This is stupid! Diaz is not a winger! He’s doesn’t have the speed to get up and down the field to help both sides! It’s the same as using hakan out left! To be an effective winger you need speed! I hope it works since we are playing samp but you will see we won’t have good counters. Jens scored and assisted so why is he benched?

Well time to watch Diaz falling down non stop or bounced like pin ball every time he has the ball for like 60 mins. Why not start Hauge instead?

Really hope Rebic will score today! Forza Milan!

This game is harder than it looks, with all the injuries that we have. Samdoria can score against any one on a good day, there deffence is bad tho. I hope today is not their day and Roma/Gabia partnership works well. Wont be supriced if the reff do some mistakes against us as usual as well.

What’s this bout hakan will go for nothing in summer if he decides to leave? I agree he’s not worth 6 m a season but that means we would have to sell him in January to get something and clubs know this so he would go cheap anyway! Man u triggered pogbas extention so they will get full price if he leaves, why didn’t we have that in his contact?

That’s why I said Milan would be truly a joke not to get szoboszlai. We can’t afford to lose hakan and not get Diaz bc Madrid are stingy. We have to get szoboszlai in Jan. We are playing with fire

simple logic really; if milan let him go in jan then he’d go cheaply and milan would need to find expensive replacement who could adapt quickly to serie a. szoboszlai is leipzig bound and i read today that zidane himself called him personally to convince him to join madrid. chances are slim that he’ll join milan. de paul wont come cheaply either. also, letting hakan go in jan would surely mess up milan’s chances to finish top 4. he’s milan’s main assistman after all, the numbers dont lie. im glad milan decide to keep hakan until the end of the… Read more »

This is Milan’s fault for not getting him earlier. Also Milan will be in the champions league next year and he’d be much better at Milan than a team like Madrid who’s declining very rapidly and def won’t be starting. He won’t be staring on Leipzig either. He will be staring off Milan right away bc we won’t have anyone else. Don’t forget Milan has maldini. He can give him a call as well.

the irony is that szoboszlai himself literally liked posts on socmed claiming he’s joining milan last “summer” mercato. milan should’ve bought him right then and there but sadly i think the ship has sailed now. he’s joining leipzig to play with another milan targets olmo and forsberg. surely milan has maldini but milan also has nazidis the party pooper. i dont think nazidis will provide enough transfer budget for milan to buy a cb AND am. hell, they couldn’t even get rudiger and bakayoko on dry loan. milan can follow frankfurt’s kamada and monchengladbach’s neuhaus as alternatives though. they’re very… Read more »

I agree, I too think Milan waited too long. As for transfer funds, he’s only 25 mil. Even if we sell hakan let’s say for 15 mil, that’s just 10 coming out of pocket. Plus he’s been horrible except for the few good games at the end of last year so it’s not like he would be missed. We had our ticket but we let the train pass ‍♂️

I just read Madrid want Diaz to replace Isco and now that hakan has said he won’t renew with Milan, we won’t have an attacking mid. We don’t have a choice but to get szoboszlai. He’s the best young talent at such a small 25 million price range, it would be ridiculous not to get him in January

Very bad game for Diaz, not just that he is loosing balls easy, he also gets in his teammates way. Bring Hauge in the second half. As for Rebic messing up chance after chance in the 16 Box, you can see he is not comftobale with beeing in the box. Maybe change the approach a bit instead of only high balls and croseses in the box, since Rebic is clearly not a CF.

Sampdoria has come to place defensive game and are only leaving few players to lay ambush for any error on our side to capitalize on, like what happened against Celtic when we conceded first goal. We missed a lot of chances. It would have been like 3 goals In our favour. Rebic would definitely rue that sitter ! In games like this where opponent has come to frustrate you with absurdly defensive tactics, you don’t miss chances at all.. Thank God for that penalty. You need to score goals to open the game up

Diaz should just be a sub, nothing more. Rebic cannot play CF – he’s more deadly in the wing position and he’s definitely out of form which you can see from his shooting and first touches.

In previous interviews, Tonali said that the coach wants verticale pases and thats why he dosent go for his long horizontal passes. So players passing back all the time instead of thru passes, is probobly Pioli tactic. I dont agree with it tho, we had a couple counters were we could have went with thru pass for gol, but we just stopped and passed back. It almost costed us at the end.

I agree completely. It has to be a pioli tactic. It also doesn’t help that rebic is soo out of form in front of goal. We also had Diaz and hakan on the field at the same time. I’ve already said they are the same type of player and it won’t work. Once hauge came in you could see the difference. You either playa hakan or Diaz with real wingers on either side.

l can understand playing horizontal passes to maintain possession and keep the tempo low but backpassing (which is actually a vertical pass but backward) at all times is straight up disgusting. i remember pep at bayern visibly getting very angry with vidal because he kept backpassing when he had his teammates up front in great positions to receive the ball.

No they simply just don’t need to play them both when we have players that naturally play the left wing. We both have diff options on hakan and that’s ok. I prefer Diaz but that’s just me personally. As for how we pass I agree. We do too many unnecessary back passes. We also need to be confident in passing to players in tight spaces. The problem is once we pass the ball the original player doesn’t continue his run or move in a good position to get the ball again. This is why Barca was sooo good. They would… Read more »

well, obviously playing players in their preferred position is the key. look at how well kessie and hakan perform once they play in their natural positions. rebic, leao and hauge, in that order, should be milan’s lw. however, sometimes coaches dont have that luxury due to injuries or illnesses. also, sometimes coaches want to play 2 or more playmakers in mf so they can impose their gameplay by dominating possession. capello did it so well in ucl final, and pioli did it too many times last july (vs lazio, juve, roma, napoli). its normal. whats not normal is playing slow,… Read more »

Diaz seems to weak for italian footbal, he gets bullied a lot. He is doing better of the bench tho when the others are tired. Not sure Milan should splash 25mil for him as Real wants. For the same money they can go for Szobozlay who will be needed anyway since Hakan is leaving. I would rather invest that money in him. Tonali did better tonight, Samu is also starting to find his form again slowly. As for Gabia i think he can compete with Romagnoli for the starting spot already.

I think our coach could try Hauge at attacking mid considering Hakan will be leaving. We already have Leo and Rebic on that side. We still need a proper right wing. Casti is in form his positioning was great. For some reason he does not dribble too well unlike Hague or Leao on the left. Rebic has great assist from the wing which is why he was not that good this game. Being played out of position.

Not sure why your thumbed down. You make a valid point. Hakan and Diaz( unless his loan is extended) will not be here. We need to see what we can do. That’s why I said use rebic and hauge on the left and right with either hakan or Diaz as the cam. Hell even maldini should play. Honesty it should be roback at cf, rebic and hauge left or right( they are 2 footed so either should be ok) maldini cam and kalulu rb. This makes sense.

If Krunic can play as holding midfielder last time around then why not Hauge or Díaz as right winger

Well deserved victory hard one I must confess 3point very needed to go up the summit but from the look of things the boys were playing without a game plan without structures I think Ibrahimović is our game plan without him on the peach there is no focus point no identity well a victory is a victory keep it up
