well mate, here’s why i said that: pioli is great man manager. many who have been involved with him have said that so it must be true. the problem is, he’s not really a tactician like conte or allegri, let alone capello. his milan are good in implementing his tactics and strategy, which is simple high pressing and counter attacks exploiting mistakes opponents make during transition between their attack and defence. its simple but it works because theo, rebic and leao are great on the flanks, hakan is good distributor and ibra is still good finisher. but the fact is,… Read more »

The better team won, and we were lucky that it was only by two. Worst performance by Milan in god knows how long … There’s no denying by now that the magic is starting to fade away, and with Inter and Rome ahead it can’t be at a worst time. This looks like the expected bad spell to counter the amazing year we had. Let’s hope we can manage to not lose too much ground. It’s now up to Hakan, Bennaser, and Rebic to get back to form and pick us back up again. That is the key. Zlatan will… Read more »

A while back while I was still at varsity, that time Milan was still at the top. One of my friends asked me “How come a player goes from Portsmouth to AC Milan starting 11? I ddnt have an answer I just knew what he was asking was something to note. I don’t remember who is the player exactly. All I’m trying to say is this, we can get a very few very goos players on a cheap deal but they won’t all turm out like Theo, Bennacer or Kessie. Bruh our right side of the field is ass especially when Calabria is out. He keeps the right side in check and without him it’s a struggle especially when going forward. Zlatan also is too slow and is like playing a man down in games like this where we have no momentum from the first kick off

Exactly, getting a rw would have completely transformed this team into a real threat. Instead we get mandzukic that can barely run. Imagine if we got thauvin/neres/Antony, a real cam and a faster you g cf like brobbey to learn from zlatan. This team would be set but nope, our defensive minded maldini has no clue when it comes to offense reinforcements

Dejan garbage is a big word. No1 is saying that pioli or the team is a complete garbage ( at least from the comments that i read) but the truth of the matter ia that we have been playing like crap for the last 10 games or so. When teams start to understand how to break you down a change in tactics during the game is needed and morale boost is needed. Pioli hasnt done that.

I’m one of those fans who are critising Pioli and our team. If you have been watching our games it’s not only now that we perform very bad, it has been about 7 or 8 games back. Pioli shouldn’t have rotated the team as he did, especially with new players. He should have find a way to maintain team spirit. You cannot buy a player from Torino and the very 1st game we play you play that player over players who have been here winning games.

Check my comment in our match against Crotone. Even though Zlatan and Rebic both 2 goals, I made it clear that their game play wasn’t cool but guess what? I got the most dislikes!!!! That didn’t bother me because I knew a more organized team would expose our weaknesses, little did I know it was little Spezia. Zlatan shouldn’t be a starter!!!!! He should be subbed in between matches. That dude is almost 40years ffs! Milan played better attacking football when Zlatan was out and we used Leao as CF. well, that was horrible performance by the whole team. spezia implemented high pressing and fast wingplay tactics and milan just couldnt handle it. milan could only resort to ancient long ball strategy because the defense and midfield just couldnt connect. the fact that ben and kjaer clearly werent fit yet didnt help. but alas, all players played horribly except maybe donna so clearly milan got outtacticed, and there’s no point in blaming certain players, especially considering milan have performed fairly well before tonite, as can clearly be seen in classifica. whats alarming is that, while even teams like bayern or… Read more »

Say or believe whatever y’all want but pioli lost us this game. Someone said earlier that we’ve been playing bad for a while now and that is 100% true. I hate how our midfield is always empty and every team dominates us in the midfield. Pioli’s starting lineup was horrible. Spezia always pressure teams and play a fast paced game so it makes me wonder if pioli actually analyzes the teams he’s playing against or he just selects a starting lineup based on players he likes. Kjaer, Çalhanoğlu and Bennacer have no business starting the game today. He should have… Read more »

It simple, this formation is not a formation that dominated the ball unless you have dynamic players. Leao could be the perfect lw but he’s lazy asf. We really needed rebic today. But other than that, hakan, zlatan, salemakers and samu are all too slow. I keep saying it, without speed, you can’t press high and recover, or perform counter attacks bc you can’t get up the field.

There is no connection between attack and mid when the AM is off. To bad that Pioli waited until 83-84 min to change him. Theo Hernandez should stop those runs fom the back. The problem is Theo is taking the chance to go forward bc leao has no chemistry with anyone for some reason still, and the team had zero momentum. But when he goes up then either kessie or bennacer cover, but bennacer got blow by like he wasn’t there. We should really consider a 352 variation as a plan B bc we only have plan A that is not a formation to dominate the game. It’s used to make sure we have proper coverage first. Totally agree. Lille and Atalanta use the same tactics Spezia used and this loss looked all to familiar. Pioli hasn’t learnt his lesson when playing against teams that are pressing high. The real sad part about this is that Ralf Rangnick had this particular playing style in mind called the gegenpressing. This is why Rangnick wanted players that were young, strong and athletic similar to the players you see at Lille and Atalanta. Either Pioli uses a 433 with Kessie, Bennacer and Meite in midfield and drop Calhanoglu in favor of Leao and Mandzukic supporting Ibra to counter this style… Read more »

this sounds like allegri’s last season with milan; bunch of uncreative dm playing together in 3 man mf like they’d turn into prime xaviesta. morontella, pioli AND rino have tried kessie as cm and meite failed big time as milan’s main source of creativity vs atalanta weeks ago.

TOTALLY agree with most fans who criticised Pioli on its tactical blunder he made yesterday. Most times, I don’t like criticising coaches. But yesterday defeat to Spezia caused an exception. Like some people said here he and his technical crew ought to have analysed the match against Lille and Atalanta and figure out a way round it instead he rigidly sticks on 4 2 3 1 even when it was so glaring against Spezia that the tactics wasn’t working. It’s very painful
If they should continue playing I bet u we wouldn’t have scored once goal because Spezia out played us

Rebic played RW for Croatia, its not like its foreign to him. I am so sick of seeing Alexis and Samu on the right. They contribute nothing. At all.
