Reports: Milan are interested in Bodø/Glimt’s Hauge, the club would like to close the deal within 48 hours

Jens Petter Hauge impressed Milan on Thursday at San Siro so much that they now intend to buy him, and are apparently ready to make an offer.

Milan beat Bodø/Glimt 3-2 on Thursday night with an impressive performance from Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who scored two great goals and made a back-heel assist.

However, the Turkish of Milan was not the only one who danced on the pitch: Jens Petter Hauge of the Norwegian side was just as impressive on the other side of the pitch, terrorizing the defense of Milan all night, getting a goal and an assist.

Immediately after the game rumours started to circulate that the heads of the technical side at Milan, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, were so impressed by Hauge that they contacted his agent to start talks to bring the 20-year-old winger (primarily on the left) to Milanello.

Gianluca Di Marzio on Sky Italia confirmed the rumours last night, claiming that there was ‘love at first sight’ on Thursday between Milan and Hauge. Di Marzio claims that there is a lot of competition for the player, who in 17 matches this season scored 14 goals and assisted 9 more. The Diavolo are accelerating and there is hope that they’ll be able to conclude the deal within 48 hours.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that the offer of Milan is going to be €4 million plus bonuses. “I don’t want to comment on specific clubs, but we know that they have a thing for Jens Petter,” Hauge’s agent Atta Aneke told VG. “There has been a lot of interest also before the match. There have been clubs that have shown concrete interest. After the match, several clubs but clubs that were interested before have intensified their interest to reach an agreement. The interest has skyrocketed.”

Hauge himself commented on the interest of Milan yesterday: “It is not something I focus on or have been particularly updated on. It is of course a club I would like to play for. It is one of the biggest clubs in the world, something I got a taste of on Thursday considering both the city and the stadium.

“The praise of Pioli? It’s very fun. It’s nice to be noticed and fun that they appreciate the qualities I have. I definitely take that with me further and use it as motivation to get even better, Hauge answers about the praise from the Milan coach. If it’s the right step to take? Yes, I do. As long as the system fits and the coach has faith in me, such a step is affordable.”

It remains to be seen what will happen and even if the Rossoneri manage to agree a deal, it’d be interesting to see if Hauge would arrive immediately or kept on loan at Bodø/Glimt until January.

Good one if we can get Nordin mukiele of rb Leipzig who is rumored to be worth 20 million we should be okay instead of wasting time on chiesa and milenkovic

Mukiele is RB, we need CB. Milenkovic is a problem and we should wait for the later stages of transfer market, but Rudiger is a better option imo. He can play RB as well, has Serie A experience and as Chelsea want to get rid of him we might be able to sign him for loan with the option of 30M or so. The deal might even help us with Bakayoko deal.

Mukiele is a good option and played as a cb in Leipzig’s 3 man defence and to me much more stronger than milenkovic

As for rudiger injury and age is gradually catching up with him he is gradually passing his prime that 30million is unreasonable mukiele is cheaper and much more a beast

has played CB doesn’t mean he is. 3 man defense different from 2 man. Pirlo made Danilo play RCB, but it doesn’t mean that he now can play CB, plus the guy has wonderful pace, would be a waste to put him solely to defend.

It would be nice to have him at Milan. He really impressed me alot against Milan. I hope Maldini and co would be able to bring him to Milan.
Forza Milan.

Get him and Ajer as well. The boy was valued at 40 millions just a season ago but is now available for cut price 20 millions. That is a steal for a player of his qualities and potential, let alone he can also play in the midfield. I am sure Elliott can cough up 20 millions considering market prices these days and they haven’t spent a dime in this transfer yet

Ted im not sure where you are getting that valuation of ajer from because according to transfermarkt he is currently topping his all-time valuation at 4 mil. Sure celtic might have said they want 40 mil a year ago but if milan says they want 80 mil for castilejo it doesnt really mean that his actual worth. i wouldnt mind him joining us and Ajer will propably leave for 25 ml in the end but not so confident it will happen in this trransfer window.

I never discuss transfermarkt evaluation but always what club demands and yes it is Celtic that valued him at 35-40 millions a season ago

ok fair enough and either way their valuation even if a bit high at that point deffently is closer to the real value than transfermarkts anyway,

He is a decent signing and could improve us but I absolutely do not want this to impact our attempts for the likes of chiesa. We still need a winger and chiesa would be amazing to play alongside tonali. Future of milan the pair.

I know we need a cb but km more worried about losing chiesa to a rival big team

TheTruthSeeker couldnt agree more with you, personally i wont mind hauge joining us if for a small fee as he is a talented fella who can further develope with us and add some depth but if signing him becomes a bad excuse to let the possibility of signing chiesa go by, then hell no to that aquisition. To people potentially expecting hauge copying the stats of the norwegian league in italy well i think the norwegian league is the worst of the 3 best scandinavian leagues, denmark, sweden. norway. Milan might have had some issues beating bodø glimt thursday but… Read more »

He shares similar history with Halaand, don’t you think their story can be similar?

well ofcourse it can but that doesnt mean he will mount to anything in the end and comparing him with a player of chiesas calibre simply isnt fair to either of them. If he joins us ill be glad but fact is that propably none of the millan fans here besides of me knew of him before thursday and now a large part of the milan fans thinks he is some world beater makes me seriously wonder what people actually knows.

This guy has everything to be a top level player. I will welcome him any day. Milan seem to be playing with cohesion and any good player can fit in without any hindrances, unlike previous years. Dribbles, has pace, well built, can shoot, damn. An intimidating player

I agree. And if we talk about players that are overvalued then Chiesa would be one of the first on the list. Hauge is a very interesting candidate and could be a surprising bonus for Milan. Lets see what happens.

I watched Hauge very carefully n i wanna say he will be better than Chiesa…. Chiesa never scored a goal from that distance n his action is fearless n he is also faster than Chiesa.n he will cost less than Chiesa which is the most important point

That’s right. Indeed with a fee of 4-5m max you cannot go wrong with such players.
There is very little risk to actually lose from such a deal.

Believe me hauge is better player than chiesa chiesa can never do what hauge did to us in 90 minutes this boy got everything to be world class like c Ronaldo and less than a year his price will be 50-70ml i can say easily another bennacer

As i allready said im not saying he is bad player not at all and i would gladly welcome him to join us if the fee is right but if you think playing a few seasons in norway which frankly is a subpar league can be compared to being an consistant player in italy for the last 4 years then you cant be reasoned with. Sure he played great against us but comparing him to chiesa or ronaldo is offensive on so many different levels. Had i not been a milan fan i would be laughing if hauge turns out… Read more »

Well partially yes but his stats looks extra exciting because he plays in a subpar league if you look on bodøs right wing they have danish player zinckernagel who has amassed 13 goals and 17 assists in 18 games and he certainly wasnt very prolific in the danish league. Danish players that often isnt very good or cant compete with the best is often shipped up north where they then seem like a revelation and that is because the league is lousy. Take that as a sign whether you like it or not. Again using kaka ronaldo and messi as… Read more »

I wouldn’t say he’s better than Chiesa right now, but could very well be in a couple years… Hell, even in one year. It looks like he’s a bit of a late bloomer, it’s not like he’s been playing pro since he was 16 or something. He was promoted only last year, at 19, and only started getting real minutes by the end of the season. This is his first full season as a starter, and he’s dominating the (admittedly weak) league he’s playing in. All I’m saying is Hauge is impressive and as much as a love Chiesa, there’s… Read more »

Daniel not that i disagree with your overall sentiment and good to see someone with common sense in regard of this matter but he has actually been playing fairly consistently since 2016 playing 20+games each year even if not all as a starter. He is deffenbtly a great talent but whether he will become better than chiesa only time willl tell but if he do joins us lets hope so atleast.

Low risk, high reward. If he performs at Milan he will be worth over 20 m overnight. Good business

The guy of Bodo glimt wearing shirt #11 is special. However, will he be a backup for Rebic?
