Why 433 when we haven’t got quick wingers? Hakan has to play in the middle, id have rather played 352,flooded midfield to stop juve and played leao, piatek together and use leao pace on counter against there slow center backs. Praying for a shock tonight u never know!!!

@Ewaen and Soheil….Definitely daylight between how we play under Giampaolo or Gattuso compared to Pioli. Unfortunately Pioli took over Milan when we have a tough schedule. With some smart signings in January we can improve drastically but I’m on the fence if Pioli should continue after this season if coaches like Allegri and Mourinho are available. Logically it would make sense to continue with Pioli if he manages to turn things around especially after the winter break but I wouldn’t choose him over Allegri. We need a proven top coach with quality players. Just look at inter under Conte? They… Read more »

I don’t think any big name accept Milan job. I believe we should try stability and maybe let a coach see second & third season for once.

He seems smart, charismatic (just look at how he handled kessie) and he knows how to develop youngsters.

Of course if an A class coach accept to coach us, I would be happy about it. (Carleto may be available but I don’t think he will be crazy enough to accept such a job)

nick

Milan didn’t sign Allegri because they didn’t want to pay the 10m per season salary he wanted. Likewise similar situation with Spalletti.

Ewaen
Guest
Ewaen

I also think Allegri would have his doubts too, apart from the 10m salary.
You know, Milan no longer looks like a team that will spend 60m for players, and you know transfers fees are now so inflated.
Most of the top coaches will rather wait for a team that would guarantee spending at least 150m per season.

Ewaen
Guest
Ewaen

Yes Soheil, we need to get stable, too many changes on the bench hasn’t helped us.
At the moment, most top coaches will not want to come because they are not sure of how much we can spend on players. No financial guarantees

Ewaen
Guest
Ewaen

Yes Nick, Pioli has done a great job in a very short time, only the results are missing and the fixtures have not been kind.
I would rather keep Pioli if there is no top level coach available and that list have just few coaches.
Like you rightly said, if we can get 2- 3 proven top players with alot of experience, good results will come too.

Good first half by the boys. Defensively, we’re looking really solid with el capitano giving a superb performance, and everyone around him taking cue. Even Conti is good and aggressive. In general, pretty much everyone showed the right level of agression and determination, with Krunic and Bennaser providing proper cover to the defense. Offensively, we are not able to develop too much, but we we’re still the more dangerous with some long passes. Juve clearly have most of the possession, and it’s not clear how long we can hold on, so we need to improve this somehow in the second… Read more »

We have to give this manager till rest of season. We had more shots than juve at one of the most difficult grounds in the world to play. Only conceded one goal and there keeper made some great saves to deny us. We have had a really tough run of matches, easier games to come! We will come good I’m sure, it’s frustrating but let’s see where we are end of season.

I get it. Trust me I do but let’s not fool ourselves here. This squad is not good enough and their strategy for players like Leao is not the solution.

I don’t think our team will change until we have an owner that wants to win Serie A and Champions League and a mediocre owner that just wants to settle for 4th place.

It was probably the best performance of Milan in so many years. The only difference between us & juve (the best team in Italy) was a simple incident. Just a simple moment. Even Conti was impressive tonight.

I really don’t know what some fans here talking about. Do you remember playing this good in recent years?

Rossi

I disagree that the difference was a “simple incident”, to me the difference was the quality player who can driblle and take his chances unlike our players (Piatek) who cant do non of that. Good game however.

Good preformance by milan, to bad about that goal, world class by dyabala, but romagnoli could have done better. We saw that with Castillejo and Also Rebic at left wing cause problem. Hopefully we can get Castilejo back and hopefully Rebic can earn his spot at the left. I am sure the goals will come. Great game and the guys are getting back their confidence

Well, one can dream. Milan stood toe to toe with Juve tonight, but one moment of brilliance by Dibala which even Romag (on one of his best performances in the season) couldn’t stop killed us off.

Still a good performance overall, but again it’s the story of the final minutes where our subs contribute nearly nothing and Juve’s subs kill the match. What can you do, these things happen when your playing a better squad.

soheil balini

Considering we played against Ronaldo, Pianic and Dybala, yeah it was a great performance. I hope Milan owners don’t fire Pioli because of current relegation zone standing. (We have lots of other candidates to fire. Anyone knows what is the role of Massara or Scaroni? Let’s fire them 🙂 )

Of course Reinforcement is needed. A midfielder. A right winger and a striker (it’s unclear when Piatek be back to his scoring days).

Gaetu

I would start from the back, find a real partner to roma, find a rb (if conti gives constant good displays like today then keep him), and then move upper. A midfield with high flair and good at dictate tempo, then we need 2 wingers not one. We dont have 1 good winger at the team. Even if i am not pleased about piattek and leao, cant blame them for no scoring, with that suport not many can score goals.

Add Maldini and Boban to that list with Scaroni and Massara. Our decision to not sign Bakayoko was fatal including our coach selection as even Pioli Would have had better results if he had the team during preseason. We are worst off now from last season and badly need quality “LONG TERM reinforcements come January which should include a CB – Demiral, RB- Aurier, a DM- Bakayoko, AM – Ozil, a Mezzala- Rakitic, LW – Everton Soares, RW-Keita Balde and a clinical striker – Luca Jovic or possibly Icardi (dreaming of course). We played probably played our best game of the season today but I wouldn’t get carried away. Juventus were surprisingly poor today. So many misplaced passes and a lack continuity in their attacking play. We can build on this performance but it is very clear to the naked eye that this lacks quality players who can make the difference in big games. Edd Romag was pure quality yesterday, but even the best CB in the world will fail once and a while against someone with Dibala’s skills. Regarding reinforcements- I agree that DM and CB is really needed for the back. But January is a very sparse market. I like Matic from all the names that are thrown around these days. You can’t be serious to compare those teams players to Milan? Spending 30m for Leao and selling Cutrone is pure madness.

Gaetu

Like i said before, i have read a lot about why cutrone left and is because we needed money so that ffp can leave us some room to breath. The sacrified lamm ( dont know if i wrote it right). Benna, theo and leao can do wonders, but they need time. We already had a poacher in piattek and he probably was better view as a future striker for the future and probably for profit. Cutrone played little last season, always prefered higuain and piattek over him.

You again mention three names that we got these season, why not mentioning Kessié in Atalanta, Castillejo in Villarreal, Biglia in Lazio (experienced and good player who you call him mediocre due to his mistakes), Paquetá in Flamengo,… Fans always make expiration date for players and managers based on how many mistakes they make or results, this is milan problem

I guess you didn’t get what I said, current Milan players are able to get us to cl in “Serie A” and most of problems will be solved, what I wonder is you guys never think that many of these players that are always considered mediocre in these comments were bought due to their brilliant performance in their previous clubs, if they don’t play as they did in their previous clubs doesn’t mean they’re useless so you must find the problem somewhere else

AC Milan were fantastic today though, I must admit. I have said it before and I’ll say again I see the real importance of bakayoko in this team. The key areas in the middle where juventus dwell on the ball are the areas where bakayoko is at his best in breaking down attacks and winning the ball. The only person better than him at this is the best holding midfielder in the world and that is N’golo kante’.

nick

We can blame Maldini for not signing Bakayoko. Giampaolo was also his failed idea too. This is the problem currently at Milan. We are too nostalgic for past players when we should be hiring capable directors with experience to build a winning team. Maldini has no experience to do that. Look at inter for example and their results. They hired Beppe Moratta and Conte. Now they are title challengers to Juventus. Moratta is building a strong team at Inter. Pioli is going through the phase of having good performances with no results now whereas Giampaolo had gone through that phase in pre-season. @Coach Seedorf….Giampaolo would have still failed if he was still at Milan. The players were not on his side and a few even spoke of their displeasure playing under him after he was sacked.

The looks better under Pioli and with some proper January signings we should be able to avoid relegation. At this point we can most certainly forget about champions league football.

Dear all, some if not many of you are practicing denial of reality. It’s very simple: Pioli has 1 win against a relegation candidate and 3 major defeats. It’s of course about style of play, but more importantly about statistics. 4 out of 15 points, not more chances created, not a lot more shots on goal.

A losing mentality and no brightlight. Playing – a bit – better, but losing is not a brightlight. It’s a concession of mediocrity. A new “broom” should still get a lot more out of it, even at worse clubs. #Dissapointing
