Romagnoli to resume group training tomorrow, the Milan captain has fully recovered from his injury

Alessio Romagnoli is off the injury list as he’s finally fit again and will get ready for the Derby della Madonnina.

Romagnoli has not played any matches this season as he’s been injured, but the return of the Diavolo Captain to the heart of the Milan defense is close.

While Simon Kjær and Matteo Gabbia managed just fine without Alessio in the first 6 matches of the season, managing to help Gigio Donnarumma get a clean sheet in all three Serie A matches, the return of Romagnoli would be an important boost for Stefano Pioli.

As reported by Milannews.it, tomorrow the team will get back to training after a short break, and start preparing for the Derby della Madonnina on October 17. Romagnoli, in fact, will take part in training with the rest of the group who’s not away on international duty, as he’s fully recovered.

The 25-year-old has been out for a few months with a calf injury but it’s not behind him. Pioli will hope to get more good news later this as the situation of Ante Rebić should become clearer.

Kjaer and Gabbia should start against Inter. Romag is fully fit now but he needs some game rythm before being thrown into a big game like Inter. But happy El Capitano is back!

Beware mate, Gattuso will tackle you if you call anyone other than Maldini El Capitano!
If we win against shinter merda we will get massive confidence boost!
The only worry is running out of the energy after midseason if everyone has to play every 3 days.

bastoni and skriniar have covid so most probably they wont play vs milan. i hope they get well soon but as far as derby della madonnina is concerned, thats a VERY good news for milan. regarding romag, im glad that he’s near ready, as predicted. with duarte also recovering from covid very soon, milan will soon have 4 cb, like i said. enough until next mercato. 0 goals conceded in 3 serie a matches, 4 goals conceded in 6 matches and the uninitiated still cry about cb, not dm. smh. i hope pioli wont overplay romag again like he did… Read more »

i watched inter’s first 3 serie a games and to be perfectly honest their defense didnt look solid at all even with skriniar, and handanovic’s passing is so bad. hakan – ibra axis will expose them. lautaro/alexis and their wingbacks look so deadly though. i always said “get conte”, “get hakimi”, hell even “get darmian” and now inter have all 3, goddammit. like i said, milan’s fb need to prevent inter’s wingbacks from crossing the ball because once its in the box it’ll be very hard to defend. lastly, watching italy – moldova yesterday, i couldnt help but thinking, “damn,… Read more »

Kjaer and Gabbia should continue against Inter, they have a good record since the start. Let captain recover in peace, we have a busy season ahead and we’ll need each and everyone of them to their fullest.

The captain will return against Inter and we will concede our first goal. Forgive me but i am been realistic. You don’t expect Lukaku to be free with Donna and not score. He’s not like the strikers of Bologna, Spezia and Crotone
