CL is over
We scored 10 goals in 2 games but couldn’t score half goal
It’s all over
Can anyone tell me what has the son of Paolo Maldini contributed to our progress in this campaign because his position could have been taken over by another top striker but instead we are careless
Now it’s all over

Poor performance by the boys, with very little urgency and energy, and not too much creativity either. I guess the pressure got to them, in a match we’re we had everything to loose, we really needed Zlatan to shout the fear out of the rest of the players.

Well, it will have to be against Atalanta then. Hopefully, with our backs against the wall, away from san siro, we will be able to come up with our best version. It’s still in our hands.

They don’t know how to break down teams that pack the bus and the dumbass bottler of a coach had no tactical nous. Does he not ever think teams would pack the bus and he needs to figure out how to overcome that. His tactics have only succeeded when the opposition comes out to play. So fast counter attacks worked.

I’m still not a fan of Pioli regardless of where we finish. Nevertheless, Milan will keep him next season so there’s no point in wishing for anything different. SMDH

You’re right but it shouldn’t have come to this – Milan knew they needed a win and didn’t really play like it. They played scared and didn’t generate any good opportunities, not even one against bottom feeding team who didn’t even try to play hard.

Of course serie a is not legit. Juve is most successful club in serie a and they won just 2 champions league titles. How is possible that you win serie a 36 times and have just 2 cl titles serie a is not a joke. Even bayern has won 30 titles in fucking bundesliga and they have 6 ucls. And people say bundesliga is a joke.

Oh ik, it makes perfect sense. We have all known this is the reason. Like I said yesterday in that inter juve match. The way juve get the. Calls is the problem. It’s always when the team absolutely needs it most and they will get a call that won’t be reviewed by var. meanwhile for Milan, it’s the exact opposite. Yes we should have won without a pk but god damn every time it’s Milan they don’t even look. Happened against Roma and Verona in the first round.

Waiting for a penalty to win is bull… Pioli is tactically inept. The strategy for this game should have been easy. Score in the first twenty mins. If a game is not coming, switch plan. The clueless Pioli spent the entire first half not seeing anything wrong. In his mind, Meite was a game changer – I don’t have anything against Meite. I think he’s a good back up for Kessie, if allowed to grow into the team. Pioli brings on Samu, because Castipenjo is a match winner. In the 88mins, he realises Çalhanoglu needs to be replaced by Mandzukic… Read more »

I agree with everything you said here, but it still doesn’t change the fact that was a pk. With what happened in the juve and inter game, I knew from that point they were tryin to get juve across the line, I knew in our game we would get fucked by the ref at some point. Other than that, it’s all on the coach

That’s what happens when you hire a small time coach. All I’ve seen are past players saying he’s done such a great job. If we finish in 5th, it’s the same fucking result from the past few years! Man the coach is the bigest problem. When Rino left i was expecting a top coach, Conti, Sarri, Gasperinior, or at least as a minimum Inzagi who is young but already established with titles and CL qualifications. I wanted for Rino to leave, but if i knew that we will get another random italian coach, i would have rather had him stay. Small coaches who only play for small results, defending 1-0 lead and play on counters. Thats exactly why we strugle when teams close down, counter attacking dosent work then. Exactly, small time coaches play like small time coaches. That won’t ever change. We need a coach that actually trains players to play in tight spaces. That can string together 10+ 1 touch passes when under pressure. You can see how nervous they get when players are on them. You can see the lack in confidence to give a splitting pass into a player at the top of the box. That’s what separates players like hakan and pirlo, xavi, Modric etc. those players can make those passes. This coach doesn’t practice that. It’s beyond obvious and you don’t have to… Read more »

Unbelievable! Pioli is just unbelievable. Since Castillejo came in I was thinking like, doesn’t the whole management see that Castillejo has brought nothing to the team? Like literally NOTHING! We got Hauge, who really WON matches for us. But he still keeps playing Castillejo. It’s like he is blind. And then Meite. I thought we are not going to make him permanent? So why even play him? The same goes for Castillejo. Castillejo never did a really good touch. Even I got the same skill and I don’t play good football. I don’t even know how he got so far.… Read more »

10 minutes in the game and it was pretty obvious that Cagliari is trying to park the bus. Yet we pass the ball around for 88 minutes and at that moment Pioli finally understood that passing the ball around against 11 defenders wouldn’t work. Even amateur coaches know that when the defenders close the game you should bring tall players and play high balls. For 88 minutes Hakan didn’t have a single cross that can reach players but he stayed in the game and fucked up every cross till the end. Even the starting line up was wrong from a technical point. On paper, it was Milan’s strongest, but technically it wasn’t. A proper coach analyzes his opponents, studies their pattern of play, their players, looks at possible scenarios and comes up with a game plan. If Pioli had done that, then he would gave figured out in twenty minutes that he needed to switch plans. He could have started with a different line up to suit the occasion. A master tactician always anticipates scenarios. I suspected the fans shouldn’t have been carried away by the Turin victories, because Pirlo is… Read more »

Even until now, I am still impressed with Carlettos works, how he converted Pirlo as deep lying playmaker, and most impressing was when he came out wih christmas tree formation as the answer of lacking powerfull striker at the time. well, that was devastating result. again milan couldnt win using spamming through ball strategy vs team that sit deep inside their own half, hell even their own box. like i said at the start of the season, that strategy works vs team that allow u spaces near their own box like torino or attacking teams like juve or napoli, but against teams that park the bus, that doesnt work because there are no spaces to send through balls to. u could blame single player for what happened between 11 vs 11, but then u wouldnt read the game well. pioli… Read more »

Atalanta will destroy Milan next week; they will sit back and do counter attack like they won 5-0, as Milan will throw more body in attack; which is strange why Pioli not did it now, what we can do now is hoping and hope is not a strategy. Strategy is we need strong Coach with great character, and squad depth, but I am not sure about the depth as no CL no investment, so wish us a good luck

That means we will get young players to develop them. But then we go and gets a coach that has no clue how to develop youth players! The management have zero clue what they are doing with this team

If we don’t finish in top 4 this year (and it doesn’t look good at all for us at this point), next year I don’t see it happening either. Probably Allegri will be the new coach of Juventus, Sarri at Napoli, Morinho at Roma. Adding to this 3, Inter and Atalanta who most likely will have the same coaches, it will be really hard to crack top 5 with no money and a mediocre coach like Pioli.

Just read a news: Pioli said that not reaching the CL would be a disappointment but NOT a failure, as it the foundation for winning has been laid.
I can’t accept that. It’s a big failure for a team who already reached the EL last year and led the league for the first half season!
The foundation was already made during last season’s finale. There’s no progress if we don’t qualify for the CL.
Whatever the result is this season, changing manager is a necessity. We’re not going any further with this coach on both tactical and mental levels.

Zero chance of Napoli & Juve to drop points against the two mid-table teams and even less chance of Milan actually winning probably the best team in Serie A (yep, they’re far better than Inter – just remove Lukaku from Inter for 2 months and they’d collapse).

I bet Atalanta will score from their first attack and after that it’s game over. 4-0 to Atalanta.

I agree if our plan was going with youth and experience, getting ragnick, someone with a good record and style of play, would have been the obvious choice. Pioli was only ever going to be a good stabilizing coach. He can’t develop our youngsters at all. Look at gabbia, Kalulu, hauge, maldini. All ride the bench even when we are winning 7-0. Yep. Maldini has no experience building a winning team. This is why we needed Rangnick or Luis Campos and Christophe Gaultier.

Pioli teams always fall hard in the 2nd half of the season. Once his team is found out it’s game over.

Milan should move on from Maldini and Pioli. Either we get Ralf Rangnick or Luis Campos and Christophe Gaultier next season.

I agree Milan is too big for rookies and mid table coaches. I love maldini but he needs to work under someone with more experience. There’s no shame in putting the good of the team first, he needs to learn and then in a few years, take over again, but for now he needs to be an assistant

most annoying thing is, most people leave maldini out of this mess, if he couldnt get funds from the management to sign enough talents, does he not have enough influence too as director to select a good team or formation or advise on players like hauge and tonali getting involved, rather than castillejo and krunic?

I often wonder the same thing. This is why I believe Maldini has to take some of the blame. He got rid of Gattuso to sign Giampaolo who played a completely different system after knowing that we finished 1 point behind 4th place. We should gone with the Ralf Rangnick project. Now that we don’t have that option I strongly believe we need changes at the top. Starting with Maldini and Pioli. Replace them with Luis Campos and Christophe Gaultier. Offload Dollarumma and replace him with Mike Maignan. Get rid of Calhanoglu as well. Bring back Pessina from Atalanta. We… Read more »

Shot I’ve been blaming maldini for the transfers and coach appointments this whole time. He’s not in charge of the money but he’s the one with the recommendations and scouting. He’s the one that choose pioli, he’s the one that wanted every defensive player known to man despite the fact our offense was what needed work. No one can tell me over the past 3 transfer Windows, that we couldn’t get a fw, cam and rw especially when we can all name really good ones for 35 mil or less

Watermelon.. LOL.. the right word. Im curious to see the management’s reaction if we dont go to UCL this year.

Will Pioli remain? Will he be sacked and replaced with another rookie who had one or two good years coaching a team? Another former legend slaughter?

What if they Win this sunday? Will it be another Watermelon season?

I lowkey want Gazidis to step in and go for Unai Emery – affordable, tactical efficiency, won titles(Winning Mentality.) and will probably win another title against ManU soon.

Even if they get CL this year, next one they will be 5or6 place again. The only reason why we are even in a position to go to CL is thanks to rookie coach Pirlo and even Rino. Juve, Napoli and even Roma will have top coaches next season, so no way this idiot Pioli will be able to do something. If the menagmant really wanted to bring Milan back to the top they would have invested money same like Inter, Atletico or Liverpool in past years for exmp. Yup. You can’t get a coach with zero tactics and expect to be a top team. At least with gasperini and pep and tuchel, their systems are set up around high press and quick passing. They then have the players to go the long ball route if needed. We are simply one dimensional with the coach and players we have.

Atalanta bench players are way better than ours and they all play Gasperini tactics very well. So regardless of the Coppa Italia final Milan most likely won’t get more than a draw or a loss to Atalanta. Pioli is a coward and it showed against Cagliari. We could sign Tammy Abraham on a dry loan or loan with an option to buy instead of a useless Mandzukic who hasn’t played a competitive game in nearly a year.

We also could have signed Felipe Anderson for RW on a dry loan or loan with option to buy.

We had better options than Mandzukic and there’s no excuse for not signing a RW in January.

Money has nothing to do with it. There are plenty of loan options that we could have gone for. This is why we need an experience director of sports and not a rookie.

I agree with both of y’all. It’s a combination of everything. We had the chance to get better coaches but as usual we are sooo concerned about the immediate debt accrued instead of the amount we can get in the end. You get cheap coaches, you get cheap results, you get cheap players, you get cheap results. This management will get yes man coaches that aren’t used to above average players so they are happy with that. Why else would you not go for conte or ragnick? We didn’t even sign a trequartista as Giampaolo used Suso instead. SMDH We should have gone with the option for Rangnick when Milan decided not to continue with Gattuso. I wasn’t really considering Ibra since he cannot stay fit for half a season. He has not been around all the times we needed him the most. Your talking about those guys from Lille but do you know their background? Are they as new as maldini or are they new but have been studying under someone with experience. The way they operate compared to maldini indicate they’ve had training in that position. Again, maldini has done great in terms of getting defensive mind players. Key word is defense here. What about the attack? What about the coaching situation? Or are you happy with pioli? Ragnick would have been better. Maybe your happy with us potentially being the first club in Italian history to be top spot for… Read more »

Your right, and I don’t see why Chelsea wouldn’t send him on loan with the option to buy. Even if we didn’t redeem him, he could have helped get us over the line. Maldini and co simply have no clue what they are doing when it matters most. Had we not had the same pressure, he could possibly have done better, but with the pressure that Milan brings, he’s making bad decisions

Totally agree. I don’t think we would have had any issues getting Tammy Abraham on loan even if it was a dry loan. He’s also friends with Tomori so it wouldn’t be an issue for him to come to Milan.

But Maldini chose Mandzukic who is old, injury prone and hasn’t played a competitive game in almost a year.

I can’t make sense of that. I respect Maldini as a pass player but as a sporting director his poor decisions in coaches and players is costing us to miss out on top 4.

Exactly, tuchel knew he wasn’t going to play him when he got to Chelsea. It would have been perfect timing a loan in December and we would have got a striker with a aerial threat but young and quick with a point to prove as well. Manzukic are u kidding me what a success he’s been and he hadn’t played for a season! Tammy would have jumped at chance imagine a opportunity to come to Milan and learn off zlatan, in a title race too at 23!i bet he would have scored us double figures and we wouldn’t be sat… Read more »

Bro it’s the same thing with brobbey! He’s like 18, going to be the next big forward. Bringing him to Milan to learn from a ex. Ajax great such as zltan would have been perfect! Literally a passing of the torch! Tammy is the same thing. Hell we could have gotten both of them for next to nothing!! It just makes you scratch your head and wonder what the fuck is really going on at milan

Yes. Exactly. It would have been the perfect solution for us. And I believe Tammy Abraham would have an effect similar to Tomori.

He is perfect for our game. Similar to Ibra but younger and hungry for success. It’s a shame we didn’t go for him. We would have won a lot more games and secure Champions League spot a long time ago.

What a shame. This is why I have such issue with Maldini. How could he miss such an opportunity? SMDH

Mandzukic shouldn’t have been an option for us. Especially if we are serious about a youth project.

You guys should stop blaming Maldini..there is no way Maldini would not buy solid players if fund is provided ! Blame the management who is only after their investment and not Milan . This management want to go tru a longer route for Milan to reach the pinnacle of Europeans football again. They don’t want to spend like other big clubs. Inter for example spent a lot and the result is there for all to see.

Atalanta don’t have a budget of top club and they spent less than everyone including Torino and still have a better squad. It’s not the amount of money you spend or have. You can get quality players on loan with an option to buy like Tammy Abraham so why is Maldini choosing players like Mandzuukic? The point is the bad decisions management is making on the players we sign and that’s primarily Maldini. Mandzukic signing is a perfect example. We got Diaz on a dry loan. Tomori, Meite and Tonali on a loan with option to buy. Therefore we could… Read more »

You making one bad case out of many good cases to criticize Maldini ?? So if you do 99% good thing and 1% bad thing , would consider yourself a failure ???

Problem is that 1% you speak of is about to cost us a champions league spot. That 1% consist of a trash 1 dimensional coach, no rw, no cam, no guaranteed cf. sells our best youngsters for peanuts and gets garbage like leao, keeps trash like samu, allows the team to get players like krunic etc. that’s your 1%.

This thing is not easy the way it appears . We are just here sitting down on our comfort zone criticizing . I will continue to repeat it that the big chunk of the blame should go to Elliot.

For sure no manager is but all the big teams managers go for the right players. Only Milan thinks of mandzukic, krunic, meite(who I don’t have a prob with) zlatan, leao samu and even salamakers(dispute his fantastic work ethic) as players that can guide us to the top. You can’t seriously say not getting Tammy, brobbey, thauvin, ikone( likely not possible at the time) etc etc in January would not have at least pushed us to the end with inter. Even de Paul should have been purchased at least 1-2 years ago. Yes Elliot needs to give more money, but… Read more »

Yup, I was pulling my hair out when they really decided to go with mandzukic. Such a bad mistake and shows how cheap these guys are willing to be. We won’t ever make it out of mediocrity until we decide to stop being cheap

Apparently we are selling Leao and Hauge and we will try to Bring Giroud and Michitarian. Normally I don’t take this kind of rumors seriously but based on our current situation, it could be some truth behind it.

who knows what might actually happen but id question that rumor as its from sempre milan and it even has its source from a twitter profile.. They post everything related to milan with a very low level of journalistic credibility,

The sourse is Gazzetta and Daniele Longo. Good thing about sempre is it links the sources.

i followed the link but must have looked at a different article then because i was linked to a twitter profile that wasnt in relation to gazetta, anyways sempre milan is blowing hot and cold on the same stuff and is often posting contradicting stuff in a matter of hours and consistently post falacies but if you are happy about the site fine with me. When that is said they seem to care more about clicks than looking for the truth,

Yes but at least they care to post not like this abandoned site. I’m not a fan of Sempre but it post every single news from different sources. It’s like a news reader about Milan but you as a reader should choose which news to believe. Anyway… It’s now all over news that Milan is trying to buy Giroud. Like they learn nothing from Mandzo case

Well i understand you and in some extent i think the fact that they post as much as they do is both their force and their achilles heel but yeah i like using the site as well for that exact reason but it deffently also takes some criticismn from the reader. Well maybe he would do well for us but he certainly wouldnt be a choice id go for but i have my doubts that we will actually move for that player. Currently he earns around 6 mil pound a year and he propably would expect a fairly high salary… Read more »

Y’all see all of our main attacking targets are going now taking a backseat lol belotti and vlahovic are most likely not gonna happen. As for de Paul we still want him but I just don’t see how we can afford him at 40 mil. Don’t see why Milan hasn’t tried going for Brandt that’s shows a listed price of 25 mil last I checked.
