Alessandro Florenzi has officially joined Milan, signing on loan from Roma.

Yesterday Florenzi arrived in Milano for his medical check-ups and to sign the contract at Casa Milan.

Today, he’s officially a new Red and Black player and he is already in Milanello training with the group of Stefano Pioli ahead of Monday’s match against Sampdoria. The official announcement was made on Saturday morning:

“Milan are delighted to announce the signing of Alessandro Florenzi from AS Roma on an initial loan deal, with the option to make the transfer permanent. The player has signed for the Rossoneri until 30 June 2022 and will wear the number 25 shirt.

“A newly-crowned European Champion, Florenzi scored five goals in 18 matches for Italy’s U21s and has gone on to make 45 appearances for the senior Azzurri side, finding the net on two occasions.

“Born in Rome on 11 March 1991, Alessandro came through the youth ranks of AS Roma, where he made his Serie A debut in May 2011. In 2011/12, he scored eleven goals in 37 appearances for Crotone, after which he returned to Roma. Over the following eight seasons in the capital, he played 278 matches finding the net 28 times. He moved to Valencia in January 2019 and then spent the 2020/21 campaign at PSG, where he scored two goals in 36 appearances and won the French Cup and French Super Cup.”

Florenzi, 30, arrives on a €1m loan deal with an option to buy for €4.5m. His versatility will be important for Pioli and will allow him to try different solutions during the season.

It’s a great addition. Brings with him significant serie a experience, and from his introductory interview, great attitude and ambition. Most importantly, Calabria can learn a bit from him (especially in crossing from what I’ve seen from Florenzi). Knowing Pioli though, I can see him also playing on the right flank (especially since no more potential signings in the RW department are talked about, as it seems Bakayoko and Pellegri may be the last signings this mercato + maybe Adli).

Daje Alessandro!

Great signing

BREAKING NEWS
ever since preseason, hakan has scored more goals and generated more assists than ALL milan midfielders combined.
donna won euro, hakan does well with inter, soon kessie is gonna join some epl club. nice going stingy eldiott and nazidis

Karese

It’s Maldini not Elliott. He was stupid

Milan10

so its maldini and massara’s responsibility now to provide all the necessary funds for players transfers and wages? if its only up to maldini (and boban) and money aint the problem milan would already have correa, vlahovic, milenkovic, ceballos, simakan, szoboszlai, de paul, barella, schick etc now

Milano

Welcome back Milan 10

Milan10

thanks mate. now this blog can talk football with deep insight for a chance

Phildaddon1899

Where have you been bro? Lol. Waiting for Hakan to look good to come on here?

Milan10

“Waiting for Hakan to look good to come on here?”
lol, then i guess i should’ve come here way earlier during preseason then right, because, like i said, he has been immense since then, hattrick of assists and all? back then milan couldnt score a single goal in 3 matches and when giroud finally scored doppietta vs mighty panathinaikos, freaking cb and rb provided the assists. if that doesnt scream “milan10 was right, milan needed playmaker” i dont know what to say anymore

Phildaddon1899

Oh we need a playmaker. I have a feeling we’re getting James or Isco. There’s something there. Vlasic would also be good.

Hakan is always good for a few games my dude. His inconsistency is what kills him. Look at him in the Euros. He was garbage lol.

Btw we haven’t spoken since ITALIA won. Did you celebrate?

Milan10

“Oh we need a playmaker.” i read last nite that milan are after bernardo silva. lol, that’ll be the day. “Look at him in the Euros. He was garbage lol.” u know who else was garbage in last euro? mbappe. beckham was garbage in wc 98 AND euro 2000 but he was ballon d’or runner ups in 98/99 and 2000/21. ahn jung hwan had stellar wc in 2002, charisteas won euro 2004, yet theyre avg footballers. what about james? 1 tournament doesnt define u as footballers. bad logic. inter played so well last nite and even vidal was more creative… Read more »

Been busy, bro? This site was pretty quiet and boring without your comment LOL,…didn’t mean to disrespect you martin bernhard (the senior fans)
Serie A on the roll now…Forza Milan!

Milan10

mr ricky martin IS in his senior yrs but thats not what made this side boring. its the lack of milan10-esque absolute total football knowledge and witticism. but like gandalf (who’s a milan10 of wizards) said, “i come back to this blog now, at the turn of the tide” haha

Martin Bernhard

Al cipta/milan10 you are a freaking sorry excuse of a human being and on top of that a narcisist.

but tell us how u really feel. and pretty please, do not go gentle into that good night

Martin Bernhard

Yeah when you cant refute stuff you just turn your adolescent ramblings up a notch nothing new under the sun here and everybody knows that.

Milan10

and ur more sensitive than woman’s nipples

Martin Bernhard

Like i give a damn about your insults as they tell a lot more about your feebled mind than about me.

Milan10

lol the fact that ur always triggered clearly means u care mr sensitive nipples. u got into arguments with me, u couldnt back ur shit up then ur tits have been triggered ever since

“Yeah when you cant refute stuff”
yeah like im not the only one here refusing nonsense like “italy nt is embarassment” using FACHTS

Martin Bernhard

so what if i got a temper fact is i havent spoken with you for half a year or something and then after your little hiiatus you return mocking me out of the blue as the little troll you always has been even though i hadnt even posted anything for a couple of weeks so whos to blame ? refusing i said refuting so learn english and by the way i didnt really care about watching an italian national team without ac milan players so you must be quoting someone else. Either way just dont post about me and we’ll… Read more »

“you return mocking me out of the blue as the little troll you always has been”
lol u speak like u didnt mock me with ur “i might laugh myself to death if someone can actually show me proof that milan10 supports inter” while i was gone. pathetic

“refusing i said refuting so learn english”
its a typo, i meant refuting nonsense people said here using FACTHS.
calm ur saggy tits and begone old man

Martin Bernhard

selective in your snippets of quotes as always as i also made it clear that i didnt believe you had done that and hence why i would die laughing if it actually was the case and remember even complimenting you for having some ac milan and general football knowledge even if i dislike you so seems to me that you just want to twist and turn what i previously said. Anyways im not gonna waste my time any further on this bs and i suggest you to do the same as there is no reason to clutter up this thread… Read more »

Milan10

here’s more or less the full quote:
“i dont believe milan10 is becoming inter fan as he’s frequented this blog for years but i might laugh myself to death if someone can actually show me proof that he supports inter”
u denied that u mocked the competence of doctors from supposedly developing countries like mine and now u deny u ever said that sly comment about me being inter supporter. if anyone like to twist others’ words, its u.
now stfu and begone old man

Hakan fuel will soon finish and will soon be back to his mediocrity.

Milan10

by mediocrity u mean being one of the best assistmen of serie a? what about his deadballs and final balls? judging by the way milan play lately, they surely could add some playmaking into their game.
like i said, ive seen so many #10 in my time and hakan isnt even on my top 50 list (probably not even top 100) but until milan get better replacement like de paul, ilicic, ziyech, tadic, its grave mistake to let him go. for free no less. to direct crosstown rival. goddamn

Gbenga AJOSE

I agree with you. We have less than 14 days to make amends. If we don’t sign a better 10 , then I would be so upset with this management.

Dan Ban

Relax dude . 1. Hakan doing good in pre-season? Whatever. He did horrible at the euro. Remember that? 2. He did good today: ok we know he CAN be good. He is inconsistent . He had great moments with us but had way more underwhelming performances . Let’s wait at least 10 more games to really assess. 3. In a sense you are right. We do need a playmaker. We don’t have one (other than Diaz) .i hope we get one. 4. We all fear kessie might leave. Hope he renews . Same for Romagnoli, even if he gets less… Read more »

Kessie might end up at PSG

Milan10

psg are after pogba. kessie is gonna play for liverpool if milan continue messing around this mercato. he’s perfect for klopp’s style, especially if that mediocre capt henderson doesnt renew

Milan10

1) last nite match most definitely wasnt preseason. inter are gonna destroy milan if those 2 clubs keep on playing the way they do. beckham also never had good euros. whats ur point? 2) yeah he’s so inconsistent that he took milan to ucl by being their main assistman. marotta, the guy who has won more scudetti than milan and inter combined in last 2 decades wanted him as eriksen’s replacement. u think u “milanisti” know better than him AND milan10 himself? gimme a break 3) how many times do i have to teach u all, brahim IS NOT playmaker,… Read more »

dan

woah woah woah relax. So now he took us to the UCL … single handed? .. sure. You seem to forget all the crappy games he had. Which in my opinion were a lot more than good games. yesterday was one game… ONE GAME. Let’s wait and see. He is soo consistent he didnt do squad at the euros. He had a ton of horrible games with us. YES he is inconsistent. plain and simple. Brahim is not a playment but he HAS played it. Rebic is not a CF but he has played there. Thats what we mean, he… Read more »

Milan10

did i say hakan took milan to ucl singlehandedly? i said he took milan to ucl by being their main assistman. and thats a FACHT. as a matter of fact, so far he has more assists than all milan players combined this season (including preseason). dont act dumb. hakan and kessie are not inconsistent but coaches were playing them out of positions. not everyone is as versatile as gullit. brahim is good but im 100% sure he’ll score more than he generates assists, like always. good for him but bad for the strikers. milan need playmaker asap. as for players… Read more »

Hi bro..is been long!hope you re good?

Milan10

i am great, as always mate. hope u and fellow real milanisti are too. workload has been a bitch due to covid lately but its getting normal now. and thank god for club football

Bush

Rumours were circulating in this blog about you following Hakan to inter and becoming an inter fan…. Good to see you back on this blog..

Milan10

hahaha really? lemme guess, people who said that are the exact same people who’s been bitching about maldini and milan as a club. and if i still have my football jedi perception, which i and no one else do, its that inter troll serpent of madonnina who started it. am i right? (thats rethorical question btw, everyone and their mamas know milan10 is always right) *wink

milan4lyf

I don’t think it was our management. Hakan didn’t renew. We were not sure if we’d Qualify for UCL till the LAST match with Atalanta and it’s only because of luck that we qualified. Of course any players with even the slightest common sense would know we are going nowhere under Pioli. Milan still couldn’t link more than 3 passes together as a team against a 4th rate team like Panathanaikos and sadly Pana actually were better than Milan with ball on their feet. So it was Donna and Hakan’s decision. Donna is a massive loss. But Hakan.. not so… Read more »

“I don’t think it was our management. we are going nowhere under Pioli“ well, who disobeyed milan10 suggestions and said no to conte and spalletti due to their “high” wages? goddamn right, the mgmt, eldiott and nazidis combo. “He’s gonna go off like a bulb in after a few weeks. As Milan fans, we saw this show way too many times before mate.” i dont know mate, i just saw loca, donna, cristante lift euro cup. andriy “the giant” silva joined leipzig a.k.a academy for bayern/epl big clubs, which means he’s gonna play for big club soon enough. and, like… Read more »

Do you realize that Elliot has spent 700m in investment since they took over the Chinese management? Are you aware that we have a debt over 600m?

Hakan and Donna were our backbone, and they shouldn’t have left, true, but give Elliot and Gazidis a break

Milan10

“Do you realize that Elliot has spent 700m in investment since they took over the Chinese management? Are you aware that we have a debt over 600m?”
u dont have to tell me mate, i also read what milan10 wrote 2 months ago before he left this blog. and milan current debt is actually around 100-150m, much better than inter and juve, let alone barca. i can understand not wanting to overspend when buying players but allowing key players like donna and hakan go just because milan want to save 2-5m net is unacceptable

dejan10

Great addition, welcome aboard Florenzi. Am I the only one who hopes we don’t sign Beradi?

Yusfull99

I remember Hakan was good earlier last season before his normal inconsistent started average player

Ruskin

Take it or leave it ,I have always said,it was a big mistake to let hekan leave milan ,and beleive me right now milan does not have the money for a better replacement,I won’t be surprise if we don’t finish among top 4 this season ,hekan was a pillar that was not noticed and now we shall view his importance from distance and see him do exploit with inter ….I read his comments after inter match and beleive me he was right .”it’s easier to play with players with qualities “I pity my belove milan cod I see the management… Read more »

For a first game… At least we go the win. It was ugly but that’s a good sign because champions need to win ugly too. Maignan was incredible. He wants us fans to forget about gigio quick. Not only did he make great saves his distribution with his feet was amazing to watch. If he has this consistency we have a top keeper. Defence was solid like usual. Theo was the worst one but he’ll pick it up. Krunic and tonali were surprisingly good together. If bakayoko and/or adli come we will be set for that role. I can’t stress… Read more »
