In the training session on the eve of the game, Coach Stefano Pioli has however received some excellent news.
As reported by Sky Italia, Çalhanoğlu, who was supposed to miss three games through an ankle injury, has in fact recovered and is 100% and fit to start. In fact, Sky tips the Turkish to start against Roma alongside Alexis Saelemaekers and Rafael Leão behind Zlatan Ibrahimović.
Hakan, therefore, only missed one game through injury, recovering much quicker than expected. Another return is on the cards for Thursday as Sky claims that Rebić could return against Sparta Prague. The Croatian didn’t take part in today’s training session but he’ll have a decisive test tomorrow to see if he can be called up for the match in the Europa League Group Stage.
