Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Theo have COVID and will miss the next games.

The news has been in the air for a few days now as Hakan missed training on Friday and Saturday, while Hernández was absent from group training on Friday.

Today, the club confirmed that the two stars, who are among the most important players in the squad of coach Stefano Pioli, have COVID-19:

“Milan announces that Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Theo Hernández tested positive for a molecular swab carried out yesterday to all the whole team, while all other test results were negative. The Club promptly informed the health authorities. The asymptomatic players remained in isolation at home. All the other team members will continue to be monitored closely according to the federal protocol.”

The Rossoneri now have 4 players unavailable with COVID as Rade Krunić and Ante Rebić also have it. Pioli has lost two more key men ahead of important matches against Cagliari and Atalanta.

I hope that these covid results are not manipulated to screw Milan. Expect anything in Italy.

I guess we should have our medical team to confirm cases.

Oh this covid drama could kill some dreams sadly. With juve losing to inter today, it seems like this season the schudetto will come to Milan. Just hope it will be to red corner not blue.

How does Inter have 0 Covid cases and we get our star players, not bench(I don’t consider Krunic to be AC Milan player all together so…), star players, on a 2 week vacation each week?

Beltter now early and mid way and then our star players will be available for end campaign than later on. I think inter will get it because covid is spreading fast.

inter had 9 players unavailable due to covid and injuries when they faced milan but conte and the boys kept their mouths shut and faced it like men. and now they just beat the defending champions and look even more like legit scudetto contenders.

I hope calha is still going to sign that contract but one think i dont understand is why we have to wait till last year to renew contracts with our player, i mean with calha was it because of his consistency but other players like donna? Why not renew roma, kessie, theo, benna??
