wth is wrong with milan players’ finishing? cant boban just ask san marco to hold 1-2 days coaching clinic?

for some reason I cant reply to your latest comment:

Hakan in Midfield have been tried so many times. both player, play in more advanced roles. I think with playing more, they can make swaps during the game

fair point. but not under pioli. im pretty sure we’ll see different hakan as attacking cm under him. as it is, both milan flanks look anemic with slow suso and hakan

In serieA where deffending is good and space is hard to find, speed is the key to creat space.
We are lacking the speed on the flanks. The deffence of the other team has it to easy,
suso recives ball, they dont have to break a sweat, the player

we dont have finishers.the guy who supposed to be the killer.cant kill as a lone striker..and the wings.well everyone know whats the problem there..

piatek’s not calm. hell, even pipita wasnt calm as milan st hence his stupid red card vs juve.
there’s moment there after piatek’s shot got blocked, he could’ve passed the ball calmly to kessie on the right flank but he hurriedly and waywardly passed it and parma got throw in. that alone tells me he’s not calm. maybe milan shirt is too heavy for some players

we have 60% midtable team players and some hot prospect like leao….seedorf was so right..we will never score goals with a 433 with the wingers we have and that foolish polish guy..we dont even have a killer passer..its just frustrating to watch out attack..

I think he’s worried too much about justifying last year’s reputation. But all these pseudo-psychological analyses are redundant; a top striker knows how to show consistent scoring throughout multiple seasons. So far Piatek looks like he’s joining the one-season wonder list, although I think he’ll still have decent numbers (just not great).

Cess

No, Milan shirt is not too heavy on him.. its just the Number 9….. he should take his 19 back until Inzaghi present it to him … lol

Piatek seems more lively today. I hope he scores
Suso is still our worst player on the field, he slows the whole team.
Bonna in Midfield, made him less dangerous.

the squad today is pretty much the best we have. Thats our quality.

Ewaen

Spot on and well said Soheil. Suso is terribly slow, he has good control no doubt, but of what use is the control if you are so static. Calhanoglu, Kessie, Piatek and Musachio didnt do so well either. But Piatek looked sharper than in previous games. I still believe if he has very good ball-playing midfielders, he will get goal and restore his confidence

bonad10nho made one overlap as lw, combining nicely with theo, and already he almost scored while hakan tends to drift to the middle to shoot or pass. why cant john malkovich just swap their positions?

Conti is playing really good at RB. Happy for him. But our midfield players with the exception of Bennacer have no football intelligence. They shoot when they should pass the ball and they pass the ball when they should shoot at goal. They are not reading the play and the game before they get the ball so that they know what to do and which passing options they have. This is why we look so out of ideas in the final 3rd. I also don’t get why Pioli has Bonaventura in midfield instead of Calhanoglu. Bonaventura is more effective closer… Read more »

Milan is getting back to the game but far from being a grade A class team. Our aims are not with motives sometimes and we lack a midfield which Is hungry and blind to create food ( goal) blind to open up for the attackers to get goals Here a one or two experienced players will surely make away to open up Parma defense and free up our striker Meanwhile the corners are woeful they should put the ball in the box and allow them to contest We should stop playing backwards to keeper instead of pushing forward Let hope… Read more »

Gents, let’s not deceive ourselves. With Suso and calhanoglu as wingers, we will not go anywhere. I have said this several times. Both players have played in different positions and in lots of matches but all to no avail. Each time I check our line up and see these two players , I feel so dejected. I feel so sad . Look at other teams results. Inter , Lazio are all leading with many goals now. Every time we struggle to score. If we don’t relegate these two clowns to bench or sell them, I bet you, we will not… Read more »

I agree. Milan management is delusional if they think that these players and this team is good enough to qualify for CL.. I would personally get rid of the majority of this team starting with Suso, Calhanoglu, Kessié and Musacchio.

in last 3 years milan have spent close to half a billion euro on players. problem is they didn’t spent it wisely. most of the players they bought didn’t pan out. had they spent it on 5-6 players, we would have a decent team right now. so don’t give this bs about not having money.

Nino

We should thank Montella for getting rid of Kucka!

Instead of consolidating on a team that played its heart out and was forming a bond already, Montella and his stupid palls aka FassoBelli with the Chinese fraud ejected good players and wasted money on the likes of Borini, Kessie, Biglia, Kalinic, etc. when it would have been easier to buy a Deulofeu, even Mario Pasalic could have been bought.

Anyway, let’s get away from that – even though it hurts to think that that money could have been better utilised than just wasted in buying eleven new players

Bona plays the best game any Milan player has this entire season in the LW.Then Hakan returns and Bona is put deeper in the field to accommodate for his inclusion(Because Hakan is sooo essential). Mark my words,as long as Hakan is in this team,Milan will never finish top 4.Clearly every single coach that arrives at this club sees him as invaluable, when in reality,a more effective player could have made the difference in this team starting to achieve success again.

I just dont get chanalogulu, he is suppsed to be our freekick specialist.
But the descision making in the final third, is so poor, the passes are avrage.

Totally agree. I’m not confident in this team. They are average players and until we get rid of the majority of them nothing will change, Personally, I don’t want to see players like Biglia, RR, Kessié, Calhanoglu, Suso, Borini, Musacchio, Castilijo and Calabria next season.

I think we should go for Theo, Leao, Bonna attacking three. at least we will have enough speed to surprise opponents. Everytime suso gets the ball I hope he do something different but again! the same bullshit! Hakan is getting better, yes, but even his best is not enough for our UCL dreams and Kessie… I cant even describe my frustration with him. Poor Pioli… Poor Pioli…

Dindudre

Bonaventura plays well with Leao in attack because the both can switch with each other and play 1-2 passes easily between each other. Pioli needs to recognize this and bench Piatek and Calhanoglu. Leao made more impact in this game within few mins he spent on the pitch compared to Piatek. Every coach Milan hires will lose their job if the continue playing calhanoglu cos this guy offers nothing to this team. Smh

Dindudre

@nick. You’re right bro. That’s why I feel Pioli should recognize this by now. However I think Pioli doesn’t wanna switch to 3 defender formation right now since he doesn’t have time to train the team on the formation so they can play it the way he wants and I agree with him if that’s the reason he hasn’t switched. He’s impressed me so far with his subs whenever he sees a player is not performing well he yanks the player off the pitch. I just want to see more of Leao than piatek cos Leao knows how to hold… Read more »

I hope that the only reason why Calahoglu is a starter is because they dont want his price to drop so they can make some money from his sale in January.

The only reason that can make us to see Calhanoglu and Suso in the first eleven till transfer market starts is for us to give impression to potential buyers that they are good so that their values won’t drop the more. I even doubt if two of them can command any value right now. Anything different from this, then they be on d bench pending when we have buyer. I doubt iff Ibra will come unless we can guarantee him two to three solid addition to the squad.

What matters is the 3 points. Also a clean sheet and Conti with consistency is finally gaining some form. He’s looking solid at the back so hopefully he can continue like this. Pretty sad that theo has to come to rescue olus and be our most dangerous attacker.

The attack seem lost. Weakest point of the team. Their runs are horrible, they can’t string passes together and the off the ball movement is worst of all. It needs to greatly improve because the defence and midfield have now that and maybe we can finally start getting some points..

first off all, congrats john malkovich and the boys for the win. it was a solid 6/10 display from milan despite what all the naysayers say. they dominated from the start and except for the final ball, or lack thereof, no one really played THAT badly. the back four, especially 2 fb, and bennacer did solid job. kessie looked weaker than usual but he’s still better than krunic. bonad10nho looked limited as cm but he looked dangerous when playing near pen box, especially when he traded passes with leao and theo. hakan’s tenacity’s admirable but he needs to work on… Read more »

Thank you, Milan10! Finally an analysis from someone who seems to have actually watched the game. Milan was fine, and I’d add that they created some very good chances, only the finishing wasn’t there. This game (an away game, btw) could’ve easily been a 3 or 4-0 win. I agree with your 6/10 grade because 1-0 with a goal from our LB in last minute clearly isn’t ideal. But this was one of the best performances I’ve seen from Milan all season long – and a win. If we continue to play like this, trust me, the finishing will come… Read more »

Watching the match tonight, really sparked emotions. Kessie and Calha really have no business in the match. They dont have even a basic abilities of professional footballers. Poor pass and poor decision making during the game. Piatek ?? Was he on the field? Do not know exactly. Maybe it’s just someone who resembled the ex-Genoa stiker who was horrendous last season. The stupidity of the three of them, really scared me. Do not let, a champion like theo, deteriorated technically and passionately, because contracting the inconsistency of other players such as kessie, calha and piatek. I have been a Suso supporter for a long time. But I am now very open to him being sold for a profit. Even Piatek (although I think it’s more a confidence issue).

How can we hold this much of the ball in Parma’s half and not test them?
We need ruthlessness in attack. It’s too easy to mark off our attackers.

If I am the coach, I would try 3 4 2 1.
GK: Donna (84)
CB: Roma (82), Musa (80), Kessie (78)
LWB: Theo (81) RWB: Conti (78)
CM: Benna (80), Rebic/Krunic
LF: Bona (85) RF: Suso (82)
ST: Piatek/Leo (80)

We need more help on CB and CM, Rakitic or Modric would have been nice.
Based on the highlights I watched. The coach is making our team much better. We can compete for a top 6 if we can get some help in the transfer.
PS: Last year, I mentioned that Hakan will never be better than Bona.
