another win by non-super league participant vs the snobbish, self entitled super league founding club. this is why we love football; the unpredictability, the spirit and passion and most importantly, the beauty of sporting aspect of football. milan deserved to lose. playing 2 dm just to block sassuolo’s attack rather than playing 1 dm and 1 playmaking cm to assert dominance showed pragmatism (read: cowardness). they didnt even execute counter attacking strategy properly by implementing nice 1 touch passes and through balls to exploit leao’s and rebic’s pace. instead, they kept sending long balls and crosses like ibra was playing.… Read more »

We have hauge on the bench who came in a rescued a point last time and we fucking keep him on the bench!!! Pioli needs to be fired today!!! Bonera did a better job subbing in for him! Get a real coach this summer. A coach players want to play for. I said he wasn’t the answer even when it was unpopular to say it. Guess what, he’s proven that he is indeed incompetent. This team is playing better than giampalo, but that’s bc we were under playing, now we are playing at where we are and haven’t improved!

Yes it’s hard to understand why hauge doesn’t get a go , like in Europa league where he got us through group stage then gets left out of the squad. He saves our arses a few weeks back and barely gets another go after that . Pioli has lost the fucking plot, if we don’t make champions league which isn’t looking good , he must be sacked . Like garrison before him. Ibra suspended than injured again , always injured Missed over half the season but goes & plays for Sweden , wot a fucking joke . Useless Europa league… Read more »

You are correct, gattuso collapsed at this end of the season as well. Even if we make the champions league he needs to leave. There’s no way he’s going to change his style next year as well.

Pioli has to try something new, formation change, hauge starter, only use krunic or samu if injuries suspensions take there toll. We can’t rely on teams dropping points cos we are goin to if we play as we are doing. I say go for it, attacking play we have a solid defence if we don’t sit back and invite pressure. 352,3412,control midfield,2 up front, anything that will give our opponents a new look because we are predictable. Kessie bennecer always outnumbered in midfield, and God forbid kessie gets injured cos we are screwed then

Yup! We should have been using a 352 variation. So 3412, 3142. Hell even a 343! Something that will give us numbers in midfield that can control the ball and create chances. But to do this now, hauge and Theo need to be our wingers. Rebic and zlatan UL front.

From tittle favourite to champions league qualification strugglers
Am highly disappointed and I will blame the management for not having fore sight of the future from beginning
We sorely depended on Ibrahimovic who’s 39 years to finish the season without missing a game and as a result of this we refused to buy a quality striker
We also depended on a midfielder who couldn’t make a depleted Torino team
It’s the management fault And Pioli is getting it wrong nowadays

I’ve been saying it all year that the management fuck this team by only focusing on defense when really it was the offense that needed the most help

absolutely we should have gotten both thauvin 5-10 mil in january and a real understudy to zlatan like scamacca would have given us far more leverage in these couple of months. Anyways i think we have been pretty much playing unconsistantly since late november and for the last couple of months our luck whent away.

Absollutely. Even during the bigest hype we had a lot of luck while winning a lot of those games. Some people on this page actualy pointed it out even back then. Now Pioli luck runned out and this is the result.

Exactly! This was when we should have improved the attack! Between last 2 January and last years summer transfer Windows, we could have gotten players in all 3 areas. Now we will be forced to get all 3 in the summer. We have no choice and those players will cost more than what they had been. Kudos to maldini for getting tomori but guess what, our offense needed the most help out of all the positions and he got a zero grade for not even bothering to get them. Instead of payin the little extra, we now get to spend… Read more »

I said in the Winter, offer some cash for Thauvian instead of waiting until the summer for free transfer. We needed a RW and he was a good RW avaliable for cheap. 10mil max and we would have gotten him, maybe even for less. But no, Milan didnt even wanted to spend that much. Now reports say he is not sure if he still wants to join Milan, prob would wait to see if we qulifay for CL lol. The way we are spending money will prob be stuck with Sala as a starter next season again. Btw Tomori is… Read more »

Exactly, this is the problem, Milan wait to long for every single person we are interested in! Happens every damn time. We want to be cheap and won’t spend the extra 1-2 mil. We never miss out bc it’s like 15 mil or more. It’s always just 2 maybe 3 mil.

Yeah i was one of them because we have been testing our luck for the last half a year. I never expected us to win the league and also said i expected inter to win the league and that we would get usurped by juve in the process as they had far more depth within their squad. Obviously i was hoping for the best as the rest of us but we have been playing with fire for a long time by now. I dont blame maldini or even pioli as they have been working with limited resources even if i… Read more »

Man I’m blaming maldini and all of those guys including pioli. It’s their jobs to recognize what this team needs. It was obvious even when we played a 433 that we needed a cam, rw and cf. we still need all 3 positions and yet all we get and are linked with are cdms, cb and db. Oh we need a lb to but nah, no need for that either. The owners have shown they don’t know shit about football so it’s up to those who work closest with the teams. We could have gotten plenty of players but just… Read more »

It’s simple. Who is the one in charge of getting players? Who is the one shoes deciding what players to get? When have you seen maldini going in for the positions we really need help in, as much as he has for cdms and defenders? Tell me if this makes sense. We would pay 20 mil for simakan bc he was too much. But we will go ahead and pay 30 for tomori? When shit like this happens, you can call bs when they say they don’t have the money bc they do. Tell me, Milan is not in a… Read more »

It’s not that simple. By the way, Simakan picked up an injury at a crucial time. Duarte was set to leave. Gabbia was injured and only Kjaer and Romagnoli were available. We were even playing Kalulu as CB. So, a new CB was a matter of urgency. Yes, there was delay in negotiation for Simakan, but that’s normal. Bargaining is part of the game.

Unfortunately, he picked up an injury after he had already hinted a move to Milan by dyeing his hair red and black. That’s when Tomori became an imperative.

I don’t have a problem getting a cb, what I have a problem with is they literally ONLY focused on a cb and a cdm. As for the delay, if we pulled the trigger like a real team, we could have got him before the injury and then who knows what could have happened. We needed a cf, a cam and a rw badly in Jan. More so than a cdm or cb. As you can see, we can’t score and zlatan is literally the entire offense. We could have gone to a 3 back like we should anyways, but… Read more »

Pioli logic: no matter what happen, krunic, samu must play. Other players should pray that they will be chosen to come off bench!!
Why he opted Mandzukic who has never been playing in competitive matches for 10 months over hauge? This coach has really NO tactical awarness.

He also prefered Conti infront of Calabria, who we almost sold cause he was on the bench all the time. He only gave Calabria a chance when Conti got injured. Simmilar with Rebic last season. Even that it was obvious that they were one of the best players in the team. Paqueta also was left on the bench while Bona who was known to be leaving at the end of the season was still given playing time. I loved Bona but it didnt made sense to be giving him chances when you know he is leaving and you have a… Read more »

Totally agree and that’s a good point. I don’t rate Pioli at all and I was disappointed when Milan chose him to replace Giampaolo.

Milan will keep Pioli next season and chances are we will suffer the same misery as this season. Pioli is only an interim coach. Nothing more. His decisions are suspect as you rightly pointed out.

I’m done speaking for Pioli. This loss in all on him and his cowardice. We have a leaky defence and instead of continuing to attack when we are leading, he switches to a defensive play and attracts the opponent. And it’s not even good defensive counter attacking football like Man Utd play, no! we give back the ball to the opponent immediately after we win it. Look how vulnerable Sassuolo looked when we started to attack them after they were winning. Why couldn’t we play that way before conceding. And what’s it with bringing on Krunic to protect a lead?… Read more »

I don’t know what’s so hard in beating Sassualo, not even a draw We lost to a team that is not fighting for scudeto or against relegation. Honestly, this is pathetic..With this defeat now, we have lost grip of second position. The saving grace is Roma to pick point against Atalanta which looks unlikely. This management didn’t make plan for scudeto. They only aim at top 4 and that’s d criterion against which Pioli will be judged. We had all the chance in January to fix that right wing but we rely on Castilejo and salamaker…A Thauvan would have been… Read more »
