naw mate. here’s the rule “ The above offences apply even if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close. Except for the above offences, it is not an offence if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm: directly from the player’s own head or body (including the foot) directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close if the hand/arm is close to the body and does not make the body unnaturally bigger” how the hell can player react fast enough… Read more »

It’s impossible but it’s something that is happening in all the games. We got some Penalty kicks in that fashion in our favor. In most cases, there is no time for the player to change the position of the hand. Such a stupid decision to change the rules. They wanted to simplify it. But somehow they made it worse.

The written rule is so confusing but the thing that is happening is what we saw in this game.

“does not make the body unnaturally bigger” for me it’s such a confusing stupid sentence. How a player can avoid this

i’ve seen it disallowed after the ref consulted with var just couple of weeks ago. i think it was during an epl match between liverpool/man utd vs their opponents. cant remember. “does not make the body unnaturally bigger” its perfectly understandable. calabria’s handball vs juve, or lazio players handball vs milan at olimpico are the example. but ibra’s goal vs fiorentina and kessie’s vs man utd were clear cases of players who didnt use their arms to make the body unnaturally bigger hence they goals should’ve stood. and many have come to same conclusions. however, messias handball was clearly a… Read more »

I don’t know, but experienced defender usually keep their hand close to their body when blocking a shoot standing. Supposedly the rules is made to navigate this technique. I play crappy football when i was younger, and i can say for myself that during a sliding tackle this technique isn’t compliable. Apparently, we have reflex in which our hands would balance and cover our body when we are falling. It is the same like when someone aim the ball towards your face, you would reflexively cover tour face, which has it’s own rules that goes in the defender’s favour. They… Read more »

It certainly wasn’t a great day at the office for the strike force, because if they had been in effect mode, Atalanta should have crumbled by at least 5–0. All in 3 points away is good. The 3–2 scoreline makes it look as if it was a close match.

exactemundo mate. shame about the final result because it doesnt in any way reflect what actually happened on the pitch. in 2nd half atalanta even made many unforced errors because they got outclassed big time by beto and the boys. dont even get me started on the penalty and the foul that led to atalanta’s 2nd goal. and i thought the decision not to give handanovic straight red vs sassuolo was bad. something must be done about these atrocious refereeing

Great win, in a very difficult stadium. Great result, and a wonderful statement by the team.

The ending seemed to leave a bit of bitter taste, with messiahs somehow involved in both of Atalanta’s goal, but ultimately a convincing performance for 80 minutes of the match.

Tonali and 8 million dollar man Kessie with a wonderful performance, while both Tomori and King Kajaer controlled the box flawlessly. Theo with two wonderful assists, and ac wonderful final goal by Leao, who Pioli wittingly kept on.

Great result for Pioli over master tactician Gasparini. Wonderful!

Fantastic win. The scoreline doesn’t reflect how good Milan was tonight. it should’ve been 4-0 instead of 3-2. Atalanta goals shouldn’t have happened. But we are still a young team and these are the experiences the teams needs to learn how not to let go of the concentration till it’s the last whistle. Good game boys. More over, gotta give it to Pioli. This win credit goes all to Pioli’s tactics. Completely turned an fearsome tigerlike attack of Atalanta into a toothless pussycat. Perfect use of the defense, neutralized Zapata completely by using Kjaer to manmark him throughout the whole… Read more »

Good win from the team. Really happy we got the 3 points. I can’t believe that 2 referees tried to screw us in back to back games. That penalty was bullshit. It came off of Tomori foot first then onto Messias hand.

What could he have done to prevent that? And what about the foul committed by Zapata that lead to that goal? This is just garbage refereeing.

Even when we have a great game we still cant enjoy because of the biased refeering. Why wasnt VAR consolted for Atlanta’s second goal? Clear Foul. The penalty was questionable as well. Just frustrating.. Sadly this days in football there is a lot of coruption and unfair play, thats the reasons why i dont even have the same passion like before for this sport. Glad that we won any way.

Let’s not forget that Milan just played a brutal game with 10 men against Atletico and Hard up tons of energy. To come to Atalanta and get three points, regardless of the ref’s bullshit is phenomenal! Lets put that aside and celebrate this! Now they get international break which will hopefully allow others to fully recover. Tonali is getting better and better – future Milan captain in my opinion!

Bar the early performance against liverpool, what i really like about this season is, they no longer have that inferiority complex especially when they are facing big teams
They really have winning mentality against everyone
And not a coincidence it was all starting to happened after ibra came
This squad is the best and strongest squad milan ever have for the last 8 years or so
Now i want to throw up a little bit whenever i remember the likes of borini used to play for milan

People have mosquito memory. I remember RM being favored plenty of times on the CL. Does it matters now? No. It is a shame? Yes!. What I don’t like is the game to be changed. Fan’s voices must be heard. It’s a show, it’s a spectacle for the masses and if we are not amazed then it’s not worth it.

Your opinion is 100% logical, but I would avoid making changes. We must keep the same conditions in order to respect the Maradonas and Peles. We must avoid the F1 scenario

What more amazing tonight is Milan won this match with almost the same squad as the last 0-3 defeat back in January, minus 2 free agents that already left. Some of the players that play now even stayed at the bench then. It means the system is working-Pioli gets his play instilled, and players stepped up their performances. The 3 goals scored from open plays tonight compared to 2 in 0-2 win away in Bergamo back in May shows that Milan is now tactically sounded, and players like Diaz and Maignan are upgrades from the former. Maignan set up play… Read more »
