Milan is playing 4-4-1-1 on defense, Hakan is doing his job and even coming back further since we’re strugling to contain Napoli’s attempts. He’s also completing his passes and making himself available all the time. People need to stop picking on him. The problem today is Rebic, who looks a bit lost and misplaced some passes (been great helping on defense though, dude always works his ass off) and mainly Saelemaekers, who’s been a complete disaster everytime he touches the ball and doesn’t seem to know what to do off ball. Hoping to see Diaz or Hauge (or even Dalot)… Read more »

Sael definitely our weakest link so far, and roma not far behind so far in 1st half. Put diaz or hauge in place of sael. Also, our coach needs to somehow strengthen our midfield. Kessie and bennacer are getting overwhelmed when napoli attacks with speed, maybe beause rebic, cal, and sael need to help our defense more!!!. I dont know how because im not a coach but definitely something that needs to get aaddressed. maybe replace sael for krunic as dm. But then our attack wont be as good.

Maybe he didn’t produce enough attacking threats, but the reason why Calabria was able to contain Insigne is Saelemaekers’s defensive works.. His covering and positioning were really good today..

Yes, really. Calabria had a great defensive game of his own. Of course Saelemaekers helped, he’s supposed to. But look at the other flank, Theo is a worse defender than Calabria, but Rebic’s physicality and effort were truly amazing on the cover. Even in a game where he struggled offensively (especially in the first half), I’m not complaining about Rebic, because opposing players seem to fear him on both sides. No one is scared of Saelemaekers in either side. But listen, I don’t hate Alexis (I actually like him quite a bit as player – way more than Samu), and… Read more »

I really wish Milan get rid of Romagnoli and sign Lovato or Milinkovic. I would also like it if Milan replace calhanoglu with dominik szoboszlai.

Calhanoglu is NOT worth a 6m salary. we should sell him and Romagnoli including Castellijo and Conti.

Other than great win today against Napoli. Ibra continues to impress. Maybe we should get Balotelli as a backup since he’s a free agent even though I don’t like his attitude. Maybe Pioli can get the best out of him.

Romagnoli wors player by far. Literetly every Napoli player beat him in 1on1. No speed, no urgency, no blocking nothing. Italian or not we need something better. It feels like Kjaer is playing by him self. Yet Romagnoli is one of those players who want a huge pay rise.

Daniel

I believe Romagnoli is not yet completely recovered and fit. We all know he is better than how he’s been playing. He is a really good CB. And Napoli’s goal was firstly either Kessié’s fault or the ref’s (and I think it was the latter, Kessié was fouled by Baka). After that the defense was scrambling to reorganize, I wouldn’t blame anyone.

Rossi

He is fit, he didnt had some really long injury. But even before that he lacked speed we all know that. However we hoped that he will keep improving in other areas like positioning and in the air, cause he was still young. Now at 25 not just that he hasnt improved it seems like he is regresing. Yes he is a good player, but since Milan is aiming a beat higher now than a few seasons back, i can understand the fans wanting something more than just good. With that kind of defending we will be emberaced in CL.

Yes he didnt make an impact but he had speed, strength and decent touch on the ball. Never seen him play before. Sael dorsnt deserve a starting tole anymore in my opinion. Milan need to sell hakan and get szoboszlai. He’s already better at the lvl or better than hakan. Milan can’t take a chance and waist not getting him and then losing hakan at the same time especially when Diaz is also not likely to join since Madrid don’t want to sell him.

I guess you haven’t watched the second goal then. That trough ball to Rebic with zero space, no angle at all, and perfectly weighted is why he’s so valuable. Some players’ numbers simply don’t reflect their true value.

I’m sometimes shocked at some takes I see from people here… The constant picking on Çalhanuglu might be the worse. Only when he’s having Messi-like numbers, like at the end of last season, you guys get off his back. He will have some stretches like that, but try to look beyond the numbers, and actually watch him play.

All players did their part today; however, what a performance from Kessie and Bennacer. Amazing duet. Kessie played his heart out literally until he dropped.
the right wing position needs an upgrade. Saelemaekers is a good sub, not a starter in my opinion. a new starter is a must in January. Samu, on the other hand, has served Milan, his time is done and he will never add anything to the team. I hope he is sold in January

Milan already offered Thauvian 3mil per season per reports. I think he is a must cause at the moment i cant think of another RW that is on his level that we can afford. It is a golden opportunity for us that his contract is running out, and we must not miss that opportunity. Milan is looking at Juve Bernandeski as an alternative as well. But he is not a big upgrade from what we already got, plus he will cost way more. Juve paid 50mil for him so they wont let him go for cheap for sure.

Milan’s form is impressive, it’s amazing what Maldini did to this team. Zlatan, Rebic, Calhanoglu,Theo, Bennacer and Kessie’s contribution is unquantifiable.

Muscle injuries are always a worrying for players over 30. It would be wise that Maldini hires a strong tall experienced player just in the case Ibra gets injured. Rebic, Leao and Colombo cannot fulfill his boots. I would go for Giroud even though I want Haaland.

Scamacca is an interesting young striker, quietly impressing at genoa with his recent performances. He fits what elliot are looking for – young, not so expensive and with potential to improve further. If milan can sign him in january, he will have the chance to work with ibrahimovic and can be groomed as ibra’s eventual natural replacement.

Calhanoglu seems determined to get 7m per season. It’s not bad at all considering his current form. However, he has been insanely inconsistent, and he, without Rebic and Ibra is another Poli/Bertolacci,Nocerino. It’s a tough decision to make, certainly I would hate to see him playing for Inter or Juve. No one is bigger than Milan, I think that Maldini should talk with the player and offer him the same wage with bonuses. A million if he reaches over 10 assist, and another million if he scores 10 goals. If he rejects then he is an idiot who doesn’t know… Read more »

Calhanoglu is not with anywhere near what his agent is asking for. I strongly believe Calhanoglu and Romagnoli should be sold. Milan must know when to move players out and it’s time for them to be offloaded. If you want a world class salary you have to be world class most of the games and not just for a few months. Calhanoglu form is hot and cold. dominik szoboszlai is a far better investment than renewing Calhanoglu at a unreasonably high and unjust salary. Hauge can also play as an AM. Agree. Calhanoglu’s agent his clearly on the verge of destroying his career. The man is inconsistent, he won’t find a teammate so hardworking like Rebic and such a strong attacker as Ibra. Those two drags 6 defenders giving him all the time and space to create. I don’t like Romagnoli either, but he is a starter for the N.T. he is relatively young for the job. If Maldini is fine with him me too. Let’s not forget that Rino had an amazing run with Romagnoli and Mussacio, the partnership with Kjaer is even better. Szobozlai is good but I’m not… Read more »

Selling romagnoli cant currently be anything but bad buissness because a fee exceeding the 25 mil we paid roma we will have to pay the romans a third of so if we sell him for 40 mil we will only get 35 of. To that i can only say good luck finding a player with the same qualities and experience at that fee, Fact is romagonli is a pretty great defender but unfortunately currently in a slump. The management have said they won’t sell Hakan in January but rather they will allow his contract to run out because of tactical reason. I think to some extent they make sense. if because of small token we will make by selling him and we don’t attain top 4 seeking him in January, it will hit us bad. He has been one of the main part of our team and changing him suddenly may affect us.its delicate to suddenly change the structure of a team .However, i implore management to get Thauvin and Soboscilai in January.
