They will come out breathing fire like a dragon in the second half. We must keep our nerves calm, remember our training, play our game and then hope that our coach make the right tactical changes necessary

Now throw Giroud in for the second half to hold the ball upfront.

Kind of thinking the same, Sale should be benched for Giroud. Rebic moved to the wing and keep going with the long balls counters with overlaps from the wingers Rebic/Leao. Liverpool will press really hard at the beginning in the second half, we should use that to counter them as explained. Any way i think Pioli will wait till 65min to make changes as usual.

What a display from Milan, I knew Milan will score but two or three is a good show, at least we can see that Brahim is very sharp and hardly have a bad game, we just need to be calm and close them down the flanks.

well, if 1st half of liverpool – milan doesnt prove that ucl IS milan’s bread and butter, nothing will. milan started the match nervously; they look clueless and disorganized. they also got the taste of their own medicine because liverpool’s the master of high pressing and quick counter attacking strategies and milan had no answers to that hence 1 silly own goal and a penalty. luckily maignan saved that pen, and something visibly changed after that because then milan played much more calmly. anyone who follows football knows theo cant really defend but so cant TAA and tonite he got… Read more »

This match so far proves. CL is in Milan’s DNA. While you’re going easy on Theo I won’t. He needs to stop with the trickery and flair in our own half. Especially against MS. If he wants to play that way. Ask pioli for a position change to winger or wing back. Maldini started as a LB (I know you know this so don’t take offence) and he never did that stuff. Now we need Giroud to come in. Hold the ball up and maybe take advantage of another mistake by Liverpool.

i think theo, and other milan players, just lacked experience in such high profile match, and it showed. if it wasnt for kjaer blocking every liverpool attack and that penalty save by maignan, milan would’ve lost horribly. those 2 brought self believe and concentration back to their teammates as was shown that milan could fight back halfway through 1st half.
btw, maldini started as rb mate *wink

What a first half. My heart is still rushing. We opened the match super nervous looking like we don’t know where we are. So many missed placed passes, we allowed liverpool so much, and their press seemed unbeatable. I knew we have to wear the storm down, and that Liverpool can’t continue like this for the entire match, but I never imagined we could turn it around so quickly. At the 25 min or so, our players started to look more comfortable. Suddenly Bennaser and salesmaker distribution didn’t look so awful, and at back we managed to get some good… Read more »

I knew the first 15-20 mins of the game was very crucial for us. If we had conceded a second goal, it would have been all over. I think now we can settle down and play our football. Bennacer should be subbed off since he’s got a yellow already, to avoid the obvious.

We aren’t used to or were ready for a team this fast. Theo thinks his speed will cover his flaws but salah and Arnold are just as fast. Kessie is leaving Theo 1-1 which is never good against Salah.
You can see kessie and bennacer a step slower, perhaps thinking they have more time with the ball.
All and all we are OK, no disrespect to Porto and ATm but this Liverpool at anfield is the toughest game we will have.

Deserved to win, that can be argued. Better team, well in football sometimes the best/better team don’t always win. I pointed out Liverpool had a bit of luck bcos- the first goal was a deflection and on the third goal what are the odds that Bennacer poor clearance fell to Henderson who struck it perfectly well first team. Just bear with me, I really wanted us to win this game. But honestly Milan exceeded my expectations

The difference was simple tonight Inexperienced but talented coach. Inexperienced but talented players. The question is: Is milan a team to be an experience ground for coaches and players? Beside our goals, the better team won. We should be able to change formation when needed. Tonali should have been introduced in the second half as the third midfielder. Giroud is a bad sub when we need counter attack. Counters need fast players. Then you bring Giroud yet never use longs balls to feed him. Paradox of routine random subs that sometimes work. I agree in terms of tactics. We shud not have played 2 mids against there 3.
Also play experience players from the start, like giroud and Florenzi and then bring on the pace when the game has settled, like Leao.

I will just close my eyes for a second and think we were beaten by a better side the pace of premier league is just way too much. Seria a is more tactical while premier league just like you mentioned. But after last night I am infact more confident of getting better result in games to come even we can get Liverpool included in this list. Playing at home sansiro with our ultras we will send kind compliments of ywna chants (no disrespect though) we can score goals we can create chances with few tweaks we can get good result.… Read more »

Liverpool pace is brutal even for premier league. I believe that liverpool is literaly the worst possible opponent for us and we lost 3 2 in their turf. That is great result. On top of that liverpool is one off those tims that play 100% better at home. It is all good i happy with our team.

Anyone saying we had a good performance is saying it based on highlights. Trust me, we didn’t perform well. But it was expected. The very first UCL match after 10 years, with players without a single UCL game experience, in Anfield against Liverpool? Losing 3-2 is a victory despite our awful AWFUL performance. So, for anyone bashing our players/coach, they don’t deserve it. Positives: -Leao. He has the mentality of a big game player even though he wasn’t at his best. -Maignan. We have 3-2 scoresheet mostly because of him. It easily chould’ve been 4-2 or 5-2, -Tomori. Big mistake… Read more »

You talk too much and I think that’s why think slowly……. The score line is 3-2 and we won the first half against Liverpool at their own home, so why say we performed awfully??…… I think you are the one who watched the highlights, all these players you were bashing actually overdid themselves, out this Liverpool team in Milan condition and see the shit they gonna play…..klopp after match “it’s so funny Milan is in 4th seed” Man shut it on Pioli, he didn’t have vandijk and mane on the bench and had a team made of young boys that… Read more »

Personal attacks instead of facts? If that isn’t the staple of intelligence I don’t know what is. You must have your mind thinking all day but problem is, your thoughts are delusional. Schizophrenics think all day as well, just saying lmfao If you didn’t read what I wrote, DO. NOT. COMMENT. Period. You really don’t need to prove yourself as illiterate that urgently. I never said formation was the problem nor did I say Pioli is the problem nor did I bash our players. Get your facts straight, Einstein. Just because you are delusional, rest of us aren’t. If you… Read more »

Even though I’m disappointed in the final result, I’ll chalk this one down as inexperience and therefore a lesson to be learnt. The fast pace, high intensity of an EPL team had us shook. The high press and counter press of Liverpool was also difficult for us to play out of, so much so that we looked like a deer stuck in headlights. We still however found a way to strike back at them, not once but twice, so there’s something definitely there to build on. I said this team deserves to be lauded with praise for choosing a team… Read more »

Tonali, that boy is really confident right now. Doesn’t get scared easily. Same as Maignan, Kjaer, Tomori, Calabria, Diaz and Ibra. These guys are badass and pillars right now.

Right right even impressed by leao and rebic I wished we had Diaz back up we are putting too much on his shoulders. We lost the match and plot for 75 mins or so but in rest we showed everyone what we are capable of.

Yeah Leao started the season on a high as well, I do hope this would be his breakthrough season.
