Ismaël Bennacer has recovered from COVID and will soon get back to training center Milanello.
Last Saturday Milan announced that Bennacer had tested positive for COVID-19. Today, the club confirmed that the Coronavirus is behind the Algerian.
A statement on the official website of the Rossoneri reads on Sunday: “Milan can announce that Ismaël Bennacer has tested negative for Covid-19. The player has undergone medical screening and is authorized to resume training.”
Bennacer will miss this evening’s match against Real Madrid, but will be back for the final pre-season game of the season against Panathinaikos next Saturday. More importantly, he’ll be fit to play in the first Serie A match of the season, when Milan take on Sampdoria on August 23rd.
