Manganiello to officiate the game against Sassuolo on Sunday, Banti will be the referee in charge of VAR

Gianluca Manganiello has been named the referee for Sunday’s game, his fourth match as an official for Milan.

After beating Parma and Bologna, Milan return to Stadio San Siro to celebrate their 120th anniversary in a match against Sassuolo on Sunday afternoon.

Today it was announced that Gianluca Manganiello will be the referee for the game, which kicks off at 15:00 CET.

In his career, Manganiello has refed Milan three times, most recently in the 1-0 win over Hellas Verona on Matchday 3 of this season. He was the main ref in 6 Serie A games this season, showing 26 yellow cards, 2 reds, awarding 3 penalties.

Tarcisio Villa and Enrico Caliari will be the linesmen, while Francesco Fourneau will act as the fourth referee. On VAR, there will be Luca Banti with his assistant being Alessandro Costanzo.
