Diogo Dalot spoke to Sky Italia and stated that ‘Pioli is our Captain’ that he doesn’t think about the fact that he’s only here for a year.

Dalot had his breakthrough match for Milan on Thursday as he provided an excellent assist and scored a great goal to help the Rossoneri beat Sparta Prague 3-0 in the Europa League Group Stage.

Diogo, 21, who joined the club from Manchester United on a one-year loan deal, spoke to Sky Italia on Friday night:

Against Sparta Prague arrived your first career goal both for Milan and in the Europa League…
“I am a happy man. We had a great performance and we found the win. Then, from a personal perspective, I scored a goal and provided an assist. I’m satisfied at the highest level.”

At what point are you in the physical condition?
“I am working hard, I am looking for the way back to the top and I feel like I’m improving. But above all I feel like I’m in the right place: I immediately felt great here at Milan.”

What kind of coach is Pioli?
“He’s more than a leader on the bench. Pioli is our Captain. He has a fantastic way of leading the team and motivating every single player. He makes us all hungry because he involves us all, each of us feels we have an opportunity with him.”

You loan at Milan expires in June 2021…
“Let’s see what happens at the end of the season. For now I don’t want to think about that: I am 100% focused on Milan and that’s it.”

Where can this Milan team arrive?
“The team is fantastic: the numbers speak for themselves. So far we have found good results, there is a good atmosphere when we train and a good team spirit. We don’t set limits, we have everything we need to continue to grow.”
