Report: Milan to now turn focus to a midfielder, Renato Sanches and Chukwuemeka are the primary targets

Renato Sanches is still a target, despite the PSG links, as is Carney Chukwuemeka of Aston Villa.

After closing the deal for Charles De Ketelaere, who will arrive in Milano tomorrow from Club Brugge, the Rossoneri management is now turning their attention to other targets in other roles.

According to Antonio Vitiello of Milannews.it, the Diavolo are planning to make at least 2 more signings this summer and there’s desire to strengthen the midfielder, following the departure of Franck Kessié, who left as a free agent.

Vitiello claims that the targets of Milan for midfield are Lille’s Renato Sanches and Aston Villa’s Carney Chukwuemeka. Both are quite complex: the 24-year-old Sanches is also wanted by Paris Saint-Germain and every day there is a new contradicting report regarding his future.

Chukwuemeka meanwhile is an 18-year-old midfielder whose contract expires next summer. However, a number of clubs has shown interest in him and securing his services may not be so easy. Head of the scouting department Geoffrey Moncada is apparently in love with the player, who won the Under 19 EUROs with England earlier this summer, also scoring a goal in the final against Israel.

There is one more month for the transfer market and Paolo Maldini & Frederic Massara want to give more quality and depth to coach Stefano Pioli after Divock Origi and CDK.

if moncada approves then milan better abide. then again, many clubs want him as well and i read that aston villa ask for at least 20m. and loan with option to buy will be out of question since he’ll be free agent next season soo

CM: Douglas Luiz / Torreira / Youssouf Fofana / Seko Fofana / Sangare / Haidara / Khaphren Thuram / Fratessi

All better options than these 2.

Milan current owner won’t be able to compete, with other clubs because of their wages limit so good bye

We probably won’t be able to afford Chuks, but if we could, he would a gem of a player. Hype around him is very justified – and this is not a bias for a fellow Brum.
