before eriksen’s resurgence, conte inter’s put so much emphasis on wingplay and quick counterattacking strategy. but now they can also attack dangerously from the middle especially if eriksen and alexis can connect well. its calabria and theo’s job to stop inter’s wingbacks and tonali and kessie’s job to nullify barella and eriksen. i hope they’ll do their jobs well and i also hope rebic, hakan and ibra can connect well dissecting inter’s fairly weak defence.
lets win this. all the best

Big day for the boys!
I hope they give them hell!!

I am a little disappointed we are not starting Rebic and Leao. Leao was the match winner in derby 1.
Hopefully he will have a good impact off the bench.
Also surprised Tomori is not starting, his physical attributes would be useful v Lukaku

Calabria was outstanding in his games in midfield. Kalulu is perfect as a player to cover rb and CB at the same time.

Anyway we are lucky it’s not 3-0, wait till inter pick up, they have been slow.

So yeah sure, keep playing with this formation that is being schooled again

calabria wouldnt do anything more than tonali does but he’s needed on the flank. ffs he barely can contain perisic and u want him to go toe to toe with eriksen and barella? no way.
“So yeah sure, keep playing with this formation that is being schooled again”
what change would calabria provide regarding the formation? it would still be 4-2-3-1

Romagnoli has costed us so much this season. Why not start Kjaer/Tomori. I honestly think our defence was better with Gabia than with Romagnoli. In Pioli tactics the CB need to move a lot and this dosent suit Romagnoli who is very slow…

It’s quite horrible cos they’re harder to break down once they get into position but very easy to breakdown when you continuously pressure them and don’t allow them to get into position. That’s how every conte’s team plays and if our coach really analyzed the team he would know that. Smh

Nathan Graegin
Nathan Graegin

That’s why I prefer to play a 352 variation. It’s very good at ball retention bc you have wing play, you flood the center as well on both offense and defense. Put that together with speed and you become a destructive force.

Pioli undoing his own work. I said it before the game Kjaer is coming back from an injury so we should have started with Romagnoli and Tomori.

Kjaer was at fault for the goal and Romagnoli doesn’t have the speed to keep up with Lukaku. Therefore having Tomori to play would have been much smarter.

45 minutes: Inter started on fire and completely eliminated us for the first 20 minutes, but we managed to take control for most part of the remaining minutes. Inter still look better, but this is still a massive improvement over Spezia (which admittingly isn’t saying much, since that was such a horrendous performance). Hakan still completely out of form, and is really not able to give us that extra edge when we’re on Inter’s 30 meter line. Salasmaker also looks out of form, with very little contribution in attack but also very little coverage of Peresic. We have an extra… Read more »

But its the menager fault for constantly playing him when he has better players on the bench. I wont mind if we give him to Chelsea and get Tomori + some cash for him.
