Interesting that paqueta is left out. I honesty don’t rate him high but he does have skill. Diaz is a guaranteed sub for the 3 under our forward, but after that there’s no one. I personally would take him. If he had a good performance he would have commanded a better transfer as well. Clearly we aren’t keeping him so having him not on the roster could send a negative signal to other clubs

First of all i dont mind paqueta and wouldnt mind him staying and infact im quite confident he will shine eventually wherever that might be but in my view there can actually be many different reasons why he is omitted from the squad. My general thought though is that he isnt called up to the squad because lets be real here we should be fairly easy beating shamrock rovers regardless of maldinis comment downplaying our favourite role but if paqueta was to get injured it could seriously affect how we can move in the remaining transfer window. Obviously if we… Read more »

Is Paqueta really that bad that Daniel Maldini is ahead of him?

These are the kind of matches a player can show their importance. Good luck to Paqueta wherever he does though.

The news is now so rife that AC MILAN will be wearing the same trouser with a club -Shamrock Rovers from Irish league. Almost all the media are reporting it lately. Infact, almost everyone one except the dog besides my house knows that MIlan has a make or mar match lying in wait tomorrow. Sometimes, when it crosses my mind that the hour is getting closer , my heart quavers. I can’t wait to hear the trumpet of victory for MIlan tomorrow. One would be wondering what is the storm in a tea cup all about with this Shameocks since… Read more »

There must be a good explanation why Paqueta was left out. Sure I think he needs a change of environment and restart his career somewhere else but we are without Rebić and Leao while Ibra is not fully fit. We need all the help we can get up front and should not underestimate Shamrock

That’s exactly my thought. I don’t think it was a good idea to leave him out in my opinion

Zeeks, I take attitude issue with a pinch of salt. But if that’s exactly the issue, then the player does not know what he is doing

Paquetta been left out is due to issues during training I hear, but who knows. It is a shame because the guy has talent, plenty of it, and can contribute even with our current crop of midfielders.

Sempremilan reporting that reaching the final (!!) in Europa league would fetch 35 mil. Now compare that to the price of beefing up the squad so as to be to handle the extra match load induced by the competition … this is why this tournament, aka “europa-nothing league” is not for teams like Milan.

Little gain for a potential high risk of injuries … and please nobody mention the “European experience” we gain by facing euro-giants such as shamrock rovers (no disrepct to our opponents, but it’s simply a fact …).

Decent first half, our wingers are not having a good day, Gabbia needs more balls.

shamrock players are clearly much more match fit and only kessie can match their physicality. the defense did pretty well in 1st half but 2 mistakes by gabbia nearly cost milan. 2 wingers provided width (duh) but they often did backpasses whenever they got the ball. only kessie, ben, hakan and ibra tried to trade low passes, others either pulled boring long balls or safe back/lateral passes. thank god for hakan for his final balls and ibra for his finishing AND final balls (samu should’ve buried ibra’s low cross into the net). i hope the boys do better in 2nd… Read more »

well, he might’ve been in 1st half but he picked himself up and became one of key milan players in 2nd half. clearly he deserves that spot beside kessie ahead of tonali.
all in all, we’ll take this comfortable win

Good win overall. Gabbia errors show why we need a solid CB. Salaemaekers wasn’t good at all tonight. Probably because of playing out of position. But another reason why we need a good RW/LW. Forza Milan

From the little cameo seen from Brahim Diaz, I think he should have started over Saelemaekers today. Not trying to downplay the efforts of Saelemaekers but to me that’s all he has going for him, the deft touches and that sweet through pass from Diaz to open Castijello at the closing stages of the match already has me itching to see him play more matches over Saelemaekers.

first off, congrats john malkovich and the boys for comfortable win. the team played fairly decently but whats with subbing off saladmaker for krunic? i mean, i get it, to salvage the 2-0 lead, but like i said, thats not what winning team should do, especially vs minnows like ken shamrock. remember bayern 8-2 barca? thats how winners killed the game off. i know damn well that italian coaches can be way too pragmatic but those horrible losses vs inter last season, vs deportivo in 2004 or istanbul 2005 should be enough as lesson in complacency. speaking of pragmatic italian… Read more »

di marzio has been a clown for 2 years now so no one should take him seriously anymore but interestingly according to him lyon are ok with letting depay go to milan in exchange for paqueta. now, im against paqueta sale not only because i think he’s quality player but also because if milan let him go now and madrid slap high price tag on brahim then next year milan will have to buy yet another am as hakan’s competitor, which in todays market wont come for <20-30m. and with ibra also possibly gone by next year, milan will need… Read more »
