Ibrahimović out for 6 weeks following a sprain to his left knee, will miss the EURO tournament in the summer

Zlatan Ibrahimović is out of EURO 2020 due to the injury suffered against Juve.

Ibra walked off the pitch of the Allianz Stadium on May 9 with an injury, watching from the side as his teammates beat Juventus 3-0 on the same night, and then beating Torino 7-0 a few days later.

Today, the severity of Zlatan’s injury was revealed. While the situation is better than initially feared, Ibrahimović will still have to sit out of the next few weeks, as confirmed by the Rossoneri club:

“Milan announces that today Zlatan Ibrahimović was visited in Milanello by Dr. Volker Musahl (UPMC Pittsburgh) following the recent sprain to his left knee that took place in Juventus-Milan. According to the specialist indications, the player will be subjected to a six-week conservative treatment.”

Damage to the anterior cruciate ligament has been avoided, but Sweden have confirmed that the 39-year-old striker’s new injury means he’ll miss the EURO: “I spoke to Zlatan today, who unfortunately told me his injury will prevent his participation in the European Championship this summer,” said Sweden coach Janne Andersson. “Of course it is sad, especially for Zlatan, but for us too. I hope that he is back on the pitch again as soon as possible.”

In today’s press conference, Stefano Pioli confirmed that Ibra will be there in the locker room with Milan against Cagliari at San Siro. Zlatan finishes the season with 15 goals in 19 Serie A games.

What a fixed game Inter-Juve. Seria A has zero decency. If i wasnt such a big Milan fan i would have stoped watching this shit show long time ago. I hope we are not on the reciving end of this fixing, they will clearly try to fix Juventus in CL spot.

Exactly ! If not love I have for Milan, with this match , its over…Imagine even 11 against 10 Inter could not win or even draw….This is disheartening !! Clearly , Seriea A wants to smuggle Juve into top 4

I could untherstand Inter not beeing motivated to a certain degree (but even that was very suspicious, they didnt even wanted to send crosses in the box when loosing, just pass back and waste the time. Very strange.) However the ref was the one who clearly did most of the job, 2 penaltys for Juve. Two canceIed goals for Inter. (He change the decision on Chelini own goal only because VAR.) On the second penalty for Juve and Lautaro goal he didnt even wanted to watch VAR wtf? Dont untherstand why other clubs in the league dont complain to FIFA… Read more »

ok, seriously, wtf did i just watch? if thats derby d’italia then serie a needs to be disbanded altogether. from dubious penalties to chiellini channeling his inner penaldo/moneymar, thats cringe festival at best, calciop. disgusting.
i really hope milan win big vs cagliari tomorrow so they’ll qf for ucl at last, and also so rubentus will play in europa league, destroying them financially

Typical Inter Merda and Rubentus collusion. Let’s hope they haven’t paid the ref for the Cagliari match against Milan.

In all fairness, Cagliari have a genuine reason to make life difficult for Milan – they are trying to avoid relegation. But, Milan should win easily based on recent form and quality of the squad.

Forza Milan!

Juventus entering cl is good for our league, over Napoli or Atalanta because currently now serie a is turning to farmers league we need all the big ambitious club and big faces if not for uefa new rule only 1-3rd would have been in the cl

Where were you when Muntari goal against Juve was a clear goal but was disallowed. That single disallowed goal change our history till today. That’s disallowed goal has made Milan a shadow of itself for almost a decade.Am sure u are an Intruder here , you are not a Milan fan

This league turned in to farmers league mainly because of this. Scandalous match fixing. So no, match fixing is definetly not good for any league.

The reason why serie a has been standing since, when Milan and inter died was because of juventus, they have been carrying our league single handedly give them some respect atleast, where is the highest place Napoli and Atalanta have reach in cl, are they willing to spend to go far am not a juventus fan but I know that if not for them watching Milan match would have been a problem because of Ronaldo my local TV channel broadcast serie a matches

If Napoli drops point Against Fioro than Milan will be free from conspiracy… Let’s see

Why dyu always want someone else to do the job for you. The task is simple, win tomorrow and qualify, regardless of whatever happens in any other match. Let’s hope we can do that. Its do or die tomorrow.

Its not up to you when they are fixing games, lets be real. I think Milan will qualify and they will actualy fix the game Fio-Napoli. They already made Napoli drop points against Cagliari by canceling a clear goal for Napoli. But even that i am not a Napoli fan i dont want them to drop points in this kind of fashion. I hope both Napoli and Milan qualify. Cause both teams deserved it.

U failed to understand my comment… When there is conspiracy around u then nothing is in ur hands… For the last 10 yrs Milan is facing this type of conspiracy led by Juve n Inter n Roma…. That’s why i m little bit worried… After Napoli-Fioro match it will be clear… If Napoli win this match then i m 100% sure that they are seriously trying to keep Milan out of UCL

The thing is Napoli will suffer for this seria A match fixing because am sure Milan will qualify for sure it’s a sure the match was a fix match between juventus and inter anyway am sure we qualifying if anyone is to leave the spot for juventus am sure it’s Napoli and I taught we have better head to head than juventus why are there above us in the log table

Did you guys see that the standing was shortly 3:1 for juve when inter got the goal? Then they corrected it to 2:2. And shortly after the penality was given and it was 3:2. It was fixed that juve will win with 3 goals. Pretty sure.

The conspiracy theorists are here…
Instead of attacking every refs and teams and calling them cheaters and match fixers, we should focus on winning against cagliari.

“Perisic doesn’t do anything, I see him standing still. The referees should come here to explain what they saw,” former Italy international Del Piero claimed.

“Cuadrado pretends, but it’s there, it’s Cuadrado’s leg that goes towards him(Perisic), the foot goes between his legs. It’s not a penalty, but maybe we’re from another era of football, as none of the three decisions were penalties.”

based on the rules when a Penalty kick is awarded if both VAR and Ref has the same opinion, The ref does not go to VAR. I never said refs don’t make mistakes, I said that believing the conspiracy is wrong. CEO of italian league if a Fiore fan, half of the staff are from Milan. Rizzoli a former worldcup finalist is the the person reviewing refs.

and lets not forget that even in Calciopoli we were one of the teams that got punished.

Well, milan just extended a 7mio euro p.a injury prone player. What a decision!
Where is “the project” you are talking about? A project which involves talented young players.
Firstly, Experiences are of course good but it doesn’t not mean overpaying 40years old player.
Secondly, We have coach who imo can’t really get the best out of young players or is not really good at developing young players.
I sm afraid that we will lost our talented players at the end of season

“Where is the project?”, “Can’t get the best out of young players”…huh?

Frank, Rafa, Brahim, Alexis, Teo, Davide, Tonali, Hauge, Gabbia, Tomori, Kalulu, Bennacer, Dalot, GG, are all under 25 y/o… even Romagnoli is what? 26 maybe.

Ibra/Kjaer are the only players of any significance on our squad who are past their physical prime.

He’s talking about hauge, gabbia, kalulu and maldini. These players should have played more. For sure pioli has no clue how to develop youth lol and just recently made tweaks to the formation.

The Project : We are giving 7mio/year to 40 year old ibra next season. This is the point i am asking about project. Attack is our main weakness. Yet we are still counting on Ibra. Dalot,Brahim,Tomori are not yet ours Developing young players: your point of reference should be first day of pioli in charge. Many names you mentioned are already established starter even before piolis time. Gigio,Calabria,Roma,Kessie,Bennacer,Theo. You should not give credit to pioli. The rest except Alexis are benchwarmers most all the time. Tomori got chance, when the pressure on Roma increases. Trust me, if pioli still have… Read more »
