Alessio Romagnoli is off the injury list as he’s finally fit again and will get ready for the Derby della Madonnina.
Romagnoli has not played any matches this season as he’s been injured, but the return of the Diavolo Captain to the heart of the Milan defense is close.
While Simon Kjær and Matteo Gabbia managed just fine without Alessio in the first 6 matches of the season, managing to help Gigio Donnarumma get a clean sheet in all three Serie A matches, the return of Romagnoli would be an important boost for Stefano Pioli.
As reported by Milannews.it, tomorrow the team will get back to training after a short break, and start preparing for the Derby della Madonnina on October 17. Romagnoli, in fact, will take part in training with the rest of the group who’s not away on international duty, as he’s fully recovered.
The 25-year-old has been out for a few months with a calf injury but it’s not behind him. Pioli will hope to get more good news later this as the situation of Ante Rebić should become clearer.
