Krzysztof Piątek has stated ‘we have to stay focused on our current challenges’ and claimed ‘I do not think about the mercato’ as Milan look for a striker.
Piątek only has four goals this season, three of which are penalties, but over the last couple of weeks the Polish seems to be getting better and returning to form after a very disappointing start.
“The difficulties of the last months? For the fans and for the club, when the first-choice striker is not in form and does not play [well] then that can be a problem,” Kris said in an interview with Sky Italia, as reported by Milannews.it. “But I always think positive, I work hard and I have everything to do well. But now I feel better and I have positive feelings.
“The reasons for the crisis? Football is like that. Maybe I did things wrong during the summer pre-season. In the first few games I didn’t feel good physically, I wasn’t fresh. I felt heavy and without energy. It was a problem, but now I feel well. How I feel now? I’m playing well with the squad, I fight and I win back many balls. This is the real Piątek, I want to continue like this.
“The fact that I only scored 4 goals compared to 17 last season at mid-season? Last season I had more goals, but when I’m in great shape I can score 6-7 goals in a few games. I only think about this, I can score the same number of goals as last season.

Piątek also had an interview with MilanTV: “The hug with Pioli in Bologna? Coach Pioli is always positive. For us, with a lot of young players, it’s very important. Against Bologna we played possession football very well, in defense in attack. It was a great match.
“If I’ve dreamt of playing in the Champions League with Milan? A lot of players here at Milan dream of playing for the club in the Champions League. But now we have to stay focused on our current challenges because we have a lot of matches and we must play like we did against Bologna in each. We’ll see, everything is possible in football.
“What kind of match do I expect on Sunday? We want to win this match against Sassuolo because we know it’s a very important day for the fans and the club and we want to make everything perfect for us and for the fans. We must get the three points.
