Giacomo Bonaventura will most likely not be part of the Milan of the next season as they are planning to focus even harder on young players.

While football is not really on the minds of people around the world at times when the Coronavirus is taking the lives of so many, and directly affecting everyone and everything, Milan in these days are trying to plan for the next season – even though the current campaign has not yet ended, and it’s unsure when it will.

It is not yet known who will be the coach for the 2020/21 campaign, but the desire of CEO Ivan Gazidis and of Elliott seems to be to focus even more on young players. As a results, some of the veterans in the squad could find themselves searching for a new club come summer time.

According to Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano, the contract of Jack Bonaventura expires at the end of the season and he “will probably not renew it”. Sky believes that we’re heading towards the non-renewal of the 30-year-old who is liked by Roma, Lazio, Napoli, Fiorentina, Torino and other clubs abroad. Nothing has yet been defined with any party, however, as the focus is on the current season.

Di Stefano claims that Milan want to invest in a new project and Bonaventura does not seem to be a part of it. Jack has been wearing the Diavolo’s colors since 2014, scoring 34 goals in 171 games.

If you really leave, thanks for all these years Jack..
You’ve been the light in the dark times.

Sad to see him go. He has given 100% every time on the pitch but the serious injuries have affected too much. I’d still prefer him over Calhanoglu any given day.

Decrease the salary and give the man a 1-year contract. He’d be useful on the bench. He’s a true team player with plenty of experience so he would be an asset to this youth project.

milan mgmt: nope, bonad10nho’s too old
also milan mgmt: lets extend ibra’s contract. while we’re at it, lets get aging david silva and goetze too. what? donna is arguably best young gk? we need to balance the book goddammit. who cares about trophies? if arsenal could replace van persie and fabregas with arteta and welbeck then surely milan can replace donna with sirigu.
