Stefano Pioli has tested positive for Coronavirus and as a result today’s training session has been cancelled.
The Coronavirus is still very much here and even though a vaccine might soon be here, people are still catching the virus.
Today (Saturday) the club announced that coach Stefano Pioli has COVID:
“Milan announces that Pioli has tested positive following a quick test carried out this morning. The health authorities have been informed, and the Coach, who is currently showing no symptoms, has gone into quarantine at home,” a statement reads.
“All other tests carried out by the squad and staff came back negative. As a result, today’s training session has been cancelled. Training ahead of the match with Napoli will resume on Monday, subject to the checks set out in the federal protocol.”
Pioli is not the first from the squad to have tested positive. Previously, Sandro Tonali, Léo Duarte, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jens Petter Hauge and Matteo Gabbia all tested positive.
get well soon don stefano
I really really want the clubs to oppose the international matches.
It is risky enough to play the league, with the international matches it will be even riskier
Best recovery Stefano Pioli .
Good thing his assistant is a spitting image of him so it shouldn’t bother the players so much. Anyway, wish you speedy recovery mister
Get well soon, Coach.
Thinking about Calhanoglu’s situation. How about a swap deal with Inter for Eriksen?
Meanwhile, I believe getting Szoboszlai is a must whether Calhanoglu renews or not.
Ericsson is hot trash. Have you seen how he is performing for inter
No your opinion is pretty much trash and if you cant even spell his name correctly how the hell can you expect anyone to give a damn about your view, His name is not Ericsson but eriksen and if you had been correct he would most likely have been a swedish player instead of his actual birthplace, denmark. Problem with him in inter is not that he is a bad player but a player that clearly doesnt fit the system and highly likely was brought in without the acceptance from the coach. He would fit like a glove in ac… Read more »
Hakan good form made a lot of teams too notice him. Rumors has it that Barca is interested in him now as well despite United. 5mil per season wont be a problem for them for sure. Eriksen is ok but old and slow. As for Szobozlai he is already better then both of them from what i have seen.To bad we didnt got him in the summer, it will be hard now cause we were so close to get him in the summer and we backed away in the end, even his father was tweeting pic of Milan. He might… Read more »
oh well, all good. We move. Forza Milan
“…even though a vaccine might soon be here…” Pfizer had a vaccine ready back in October but didn’t want to release it in case it boosted Trump’s turnout at the election.
It is inevitable for pioli not to go on quarantine, get well soon our great coach, calhanoglu should be given a new contract, he is vital for us now because he’s special techniques, such as shot accuracy, dead ball specialist play well in free roll, I love how he plays ,more so I’m happy for the points won in 7 games even though both Roma and Verona game still hurts because both are winnable ,hope to beat napoli, forza Milan, Italy, Nigeria
Great comment from a huge rossoneri fan in Nigeria, love you
I disapprove to renew Hakan if he demand high wage. Remember team is above individual
Well sure if you believe in conspiracy theories that might be correct but i strongly doubt it. Vaccines are generally tested for years before landing on the market so if anything its currently rushed and not held back.
quick recovery pls stefano, nd we hope to beat napoli 3:1
Interesting to see Bakayoko will protect Napoli’s defense against us
Bakayoko is no match for Kessie and Bennacer. His distribution is poor and he’s not good at dribbling or passing. I’m not worried about him.
If Milan midfield put him under pressure he will turnover the ball cheaply.
Report just have it that Pioli assistant has just been confirmed corona virus positive. Bonera will lead MIlan to Napoli . Just hope the guys will not allow this contretemps to affect them
I’ve heard rumors that actually, Ibra sometimes has more voice than Pioli. Milan will do fine. Rebic is back and he is the one who gives Hakan all the time to shine. Rino knows this team and could exploit our weak CB with fast counter attacks, but I think there is not a chance that Napoli can win.
Guys, pretty sure as it isnt a ban from the bench due to a red card then pioli will be in constant contact with bonera about the starting eleven and substitutions. Had it been a red card to the coach he wouldnt be allowed to communicate in the match but i see no reason why pioli wouldnt be alowed to communicate on phone durring the napoli match. Edit:misread your comment raven as ibra should be the coach which would be rather riddiculous in my view. Anyways feel confident that pioli will handle it fine from his couch communicating with bonera.… Read more »
Look at Ibra, he shouts and gives more orders than Pioli, rumors’ affirms that even in training he is like a coach on the field. Players talk more about him than Pioli and he was more influential than Pioli.
The coach is the coach, but big players like Zlatan have a voice in the decisions. If he doesn’t want to play with X player that player will be benched.
well as i said i first misread your comment and therefore removed some of what i had previously written. Sure ibra is deciscive and ive never said otherwise but he surely doesnt pick the squad and even suggesting that is beyond preposterous as im sure guys like pioli and maldini would debunk such thesis’es any time and any day. What i had read your first comment as was that he should be our playing coach on sunday which i had seen someone else saying on social media elsewhere as well which frankly would be idiotic as it isnt his job… Read more »
If Chalhanoglu is on the way out (well, even if he stays), Milan should try to get Luis Alberto from Lazio. The man is not on good terms with the club any more.
this blog is not updated
I think we should continue the updates & discussion from whatever last post that’s made here….
Obviously, whoever that’s running this blog isn’t very serious.
Roma is seriously becoming a force to reckon with in the title race and Top 4..Just within half time they have dealt 3 :0 blow to Parma !
