Pierre Kalulu was happy with the clean sheet as Milan picked up three points against Venezia on Sunday.

Despite missing 11 players, including 3 starting defenders, Milan managed to win two games in a row, as after beating Roma, today they defeated Venezia 3-0.

It was a routine win for the Rossoneri who dominated the entire match and won with goals from Zlatan Ibrahimović (2′) and Theo Hernández (48′, 59′ pk). Milan kept a clean sheet, with Matteo Gabbia and Pierre Kalulu playing again from the start, as they were simply no other options available.

“With these two wins we started the year like we wanted. And now we want to continue on this path,” Kalulu told MilanTV at the end of the match. “Playing with Gabbia? It’s always an opportunity when there are absences. With Matteo I feel at ease. The gift to the fan? Giving my shirt is new for me, I’m happy with this thing and I feel I am appreciated.”

The Frenchman also spoke to Sky: “In these two games Gabbia and I did well. We have two players out due to COVID and we must be ready and give our all for the team. When you win everything is better.”

On his teammates: “They are helping us a lot. When you play in a role that is not your own it is normal to be a little scared but when the team makes you comfortable then it’s easier to play.”

On his preferred role: “To be honest it depends on the matches: sometimes I feel better on the right and in other games on the left or centrally.”

On the defensive phase of Milan: “For me it’s not a problem to defend in 1v1 thanks to my speed.”
