Alexis Saelemaekers and Theo Hernández should be called-up against Cagliari but the condition of Hakan Çalhanoğlu still needs to be understood.
Milan have been dealing with many absences in recent weeks due to COVID-19 and injuries, but players are now starting to come back and be available.
After Zlatan Ibrahimović last week, Saelemaekers appears to be the next starter who is ready to return to squad list.
The 21-year-old trained regularly with the group in training on Saturday and according to Milannews.it he should be able to be in the squad to face Cagliari on Monday evening. The same applies for Theo Hernández, who yesterday missed group training due to undisclosed reasons.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu, however, may be forced to sit out of the Cagliari game. For the second day in a row, the Turk did not take part in training with the rest of the group and his situation will need to be evaluated over the next few days. The #10 has been struggling with an ankle problem over the past days and according Torino in the Coppa Italia seemed to be carrying an injury.
Rafael Leão is also set to miss the Cagliari game through a suspension and so it will be up for Stefano Pioli to find the solutions in attack to beat the Sardinian club and take advantage of Inter-Juve.
Seriously, where is Bennacer? I thought his injury was mild. The dude has been out for over a month now.
he’s at the final stages of recovery, he should return before Atalanta game.
