Romagnioli is very poor, he pretty much let Lukaku run in and score. Salamakeais is terrible and should never play – he is next borini. Hakan is lazy and just very poor – he doesn’t deserve whatever money he is asking for. Inter isn’t playing better today but they are deadly in attack and finish their chances. Tomori on the bench while our defense is all over the place.

Tonali is terrible. He has no positional awareness. Like a headless chicken.

Our only attacking plan is to cross the ball for Ibra

Lot’s if tactical errors I can point out but what is the point. Normally we lose when we get behind and bow we are three behind.

We should stand up and clap for Conte. He outclassed us in every tactical sense

Damn, it’s almost as if I can’t repeat myself anymore. Speed kills. Roman needs to be dropped plain and simple. I said tomori and even kalulu needs to play bc they are more athletic! Look at what a fast winger can do to a team. Hakimi destroyed us. Look how shit hakan is! WE NEED A BETTER CAM!!!!!!!! WE NEED A BETTER RW!!!!!! WE NEED A FASTER CF!!!!! We also need to change formation. Like I said! This formation does not help this team unless you have fast wingers on BOTH sides of the field!

The 4-2-3-1 was good. But now since every one has figure it out like 10games ago. I dont understand how Pioli hasn’t come with a plan B yet. Switch to 4-3-3 or 4-4-2, dosnt matter just try something different that will suprice the oposition and wont make your game so predictable smh.

Exactly, even when we were winning the 4231 still limited our game play. And when bennacer got hurt, we continued to use it. Why not switch it up. We have the players to play a 433/442/352 and yet we keep half of them on the bench

You cant keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

The most shocking is never playing Leao and Rebic on the wings. They are our best wife men and both score goals

Exactly, pioli looks like a complete dumbass with his comments about why tomori isn’t a good option against lukaku. Only a simpleton would say that knowing lukaku only needs speed against this back line. Lukaku is stronger by a mile, faster by a mile and technically good. Him and Martinez thrive in a 2 forward system. Damn wish we got ragnick when we had the chance but this cheap team didn’t want to give him the money to get real players and we are paying off it with pioli the yes man

On a positive we still second and this might be a wake up call for pioli, for rest of season. Play tomori more, stop playing salad maker from start, tell hakan to forget massive pay rise or go, tonali not worth 30 plus million and play our quickest players at all times

I don’t think he would do that. Lot’s of areas need change. Theo’s defensive play. Bennacer replacement. Our right side. Roma’s form. Donna’s form. Our pressing (or lack of it). Our attacking plan (our lack of it). I guess the honeymoon is over

We are already seeing it. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if we replace Pioli with a top coach. Even Christophe Gaultier from Lille is a better option. I wasn’t never a fan of Pioli and I was surprised that we were improving under him but clearly he is a coach with limited ideas. Last year I was really hoping that Bernard Arnault would take over the club. Because they have big ideas and would bring in a top quality coach. Our January mercato was poor. You can bring 100000 defenders but if your team can’t produce anything, you invite pressure on the defense and they will crumble. Not bringing in a better rw, cam and faster younger cf, completely destroyed this team. Look at our fucking subs! No quality at all!

Exactly, I understand why we kept pioli bc of his results, but ragnick style of play is what modern successful teams do. You can’t win long term with the way this management works. Ragnick was gonna clear house and bring in real players. Instead we have 100 defenders and no one other than zlatan that can attack on a consistent basis. Yes we have players but the consistency part is the key and absolutely none of them have it but zlatan from that front 4. As for the back line, it’s time to play kalulu and tomori.

You are correct, even a lot of ppl on this thread kept sayin I was wrong and that we needed defenders first. The stupidity of this is incredible. Your first line defense is your offense and if they can’t help with pressure, then your back line gets hit and will fall. We needed a better cam, faster forward and a rw before we needed anything else plain and simple

This is the difference between a team in full momentum and form, and a team trying to find it’s groove back. In any case Inter have a better squad, and when all their key players are in this form they can punish any team in the world. A disappointing result to say the least, but at least some players are starting to get to their post lockdown form. Ultimately, we started the second half very well, although in hindsight we should have had Kessie fall back and let Tonali be the only one close to the box. Inter did well… Read more »

Great assessment! Ultimately our goal is 4th place. Anything above that is a luxury. The team played well overall imo. Just unlucky in a few moments. Papa Pioli has done great things with this squad, and I will not forget that. We’re just going through a rough patch and this shall pass!

Also, we still have 14 more or so serie A matches to play. Anything can happen and scudetto is still within reach.

Okay, the captain was terrible today.. I honestly think that for everyone’s sake, he must be allowed to leave. He had been good during our dark years, but he’s still not good enough for the current ambition. I don’t wanna blame him, because with his age he should have been learning from good mentors and developing himself. That didn’t happen, as it was him who was relied upon. I agree. I said Roman has plateaued and is actually regressing. A top player at his age would continue to improve. That injury has destroyed his progress for sure and Milan are just tryin to force him into form and it’s back firing. Since he came back he has cost us dearly with penalties, bad positioning, bad clearances etc. tomori, kalulu and gabbia have more upwards potential while also being faster. You cant teach a defender to be faster, but you can teach a fast player to be a better defender

Theo needs to play as a wingback, 3412 with tomori and kakulu in defence with kyaer. Calabria can play right wing bk wit zlatan and rebic/leao alternating up front. Hakan/diaz as a 10 with high line press.

It is about Pioli!! He doesn’t really have the answer after first defeat against Lillie. When we got beaten, we lost with at least 2 goals(against atalanta, juventus, spezia, and now inter) and we were hardly find the net. The same approach for each game.
I am always wondering his starter, how he can really have a lot of faith with some players(samu, krunic, roma).
I am hoping we could finish at least 4th place. But seeing the team performance in the last 3 matches, i am starting doubting it.

I think for the first goal, Romagnoli was way out of his position, but he was in the right position since Theo was left in front in a fast Inter buildup game. Let’s not blame him. He certainly didn’t think that he must tackle Lukaku when he half knew there were probably just one or two Inter player behind him and he probably thought that there were players who backed him. Too bad, Calabria who covered Romagnoli’s position was not aware of Lautaro’s position and Lukaku’s cross was an accurate one. Second goal was more of a half decent work… Read more »
