Alessandro Florenzi underwent surgery on Friday and he’ll be out for a month.
Florenzi joined Milan from Roma on loan with option to buy, and Stefano Pioli has been using the player regularly, usually bringing him off the bench.
However, Pioli will have to do without the veteran Italian for the next few months, as Alessandro suffered an injury that required surgery, as announced by the Rossoneri:
“Milan can confirm that Alessandro Florenzi underwent surgery today, with the operation being performed by Professor Pier Paolo Mariani in the presence of Club doctor Lucio Genesio at the Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome. The arthroscopic operation, which was carried out to correct a partial tear to the medial meniscus in his left knee, went perfectly to plan.
“The estimated recovery time is 30 days.” Florenzi is out, but in the meantime today Junior Messias trained with the rest of the squad and could be called up for Sunday’s Atalanta match.
