ADRIANO GALLIANI has dramatically announced that Milan have withdrawn the Carlos Tevez track and Alexandre Pato will stay at Milan amid Paris Saint-Germain rumours on Thursday.
Nothing changed – but everything did. Alexandre Pato is still a Milan player and Manchester City still own Carlos Tevez, but this situation does not seem likely to change, no this month following Thursday’s drama.
Pato was set to move to France to join Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain after an agreement had been reached between Milan and Carlo Ancelotti’s side. However, the Duck has decided to stay at Milan.
Ibrahimovic trained apart in today’s session
Milan set for more talks over Mesbah
“Milan is my home. I didn’t want to interrupt my Rossoneri career after winning my first two trophies with the club,” Pato said. “I want to contribute to writing the history of Milan and the future successes of this club. This joy gives me the will to face all future matches with added enthusiasm and a desire to score and win.
“Today is a special day for me. I want to thank president Berlusconi, the club and the fans who have always believed in me.” Silvio Berlusconi is reportedly the man who called-off the deal and thus rejected Tevez.
PSG were reportedly ready to offer Pato a three-year contract with €6-7 million yearly wages – which is much more than what’s currently getting at Milan, while il Diavolo would net €35 million (€28m + 7m bonus). “Pato has decided to stay at Milan,” dramatically stated Adriano Galliani. “Tevez will not join Milan.”
Galliani was in fact in a middle of negotiations with Manchester City over Tevez. Milan seemed to finally please City’s demands, but Pato’s decision interrupted the talks and the Argentine will therefore not come.
“I promised Cassano that we would wait for him and therefore we can’t have 5 world class strikers in the squad,” added the Milan Vice President. This is in fact a big shock as Galliani declared more than once that he will wait for Tevez until the last day of the market – but now it seems Milan have withdrawn the track.
Galliani is set to return to Milano from London just as he left – with nothing in hands.

what?!!!!!!
I cannot believe this!!! This news caught me by surprise after moratti gave up this morning the next thing I was expecting to see was: ‘Official: Milan signed Tevez’. This was utter disrespect to tevez after he kept his word and intended to come to milan. I honestly believe that he would have actually made a change. I’m really disappointed. We better strengthen with nainggolan, De Rossi, 2 left backs, and benatia. People would disagree, but this is the same Pato who moves careless and sluggish on the pitch, and we’re stuck with him. Can’t believe this.
wowwwwwwww i had no idea that the tevez transfer was always depending on the pato transfer, holy crap. i thought pato was staying and tevez arriving, i guess it was one or the other. if tevez was going to come, personnaly i would have put him in ACM behind pato and ibra, thus putting boateng in the 3 man mid, it would have been like a new buy in midfield. but knowing allegri, he would have still stuck to boa in ACM role, tevez with ibra upfront and pato on bench. so u know what? if that was gonna be… Read more »
BUT WE STILL NEED A REPLACMENT FOR CASSANO!!!!!!!!
Im disgusted at Milan for this. I never knew the tevez saga all depended on pato. Shame on you Milan for this
No we don’t! We have El Shaarawy Robinho Ibra and Pato for the 2 Striker position when boateng plays OM. 4 Players are enough. El Shaarawy need more playtime!!!
At least the tevez saga iss ended and now we can spend our money on some good and young lb cdm and amf(kolarov/criscito sandro eriksen are my favorites but we will see)Anyway i hope it will end good for milan:D
Nnaigolan Montolivo Eriksen……
i hope one of them atleast joins
yeh, I think Eriksen costs too much, Naingollan would be great
another way to get discount? perhaps
PATOOOOO <3
Ooohh man.!!
I won’t see carlitoz wearing Inter’s jersey,,
Pato’s loyal to milan…that’s something money can’t buy(take note man city and psg). Hope this means sharaawy gets more playing time to prove himself now..forza milan!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pato is no Tevez. Are we expecting him to score like a maniac now just because he wants to stay.
i guess El Sharaawy is going to get more playing time now
Certainly Hope So,
Hopefully 45 minutes from time to time,
Nope. He will be playing for another team on a loan.
Thank G-D!!!!! i think they wanted to test pato to see if he is really motivated to play for us. however much i love him – and i really do – he was getting a bit too comfortable, you always need to be nervous that if you dont perform your gone and he felt like his relationship with barbara secured his status. Tevez has a horrible mentality, no doubt hes a good player and would have been good for us but do we really want a player who refused to play in the biggest game his club has ever played!… Read more »
Wtf galliani
maybe silvio berlu, or miss B.B had something to this.
never dip ur pensil in company ink I say.
I think they asked Pato wheather he wants to say, and he said “yes”. And Tevez seemed way too expensive. I can imagine only this. But then, Tevez will wear another shirt if it’s the end of the Saga. Maybe Inter’s.
We didn’t sign him, but we have time to get players for the right positions. First and foremost: a young DM.
I could see PSG snatching him,
even though Inter is more attractive,
but I hope that Inter won’t get him. . .
At the end of the Day I think it’s the best decision, It was just too big of a gamble tevez for Pato? NO way, I mean Tevez couldn’t play CL; He is Not in Game shape and to damn expensive.
Galliani and co. really blew up this one, BIG time a lot of circus for nothing.
“Papa I want my boyfriend to stay in Milan..”
“Done baby girl!”
“What are you going to do daddy?”
“I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse!”
Good One Bro!
Thank God, i prefer pato stay and no tevez but to get tevez in milan without selling pato will be a good thing. Which means we can get ganso and i heard tottenham are biding 18million euro for him and his agent is already in england to discuss with spurs. Forza pato forza milan
well, i guess tevez is destined for inter now. may be he wil play against us in the drby and am sure milan will not be bringing any replacement for cassano again. this episode has finally come to an end and i guess psg will now enter the race to sign tevez but i know he is going to end up with inter.
So this might mean, that PSG stepped down from chasing Tevez so that they could get Pato instead, if we got Tevez, but when we started chasing Tevez, Inter joined the race, and we kept on delaying the transfer with Tevez because we wouldn’t want to be obliged to take him permanently =
now Inter is chasing him,
and if we hadn’t started this transfer tactic, tevez would have ended up in PSG, without Inter interfering, so now there’s a chance that a great striker like Tevez might end up in our Biggest rivals squad
?
Forza Pato!
(Of course none other than Tevez knows if he would/will have accept(ed) a move to PSG)
yes, i am happy wth this, but now milan should include el shaarawy in the CL squad and buy a new DM like paulinho. i still believe in taiwo.
T. Silva: I’ve never Pato seen train as hard as he does right now. Looks like Pato has gotten really motivated :) also, now that we’re not spending 20+ mil on Tevez, we can use that money to buy a world class midfielder or left back. someone REALLY good. also, Prezioni says Merkel is attracting a lot of interest from big European clubs. As far as I know, Milan owns 50% of him. I think Milan should try to strengthen their hold on him, before he leaves to a team like chelsea. Can’t wait to see the day when Merkel… Read more »
Forza pato, forza milan but we need tevez to replace cassano b4 the end of season or give el sharaawy playing time in both league and CL.
This is horrible news. I’m so pissed!
Speechless . I dont tink we re gonna sign a major player dis winter .
Fester and his sidekick are really getting to me. I’m tired of listening to their bulls… This is the second transfer they promise and give us nothing. A bunch of empty promises. Where is the promise they gave Ibra, to be yet again a great team.
torres on loan, with option to buy. not sayin he is worth 30m but u never know, he is still class maybe milan can change him. ibra torres upfront with robinho behind, wow.
dat would be somthin special.
Incredible! So Pato was to be sacrifice for Tevez?
We need a LB, DM, LM,AM,and CB to replace Antonini,MVB/Ambrosini/Gattuso, Seedorf, and Nesta!
Mr Galliani please get the priority of the squad right!
Althoug I’m sad with this result I do hope this gives room for the signing of a good midfielder preferably a DM. Tevez would have been great but we already have enough firepower up front only not in the middle with most of the veterans leaving next summer we need an energetic midfielder like naingolan and montolivo would surely be helpful. Any news on flamini’s return btw?
torres on loan, n buy van der vart now so he can play in cl for 15-20m,
Line up: Ibra – Torres
Van Der Vart
Nocerino Aquilani Boateng
Taiwo T,Silva Nesta Abate
Abiati
Actually Torres on loan don’t sound that stupid, and yeah I’ll admit I’ve always been a big fan of Torres since his Atletico days. my theory on why Torres is playing so bad for Chelsea, is quite simple, remember Shevchenko? they bought a player who plays in Drogbas place, and since Drogba is highest in the pecking order, it is impossible to knock him off, the only reason why Anelka fitted in was because he adapted to a right wing/striker-like position, but it’s still a bet(guess his salary isn’t cheap) to loan Torres, because his confidence is at an all-time… Read more »
Torres is junk and you think that tottenham9a team who is a big candidate at the epl tiotle will let their playmaker leave cheaply?.Keep dreaming bro
The main reason torres is playing bad is that he got no support at Chelsea. Lampard is way to slow, ramires can’t make a great pass, essien is always injured, mikel is lazy.
This is the same exact reason torres played horrible in his last year at liverpool because gerald was injured half the year and alonso went to madrid and mascherano to barca they also had no one to provide him any support.
Watching him lately he seems to put in a great deal of effort and i feel like he would do great at milan
Mesbah from Lecce is a LB. Thats are only transfer.
Guys are we after M. Lopez again?
I hope not,
can’t see why he should be a better alternative than El Sharawy?
I have mayor confidence in Sharawy’s skills, he just needs a chance, just look how Pato turned out after being given the chance, Pato’s statistics speaks for it self
No we arent, galliani is said that he can try to sign tevez, but if he wont..will milan stay with the same squad!
Pato is for moment and for the future, and Tevez is for the moment so Pato is the best at all.
i hope this tevez deal was a smoke screen from the start, maybe this was the plan OR im just day dreaming…DISAPPOINTED!!!!:(
Damn it.
I’m very disappointed that the whole tevez saga depended on pato. personally i prefer pato, who is younger, in better shape and eligible for the champions league. pato did the right choice for milan and for himself. btw shame on you galliani for preferring tevez over pato
so mesbah and maxi lopez now, while inter nad juve get tevez and nainggolan…bah!!!!…totally pissed
lmao an then they say milan has money but we are spending it wisely? really ? on a 27 year old unknown player whose contract is about to expire and yet we are goin in the right directon by selling pato to buy a 27 year old striker with an attitude problem when also our midfield lacking as urby is average ,aqua is inconsistent and ambro, seadorf, mvb and gattuso not up to par? and our one and only good fb back is abate? really milan? really?
welcome maxi lopez. a loan move with an option to sign him for 7m
let us get things right for ones, now lets look into the areals we need to re-enforce, creative midfielder with vision, defensive midfielder and left wing back, please do make us happy!
i’d be happy with Mesbah and Nnaigolan or Montolivo :)
at least we now know that keita and montolivo will be signed by milan in the near future. for those hoping to see ganso and ericksen i guess your wish may never come to pass because milan cant afford to spend 15m above on a single player right now except we sell someone. at least these aforementioned players will add some quality to our midfield and i hope montolivo will replace pirlo well while keita should fill the boots of seerdorf
Yupp it looks like Ac Milan will sign Lopez now, this buggs me! The fact that Tevez just signed a one year lease on an apartment in Milano (5000 euro/month) leaves me to think that he will join Inter now! This is soooo bad! We get Lopez and Inter get Tevez….. what a way for Galliani to loose face.
Eww no Gallaini ruled out signing Lopez and Catania already set the deadline and its over
I think Tevez will come….come on cept Ibra we dont have a finisher and to challenge title and CL we need strikers!(Good finishers!)
Fantastic news, but yeh I’m also disgusted at Milan’s treatment of Pato. It’s also a bit depressing that Milan spent about £10m in the summer and cant afford anything else when teams like tottenham are bidding £15m for Ganso and liverpool spend tens of millions every year.
Pato has only him self to blame. Last season he went missing half the season. This season he has just been awful except for that one game against Barca. There is nothing fantastic about anything. Ibra is doing all the work yet again. He will get burned buy Allegri because he only has one world class player. But you can cheer that you have Pato. Cassano in a wheelchair would have made a better use on the pitch than Pato. He needs to improve like 200% or he will really get sold at the end of this season.
not ‘that one match against Barca’
u mean those 24 seconds in Nou Camp
other than that he was cr*ap all season
and this summer we also spend 20m pounds on Ibra and 10m euros on El Shaarawy
yeh, fair point about spending on the money on Ibra and Boateng, I honestly forgot that
Im so confused rite nw . Wat happened ? I rily wud have prefered tevez to pato . 1 gol in 9lig games is not d future i had in mind .
Uncle Fester must be sick! How can he sold Pato for only 35Mio? (when pastore was transfered for 40Mio) And Tevez is never, really never better then Pato.
We don’t need Tevez! Allegri should give El Shaarawy more playtime. What we need is a strong and young ZM or DM. For example: Ganso, M’Vila or Eriksen
It surprise me that many here didn’t knew that Pato was the one to be sacrifice to get Tevez.
el sharawy had a disappointing start with milan. so it caused galliani to sign a new player for cassano’s replacement. after el sharawy magnificant game vs psg, galliani changed his mind. i think the plan is to include el sharawy name in cl and save the money to sign ganso.
this shows us that our aim this season is the serie A and maybe the italian cup, no the ucl.
Never mind, we have El Shaarawy who I have great confidence and expectation in to fill the void left by Cassano :D Now Mr Galliani can u plz sign players we need! i.e. Monty, a LB and maybe another midfielder along with Monty. Thank you and Thank you Pato!
sign ganso?????? for how much????? who are we going to sacrifice for ganso this time? seedorf or gatuso or ambrosini or mvb. all these players combine together wont give you 7m. so where do you hope to get money from to get ganso? you guys should stop mentioning big money players because we have all have learnt a big lesson from the carlos tevez saga that milan don’t have the funds to sign any player even above 10m except we sell one. so where do you hope to get money to sign ganso or ericksen or vander vert. lets us… Read more »
how did we sign Ibra and Robinho then? both of ’em combined cost about 42m euros
We didnt sell anyone then, did we?
Remember the FFP is also near…..we can just go on spending carelessly and besides during the Ibra saga i remember Gallaini ruling it out once but then we bought him and Robinho on deadline
same thing might happen for Tevez and Montolivo
hahaha people here disliking my comment when its a reality…why not get yan m’villa/nainggolan or sandro now along with merkel or monti with a decent left back such as stefan radu on loan with the option to buy him, then perhaps get kieta and a attacking mid and a cb and a gk an we set
