I know many wont agree, but I think Calhanoglu is a better PK kicker than Ibra, who mostly shot it to the right side of the keeper. His penaly kicks that were saved were directed that way.

Conte being a great coach knows very well that our weakest link is Theo’s position and Kjaer’s lack of speed against Lautaro and that’s why they’re trying to exploit it and it’s working. Smh. Theo needs to wake up.

I just want to say that we shouldn’t sit back on this lead. Inter strenght is in their attack, it will be a big mistake if we close down in the second half. We should continue with our attacking game, im sure we will score again. Fiorentina made the mistake of trying to defend theire lead with closing down and they got destroyed by Inter, lets not make that mistake.

Lmfao krunic did it stop hakimi!!! Are you sure you watched the game? Theo stopped hakimi and lukaku! We have hauge and Diaz. Hauge is faster and he tracks back to, has more skills and can shoot! But you think krunic was the best choice, and then he plays in atm with hakan outside left! We have Diaz for atm. Idgaf what you say, if inter scored and tied the game, we would have krunic to blame for missing 6ft from goal bc he’s not an attacking player!

Bro you are wrong, the moment krunic came milan chances of scoring reduce, and we where under pressure, we are just lucky that inter where missing and the penalty was a offside instead, krunic didn’t help much both in attack and defend next time it might cause us, and then people will realise.
Happy victory by the way

Grey don’t understand this logic. Imagine we put in jens or Diaz and let them have the same chance krunic had. The chances of a goal are much higher. Instead of being 2-1. It could be 3-1 or 3-2 if inter had more luck. These subs can be costly, thankfully it wasn’t today

Its highly speculative because running patterns propably would have been somewhat different compared to krunic so arguing that hauge would have been more lethal doesnt necessarily hold up and besides of that as someone else allready said somewhere in this thread krunic wasnt subbed in on the left wing but hakan was actually moved out there while krunic ended up in the middle and fortifying the middle further. In the end the choices the coach makes can come down to varrious reasons for example he might currently have greater confidence in krunic actually following through on his instructions in a… Read more »

I get what your saying I really do. But you can’t really sit there and tell me when krunic came on he provided a defensive or offensive spark! He offered zero! He has no ball retention, doesn’t have an eye for good passes. Ex: samu was wide open on the right and he goes left. He’s not quick/fast and can’t dribble. most of you are attacking pioli fo his subs but his subs stopped inter to use our weaknesses against us. Theo is an attacking left back and he was in constant pressure by inter right midfiler (hakimi). that’s one of the strong points of 3-5-2. so pioli who actually tested Krunic in that position few times in pre season, used him to reduce the pressure on Theo and Kessie. Pioli subs are reaction subs. something thet coaches like Rafa & Conte himself are actually master of it.

Great result and spirit by the boys! Super important win against a Inter who showed up at full force (minus two CBs to be fair) for the derby. Our back four got outplayed throughout numerous encounters with Lukaku and Martinez, and Hakimi and Persic got the best of our wing backs more often than not. But an early exploitation of Inter’s makeshift defensive three by Zlatan, followed by a standout performance from Hakan, Benasser, and Kessie who at the very least matched Inter’s midfield, were enough for the three points. This was by no means Milan dominating Inter or even… Read more »

I see your point but I am not sure if I agree. You can say that Inter put a lot of pressure in the wings (I still wouldn’t call it outperforming) but Milan certainly dominated the midfield (when you manage to bully Vidal, you earn the right to claim “dominance”).
And yes our CBs suffered. But overall it is not fair to say that Inter outperformed Milan. It was more balanced.

Man, that routine where Inter would pass the ball to Lukaku with his back to goal, either for a double-pass or for him to spin on his defender, worked countlessly many times last night. Romag could simply not contain Lukaku (and to a lesser extent also Martinez), and Kajaer while doing a better job was still not able to stop this. I think our midfield did a great job, but in all fairness Inter looked dangerous in almost every minute that they had the ball, and they missed a few comfortable sitters (Hakimi heading from 2 meters outside comes to… Read more »

I agree for sure. There is no doubt that the performance ballance was more on Inter’s side. Let’s be honest, they are very strong and complete team. Their project is at least 2 years older than ours.
But Milan actually managed to show that they are closing the gap. Inter put a lot of high quality pressure and Milan suffered but didn’t lose control for the majority of the game.

Both Hauge and Diaz are more attack oriented players. Krunic is a natural mid, so he knows what to do tackle/cover at the back etc, he has done defensive work before, unlike Hauge who is a typical winger. Yea i agree for the missed chance he should have done better.

He wasn’t, Hakan was at the wing towards the end. Hakan can be a good hardworking wingback, even though he’s way better (world class, I’d say) offensively at CAM. After the substitutions we were playing a 4-5-1 formation, with Bennacer as the holding midfielder and Krunic and Tonali as cms, plus two wingbacks in Hakan and Samu.
I get that we have better players than Samu and Krunic in our bench, but those subs were smart, imo, with what the game was looking like.

Very hard fought victory but nevertheless still a victory but way too nervewrecking for my taste when we was infront with 2 goals and still ending up on the brink of disaster for a large duration of the march. Imagine if we had drawn or even worse but not really farfetched lost the game. Had this happened it could have caused huge psychological problems as the players had the same lead when we met last season and still ended up losing 4-2. Anyways great win and hopefully we can keep this wining streak of ours going for some additional time.
