Renato Sanches will likely join Milan, even though it may take more time.

Every few hours Milan fans only read news (which are not always ‘new’) about Renato Sanches and Sven Botman, the two Lille players who could very soon become new players of Stefano Pioli.

The latest, as reported by Milannews.it, indicates that Renato is very close to joining Milan. The negotiations between Milan and Lille over the Portuguese are at the final stages and a figure of €15-18m should be agreed. The player’s salary meanwhile will be €3m net plus bonuses.

Talks have been going on for months but everything should be concluded between the end of the month and the start of July. The reason for the delays lies with internal corporate issues at Lille. The French club needs to gather money and are currently deciding whether to sell their players before the end of June, so the sales are accounted for the current fiscal year, or after June so the money that will be received for Sanches (and Botman) will be accounted for the next fiscal year.

Milan have been following Sanches for years, already from his time at Bayern Munich. However now seems like the time for the parties to finally unite. With Franck Kessié leaving on a free, Renato would give Pioli another option in midfield, both in the central duo and in the trequartisti zone.

The situation for Botman meanwhile, is a bit more complex, per MN. While the desire of the Dutchman is clear and known and his number one desire is to join Milan, Lille would like to monetize the player as much as possible and sell him top the Premier League, where Newcastle are knocking.

An agreement between the center back and Milan is believed to be in place for quite some time over a five-year deal, but the Rossoneri need Lille to lower their demands for a deal to be struck.

If we wait for too long, other clubs will snach our targets because our recent buys have been doing great. We should get Noa lang and De kalatere. We can get both around 50M instead of spending 60M on Saniolo alone.

SJF

Your right, teams will be watching who are scouts are after. We need to be swift and quiet.

The problem is our takeover is taking months, so it probably means limited funds for transfers for now.
They have not yet confirmed Maldini and Massara. There is no confirmation of our budget if any

When are we going to be matured and wise? Every other club in respective leagues are buying quality players yet we are here still talking about same story
are we not going to meet these already build teams In the champions league?
Are we not going to play against inter juventus Napoli Roma Lazio and Atlanta and yet we will be expecting to win?
please enough of this chid play and enter the market to buy quality players
Am tired of same annoying stories every season

dan

He is quality. In today’s Futbol age is no longer a relevant stat. The question is can he perform. Mbappe was killing it with Monaco in the champions a few yrs ago and he was 18. Alphonso Davis was 19 playing for bayern in the champions. Our own Kalulu, Theo and Tonali show that age means nothing. The question is can he perform for us at a UCL level. I just want deals to be closed. I’m tired of all the rumors of Sanches, Botman, CDK, Noa Lang, Berardi, Zaniolo, etc. Until they are in, these rumors are nothing but… Read more »

By next week Friday if nothing concrete happened then milan is a joke
every year the fans have to go through humiliation from the management
why? Do they even consider how we feel?
enough is enough buy quality players now

Emmy ApacheB

Where’s the money from qualifying for champions league and winning the league?
must they pay cash?
soccer is all about money and good luck coupled with our support and believe
we need to reinforce now if truly we have to go far in all the competitions

Jay

Sadly for years we have neglected a need of quality right wing , i don’t understand why??
