Bad defense that led to the first goal. Bad plays from Brahim Diaz and Rebic. Our players are just looking exhausted from the first minute, lack of gameplay. Seems like we keep playing side to side expecting a miracle. Smh. If Maldini thinks we can win the serie A and go far in champions league with Salaemakers and Messias on our RW, he’s joking. I have been disappointed with our transfer market so far honestly. Napoli, Inter, Juve, and Roma all look like they want it all this season and we’re depending on our last season’s glory. Smh
Its very strange that every transfer window for years we need a rw and never get one.
Coming into the summer we needed a starting rw, am and striker.
We got 2 am in adli and cdk and a back up striker in origi.
As you say we also need to replace kessie and Romagnoli

No, he is running, but Brahim-Rebic are not creating enough spaces in the middle. Theo Is frustrating tho
he runs, but if we analyze it, every team knows we are only good on the left. Theo and Leao are good but it’s hard if teams know to put all their efforts on that side. Atalanta changed their formation just for that, after the yellow card.
Teams know and unfortunately, theo and leao are still super young and get frustrated easily. (not to say an Ibra doesnt get frustrated)
Tonali was the weak point , Y is Adli on bench
I’ve said Tonali is overrated. Don’t expect amazing plays from him. Adli can do a job in that middle two. Still need another midfielder and Ziyech. I don’t want to see junior Messias starting a game again. Not the worst result away to Atalanta thou.

The pass to Rebec, it’s one on one. The waiting in the mid for Messias to pass for an easy tap in, but Messias decided to be selfish? The lob to the middle only for Messias to miss his header? I mean how many chances do you want Tonali to create to be not considered the weakest link? How many chances did other players created? 3 total besides the self created goal by Ben, Tonali alone created that many chances.
with a starting line up of Giroud and Charles, we could easily have won this game, cause we dominated the game all through after they scored.
This would hav been easier for us to win but Pioli selection cost us the game
Rebic is good from the left flank in a second half substitute when leao is tired because he(Rebic) was always coming to the flank instead of being the point man in the opponent box.
Giroud would have started with CKD in the first half instead of Tonali. Milan dominated the game all through but it’s okay let keep going

Well, this is just one game. Atalanta is definitely a tough team to beat in their home ground. So a draw is a welcome result. BUT, The worst part is, our players didnt even try to win. They were unmotivated. Only CDK and Bennacer wanted to win it seemed. The rest were just.. running. I really dont know what happened to our players. Tonali tried to win on several occasions. One time wasted by selfish teammate. Another by having a a good goal keeper. Two more time he was there but one was a goal and another one was captured by the goalie.
My question is – what’s with Adli? He had good preseason. Why not start him instead of Brahim or maybe put Brahim on RW instead of Messias with Adli and CDK rotating in the hole.
Pioli wanted to give Brahim the benefit of the doubt since he had a great game last time. It bit him in the a_ _ . I think the real crime was taking too long to make the changes.
One last thing, Brahim played RW on his MC days, so he can do it. (so can Rebic for that matter, although he has publicly said he hates it)

Given we have no decent rw and Adli looks a good prospect, perhaps 4-3-2-1 is worth a try….
