Mehdi Taremi is unlikely to wear the colors of Milan as his agents are asking for money Milan are not willing to pay.

Yesterday afternoon it seemed like almost a sure thing but things quickly changed in the negotiations to bring Taremi to Milan, which are on the brink of collapsing.

As reported by’s Antonio Vitiello and Pietro Mazzara, Relevo’s Matteo Moretto, Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio and others, things are currently blocked between Milan and Taremi.

The Rossoneri in fact have an agreement in place with Porto for €15m plus bonuses but despite the reports from Wednesday, the deal with the player is missing. Di Marzio claims that there is no agreement on the salary, and in addition, agent Pedro Pinho and super-agent Jorge Mendes have now come forward and have asked for big commissions on the deal.

Di Marzio and Mazzara explain that Milan were working with an Iranian agent who was acting as an intermediator between Milan and Porto, and now the insertion of Pinho and Mendes into the mix is causing the trouble. There are a few hours left to try to find an agreement but Vitiello and others believe the chances of seeing Taremi at Milan are now small. Alternatives are being studied, but it’s possible Lollo Colombo will stay at the club and act as the alternative to Olivier Giroud.

The transfer window ends in Italy tomorrow at 20:00 CEST. Signing non-EU players such as Taremi takes longer than EU players so Milan will have to decide soon what to do.
