Noah Okafor will become a new player of Milan tomorrow, as the Diavolo reached an agreement with Salzburg.

Milan have found their striker: after failing to sign Marcus Thuram, and dealing with Porto for a while for Mehdi Taremi without making much progress, the Rossoneri have decided to sign Noah Okafor.

The Swiss has been on the books for a while, and now, seemingly out of nowhere, they have struck a deal to bring him to Milan and bolster the attack.

As reported by Milannews.it and Gianluca Di Marzio among others, all the details are set and tomorrow (Saturday) the player will undergo the medical and then go join the team in the United States for the friendly matches.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Okafor, who can in any position in attack, will cost Milan €13-15m including bonuses. Okafor, being a European, will allow Milan now to sign a non-EU right winger, namely Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal, who is the top target of the club.

Okafor is the 6th signing of the summer, after Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic and Tijjani Reijnders. An important prospect who will challenge Olivier Giroud.

It’s as though the management are listening to what the fans are saying. Noah Okafor’s name came up again after the management decided to go back for Chukwueze, thus, ruling out Mehdi Taremi. Quick and decisive move. Kudos to the new owners.

Eh… is he supposed to be the striker? How many goals will he score in the league? 5?
And transfermarkt says he is injured?

I think he is a very good addition. He offers something completely different to Giroud. On paper, we should be really good counter-attacking team. He has the potential to be similar to Firmino at Liverpool. Not a Giroud/Zlatan big, strong, able to hold the ball but a very nifty, fast, good on the ball type of striker. IF i didnt know any better, i’d say Pioli is trying to copy what Liverpool did a few years ago. – a midfield 3 of hardworking guys, a fast CB that can play a high line, 3 fast good on the ball strikers… Read more »

Yes i agree. On paper we have a good counter attacking team. But we were good on counter attacks before this as well. The problem that Milan had was against small teams that close down from the start and don’t allow you to play counter attack. In Italy thats preaty much 90% of the teams.

Coach Seedorf

Good deal but I hope he wasn’t signed for CF role. We need a CF that guarantees goals, before letting Colombo go on loan since cdk, okafor and Pulisic can play as cf also. Otherwise, we stick with Giroud, Colombo, cdk, Okafor as possible cf’s in the team. I hope this team lives up to it’s expectations. I’m still scared that losing Zlatan and Maldini same time could have a negative mental effect on the team. With Pioli’s formation change in the offing, I hope that experiment works well else, Cardinale will be ready to fire him. That guy should… Read more »
