The Coppa Italia game has been postponed, the squad will now be returning to Milanello.

After the game against Genoa at Stadio San Siro was cancelled in the weekend, a decision has now been made to postpone the return leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final between Milan and Juve.

The Prefetto di Torino decided this evening that the match will be postponed rather than be played behind closed doors. The reason is of course the Coronavirus outbreak which continues to take lives in Italy.

The match was scheduled for Wednesday evening at 20:45 CET at the Allianz Stadium. 40k tickets were sold for the game and the team has spent the last few hours in Turin. They will now head back to Milanello. A new date will have to be set for the game by the Italian Federation.

It’s yet another decision that comes in awful timing; the game, like many others, could have been played behind closed doors. It’s worth nothing that Serie B games are going ahead as planned.

Its 2020 ffs!! Something like this should be dealt with swiftly if wasnt intentionally man made!! .. number 3 and very sad 🙁 …… Read more »

Wait, Serie B is going on as planned? Wtf?
The health risk is only for the Serie A players?
Or just because Seire B is second division, their health does not matter as much as the precious health of Serie A players?
Hypocrisy.

It all comes down to selling tickets pal, attendance on serie A must be so much higher. Playing matches at closed doors is irrelevant to them.

Yep. With the Italian Federation, everything’s about the money.

So is the match postponed due to the virus or the fact that Ronaldo flew to Portugal and would have missed this game? Since it’s Calcio, I’d bet my money on the latter one. FFS.
