Not the end of the world my milan fans. Takeaways: 1. Cal should have only played half od the match. 2. Goalkeeper was aweful. 3. Defense should have done better, our captain needs some more time to be 100% again after that long injury 4. Ref was just disgusting, so was var. 5. Theo needs a break. 6. I also see some tired legs out there from congested schedule. Pioli you have the depth now please use it. You have diaz, dalot, tonali please use them and give our starters a break so games like these they will be 100%.… Read more »

That pretty much sums it up. Agree on everything – except maybe with the first one. Hakan understandably didn’t play his best, but he’s a player that can create chances out of nothing (even in a bad day, and coming back from an injury), like the two perfect cornerkicks in the final minutes of the game, that should’ve gone in.
Props to the team anyway, we’re looking fine. Let’s keep playing with confidence, this is AC Milan’s comeback season, baby!

We should not panic for our shape which is great. We should panic for the Refs starting to pick on us, happens every time we start to perform in this league. After all Gatusso didnt made it in to the CL cause of Refs, only 1 point was needed and they robed him like 7points with decisions like this.

Ref was a disaster, but we could’ve won in spite of him if Tatarusanu doesn’t go out “hunting butterflies” (as we say in Brazil) or Mirante doesn’t perform a miracle or Romagnoli’s header goes 4 inches in… but I digress. What I’m saying is the refs can only do so much to stop us. We controlled game and it was ours to lose, but we got a bit unlucky tonight and some players looked unfit and/or tired. Also, Tatarusanu

I understand what are you saying, but unless we are on Bayern lvl scoring 5 goals per game, the Refs can definetly stop us or hurt us when they want. After all this is Italy they can do much worse than this. Dont forget how we lost the title with Juventus not recognizing Muntari clear goal.

I totally agree that many starters were tired after playing so many games at high level. It’s clearly with Theo. Calhanoglu was not 100% fit. Roma was not good but Milan was not at usual best. I wished Pioli had replaced Theo with Dalot or Kalulu, Saelemaekers with Krunic, and Calhanoglu with Diaz at some time during the game. Our young Alessandro Plizzari could play much better than Tatarusanu. The Romanian looks like a spiritless walking person. Castillejo is so thin and weak that he would fall at every duel contact. We should let him go.

i cant believe im saying this but this time thank god for int’l break because it’ll give donna that precious weeks to recover. tata vs napoli’s firepower would be a bloodbath. also, i wanna see nazidis’ face during mf battle between bennassie and baka. krunic as lw tonite when milan could’ve brought back baka smh

i wanna see nazidis’ face during mf battle between bennassie and baka“. Did I get this right? You think Bakayoko is better than Bennacer? It’s an honest question. I hope I just didn’t really understood what you meant, or else I don’t even know what to say… Sure, would’ve been great if we would’ve brought back Baka, he would be a great player to rotate with both Kessié and Bennacer, but the real starting duo are those two, the much superior players.

It’s not about who’s better, it’s about not conceding players to your rivals.

By the way Bakayoko may be at par with Bennacer.

Oh, okay then! That makes sense. Sorry for misunderstanding, I totally agree it’s not ideal that Baka is playing for a rival now.

On Bakayoko’s level compared to Bannacer, I guess let’s agree to disagree?

when did i ever say baka is better than ben? theyre not even same type of players. if u wanna compare baka with milan players, compare him with kessie, the only dm milan have. and thats exactly my point, milan should’ve gotten baka back to be kessie’s deputy. didnt u get nervous when kessie fell down unprovoked inside milan box tonite? who’s gonna replace him if he’s injured? tonali? or pioli’s golden boy krunic? its very stupid of milan to take krunic with them to ireland to face shamrock. that german club would’ve bought him right then and there and… Read more »

Overall good result especially considering the poor referring and Tatarusanu’s performance. Rome are a tough side, and to be fair it seems that our tight schedule is starting to affect our energy levels and overall performance. For me, our midfield 3 played below their usual top notch standard. Kessie and Bennaser were not as dominant as usual, and Hakan wasn’t contributing as much. Our back 4 had a solid performance, with Calabria looking really good and confident, and Kajer his usual dominant self. Up front Leao and Zlatan were obviously great too, and salesmaker put in his usual dynamic performance.… Read more »

In my opinion, if we don’t have depth in chasing top 4 and Europa league simultaneously, then we better concentrate on top 4. There is no point trying to pursue two aims and at the end we lose both. if we can’t get two to three top players in January, then its better we keep our best 11 players intact for Serie A matches and let us not get distracted by Europa league .

Milan played better than Roma but were penalized by three set pieces. Unlucky tonight.

Our only bad luck was that Covid took out Donnarumma and our backup keeper Tarantula is the worst I’ve seen in top flight football.

Milan should get rid of him in January and invest in a quality backup goalie. We conceded ONE goal in 4 games with Donnarumma and with this donkey we conceded 3 goals in one game.

He’s a complete idiot and Milan paid the price for being CHEAP. We should have kept Begovic or recall Plizzari.

what the hell with this ref, and VAR? At least 2 handballs not called, not even thinking of checking… non-existent penalty, WTF

Our new goalkeeper was the core of the result but lets not attack him or write him off. It’s his first game in a long time and he was probably stressed.

We played better. We played and entertaining football. The incidents will not always be in our favor but the fact that we could have scored 4 more goals if we had more luck, shows we are on the right track

Muratx i agree it was pretty clear from his expression on his face even before they scored their first goal that his nerves was shreded from the get go and unfortunately it didnt get much better even though i did count one great save later on he still looked shaky throughout the match. Personally i dont know much about what our new second goalies level of quality is but im atleast also willing to see how he fares the next match but obviously there isnt much room for lacklustre perfomances like he showcased yesterday. I think a draw on paper… Read more »

“i simply cant remember seing before is how roma dealt with one of our free kicks laying a player on the ground behind the wall.”
many teams have done it on regular basis since latter half of last season mate, especially in el and ucl matches. the last time i saw it was during bundesliga match couple of weeks ago

Someone said “Our defenders are very good in the air”. Romagnoli was beaten by Dzeko

Romagnoli is not really really good in the air and not really really good in doing “the dirty job” to face a striker like Lukaku. He is in between.

dzeko is 1.93 cm. romag also was unlucky not to score winning goal with a HEADER in injury time.

Pioli-‘I am satisfied with the performance , let’s not look at the table’
While I agree the later part but I fear and feel our defence was lacklustre especially romagnoli. Theo was in a different world (I agree are coming from injuries) but it is exposing big time and Pioli has to ramp up in this section.
Just my thoughts 🙂

Well on the bright note
This is how good Milan have become
When a draw against Roma isn’t satisfying enough
The expectations are high for this team
A couple years ago heck even a year ago fans would still be ok with a draw against Roma

correctamundo mate. i can accept that u cant always win, unfavourable results might happen from time to time. what i cant and shouldnt accept is the unwillingness to give ur best/100%. offloading useful players like baka, bonad10nho, paqueta (lyon are winning left and right with him), reina, laxalt because they earn too much and/or too old according to milan so called standard while bringing in 34 yr old tata is not giving ur best. the fact that milan target kumbulla scored equalizer doesnt help either. playing visibly tired theo, hakan, kessie for full 90’ because u had no proper back… Read more »

It’s true. Considering how tight the schedules are, Milan don’t have proper back up for Kessie, Theo and Kjaer.
Seriously right now i am more worried if we lose Kjaer to injury or suspension

everyone, even tuttosport, blame the ref and rightly so but why dont people blame that barca acting academy graduate pedro? that guy touched ben’s foot and then dropped down xavi style like he’s been shot

There’s reporting that the referee and the VAR official have been suspended for 2 games. The officiating was disastrous.
