Giacomo Olzer has signed for Brescia, as part of the deal that sees Sandro Tonali permanently staying at Milan.
Milan renegotiated the agreement with Brescia to sign Tonali after his loan spell last season and as part of the deal they send Olzer to the other side.
The 20-year-old forward, who grew up in the Youth Sector of the Diavolo, underwent the medical at Le Rondinelle earlier this week and today the official announcement arrived:
“Milan announces that Giacomo Olzer will join Brescia Calcio on a permanent transfer. The deal will include the option for Milan to re-sign the player permanently (buy-back clause). The Club wishes Giacomo all the best for the rest of his professional career.”
Olzer made a single appearance in the first team of Milan, in the Coppa Italia against Torino back in January. The fee of the buy-back clause the Rossoneri included in the deal is undisclosed.
Mmm I’m not sure i’m happy for him to leave. Hes such a talent!
I guess if he gets experience and we buy him back ok, buy God knows what the clause is
for god’s sake Brescia gave us discounts like 10 times. literally nothing to whine about. we saved 15M + whatever other teams were willing to pay for him. all that and we get a buy-back.
I agree they got a good deal out of Brescia. It’s just sad to see Milan scrimping and scraping like this. Who wants to deal with a club who dont pay agreed fees owed to other clubs and players. Letting the best youth team product leave as well. I know there is a buy back clause but how many times have we seen this and the players never return and go on to success elsewhere. Locatelli should have had a buy back clause but you know what, he does not want to return because he felt used and let down.… Read more »
Also given our serious lack of attacking talent, it may well have been worth promoting him to first team as a back up
BACK UP TO WHO EXACTLY
Well it looks like they’ll sell Hauge, Leao is still uncertain, samu will leave and we only have Diaz as a 10. So take your pick. Hed be useful option for any of those 3 positions behind the striker.
To put things in perspective hes been valued at 10m more or less the same as Adil. Adil is league 2 performer and Olzer a star a primavera level, both young and it would be a big step up for either. So why not bet on our own homegrown players like arsenal, barca, ajax even man utd do every year!!!
Bare in mind hes 20 not 17 or 18!
