naw, brahim didnt play badly. hauge and saladmaker did but not brahim. it was his through ball that set ibra through on goal which forced cagliari defender to foul him from behind. he also hustled all nite. he did all he could playing out of position as am. like i said, players like brahim and hauge always play with their heads down whenever they have the ball, eyes set on the ball and defenders in front of them, ready to take on the defenders. thats a characteristic of a winger. playmakers like riquelme or hakan always play with their heads… Read more »

Lukewarm first half with a dubious penalty imo. But nice that Zlatan could pocket it. Zlatan looks alive and rather dynamic. Kessie and Tonali are good, the latter especially, and Dalot also doing some nice work. Calabria is probably the best on the pitch. On the other hand, Hauge and Samu aren’t effective in the offense game.

We need something extra in the second half to finish this.

Castellijo is weak AF for a footballer. He has the body of a primavera player. I will be happy when he’s gone. Hauge looks like he is out of touch with his teammates. He’s making the wrong runs and taking too long on the ball. I don’t know but Hauge seems to be getting worst game in game. Extremely weird how his development is going. On the other hand Tonali and Brahim Diaz are showing improvement game by game. Romagnoli is so overrated. Donnarumma should be captain. Leao can’t play from the right position! He has already been tried there this season and he flopped badly. It is best to play Calabria in that position and have either kalulu or Dalot cover the RB position. Calabria distributes decent crosses and have also shown that he has the ability to dribble pass opponents. Above all, Calabria knows how to shoot shots from outside the box.

You would think he would have learned by now 🙁 Personally, I don’t rate him as a winger and I would rather Milan use him as a backup RB or loan him out. Wingers need to contribute to goals and assists not defending even that’s useful but not his primary goal.

Felipe Anderson and Thauvin press very well and offer a lot more offensively. They are both better than Saelemaekers and that’s not even up for debate.

We need more contribution to assist and goals playing with one striker.

yes hauge is a massive talent but he needs to adapt to tight defenses and tactical nature of serie a quickly. i dont think guardioli really asked him to cut inside and pass/shoot every single time just to keep possession. its just that he’s still nervous and unsure of himself playing against much better defenders than those he used to face back in norway. i say give him time, he’s earned it for how he performed in el group stage

LW is good. We have Rebic, Leao, Hauge and Mandzukic. I think Hauge is struggling to adapt tactically and I think that might be a language barrier but the talent is definitely there.

I think we should give him until next season. Hauge will come good eventually but the LW is solid especially with Theo.

We played badly attackingwise and possessionwise. Lost so many balls. I think the team started to feel the burden of the standing. This is the point that experienced and winning player like Ibra and Mandzukic play their role. Defensivewise we played a really good game, except that Romagnoli shouln’t have got himself that unnecessary yellow that banned him the next match, more so in Salaemaekers case, but let the kid learns his lessons.
