Ismaël Bennacer has signed a new deal with Milan, until 2027.
Despite losing to Torino and crashing out of the Coppa Italia already in the Round of 16, Milan fans today have a reason to smile as Bennacer has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club.
After a long negotiation, the #4, accompanied by his new agent Enzo Raiola, arrived in Casa Milan today (Thursday) to make things official.
“Milan is happy to announce Ismaël Bennacer has extended his contract until 30 June 2027,” a statement reads. “Bennacer, who arrived at the Club in 2019, has made 129 appearances and scored 4 goals, establishing himself as a central pillar of the Rossonero midfield.”
The contract of Isma includes a €50m release clause, which will be active starting from 2024 and will only be valid for the first 2 weeks of July, and will have to be paid in a single installation. Bennacer also got a significant pay rise and will now earn €4 million per season instead of €1.5m.
Bennacer, together with his teammates, will look to bounce back from the Torino defeat already on Saturday when Milan take on Lecce away from home (18:00 CET kickoff).
