Japhet Tanganga is a target of Milan to strengthen the defense, and Spurs are apparently open to loaning him out.
Divock Origi is the only new player to have joined the Rossoneri so far, and with Serie A kicking off in less than a month, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are working to find reinforcements.
While most focus in recent days has been on Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge, Milan are also looking for new names in defense, after missing out on Sven Botman earlier this summer.
Antonio Vitiello of Milannews.it reported today (Monday) that Milan are going full speed ahead for Japhet Tanganga, the 23-year-old center back of Tottenham, who Antonio Conte deems surplus to requirements. Vitiello suggested that Milan are talking with Spurs over a loan with option to buy.
Sky Sports in England confirmed the news and journalist Lyall Thomas wrote on his Twitter account this evening that Spurs are open to letting the player leave on loan. In addition, the representatives of Tanganga, who grew up in the youth sector of Tottenham and has never played for different club, are expected in Milano tomorrow to intensify the talks with Maldini and Massara.
Tanganga made 21 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions last season. Milan view him as a suitable profile to reinforce the defense following the departure of Alessio Romagnoli on free.
Would have prefered N’Dicka or Senesi. But what I have heard, Tanganga looks like a Tomori-type player, well personality-wise anyway. He is humble and hardworker. Hope he isn’t an economy purchase but a targeted investment.
