Alessio Romagnoli has said his goodbyes, as he joined Lazio today.
Romagnoli joined Milan back in 2015 for €25 million and today he started his new journey at his new club – Lazio.
The center back, who’s been the Diavolo captain since the 2018/19 season, leaves the club as the Campione d’Italia, and he went to Instagram to post his goodbye:
“Hello Milan, after 7 years the time has come to say goodbye. You welcomed me as a kid and I leave you as a man. Milan represents a family for me and it has been for all these 7 years. We went through difficult times but then we took it all back with interest, making an extraordinary feat.
“I want to thank all the people who work at Casa Milan and especially those at Milanello, with whom I have shared unforgettable moments. I thank all the teammates I’ve had over the years, all the directors and all the coaches. I would especially like to thank Adriano Galliani and Mister Mihajlović for bringing me to Milan; a special thanks goes to Mister Gattuso because, in addition to handing me the Captain’s armband, he has been the most important person for me in my Rossoneri journey.
“Finally, I thank you, all the fans, for your constant affection and support and for always making me feel like one of you. Now the time has come to say goodbye, but the memory of an unforgettable experience and what has meant to me will always remain in my heart. I hope I have entered your hearts and left you with good memories as a footballer but above all as a man, because this is the thing I care about most. I give you a hug and see you again soon as opponents. Alessio.”
