Rebić to be called-up for the match against Udinese on Sunday, the Croatian striker has returned to group training

Ante Rebić has recovered from his injury and he’ll be back on Sunday to face Udinese at the Friuli.

The season of Rebić has not yet really begun yet: he was suspended for all of Milan’s preliminary Europa League matches and got injured on Matchday 2 in Serie A against Crotone.

However, the return of Ante is very close. In fact, as reported by Sky Italia, today (Friday) the Croatian trained normally with the group at Milanello.

Therefore, the player will be called-up for the match against Udinese on Sunday at Friuli (12:30 CET). It’s unlikely of course that he will start given that he’s been out for a while and that the attack of Alexis Saelemaekers, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Rafael Leão and Zlatan Ibrahimović has been doing well.

The return of Rebić is important for coach Stefano Pioli as Ante established himself as a key player last season, finishing the campaign as the Top Scorer of the Rossoneri with 12 goals.

Very correct, leao has a way of running weak defenders with his skills and doing damage to tired defenders.. I’m just glad ante is back, we are stronger now than before…

Btw why should Leao bend over for Rebic now that Leao is in form? Rebic must earn his place like last season. OBVIOUSLY. Why do you think Leao is held in the highest regards in portugal and Milan? His coachies in Sporting academy and the national team said that there haven’t been a better player since CR. They say Leao was actually technically better than CR as a… Read more »
