Did anyone watch juve vs Genoa yesterday? 20yr old Kevin Agudelo from colombia finished all Juve’s powerful mdfs. What is our management waiting for? Very skillful , tackles hard , dribbles well and attacks very well. Wow!!!

Daniel Maldini’s free kicks and general plays from today – after injury layoff – looked better than Milan first termer midfielders and forwards’ general play against Lecce.

He is still a kid. Too fragile. He needs to gain some muscles and work on his first touch and finishing. Still a very promising prospect. We better not burn him too early like we did with cutrone …

So that you guys can keep claiming that Sosu is the main and only problem? Hope we win but like I’ve always said not many players in this team can deliver much better than even a struggling Suso

Official line up seems good. Apparently Pioli saw all the flaws and tried to solve them. Bennacer, Duarte, Samu & Piatek are logical replacements.

At least we will know how Bennacer & Samu would play in their “apparent” natural positions.

It’s a 4-3-3 that Turns to 3 – 4 – 3. Something that Mancini is using in Italy.

We lack intensity. Again it’s like we forced them to enter the field. Fine 10% of their salaries and they will run like horses all game.

Another shit half
Kessie gave the ball away 4 times in the 1st
12 mins, could only carve out 1 decent chance when we should be desperate to win .
Midfield a problem
Somethings gotta give
Have to win here with 3 hard games coming up

Anyone found Calhanoglu yet? Still looking for him. Lol. And this is why I don’t like piatek starting, he doesn’t add to the buildup play and that’s something Leao is good at. Seems like his teammates are scared to involve him in a buildup play cos he can’t hold the ball on his leg to save his life. He’s a good striker but he’s not good at buildup plays.

Soheil

a striker should be good at scoring. Give him 4 balls in penalty area and if he didn’t score two of them, then you can say he is not doing his job!

He is still bad. He is not even a poacher. Never liked strikers of his type. Too outdated and predictable. We are way deep in the modern era football. Catenaccio is part of the past.

Milan – Spal first half – very weak display by the boys. The current lineup is being outplayed out-agressed by a very physical SPAL, who are playing very bold in San Siro. Suprise, suprise, we have very few answers for their pressing game, with Hakan and Bennaser exceptionally weak, and Kessie his usual sloppy self. Bennaser is losing 50% of balls in dangerous positions, and in particular looks out of place. Piatek looks rusty, and Paquetta and to lesser extent Samu perhaps the only light in our mid-offense. Very weak. Wake up boys. Hakan and Bennaser should be the first… Read more »

I don’t like the idea of having Duarte as fullback he will make less mistakes because he wouldn’t take much risk. We need someone there how can push forward,.Calabria Borini or Conti. It’s Spal and we need to be carefree , we otherwise look defensive and passive

Hey guys , it’s being quite a time I’m following your comments, cannot agree more with most except the ones that always talking about individual players, however one big problem I see in Milan this season that compare to all other teams in serie a is unbelievably playing under pressure , honestly I reach a point that with all confident I can say as a coach I can put this Milan under a lot of pressure with ordinary players just to tell my players put pressure on Milan from their side of the field then don’t worry!!! instead of talking… Read more »

This team is definitely scared. Pioli asks them to push forward, they don’t. With Giampaolo happened the same way. They are still playing Rino’s style. Sit in the back and wait. This team needs a huge turnover. So dissapointed. None of then is hungry to take chances.

Thats right, many people dont realize that to change a playing style takes a lot longer then few months, it took city a full year to start playing Guardiola style. Gatusso ignored the techincal part of the game for almost two years and now we want for some one to teach these players how to pass, create in few months lol, if that was so easy you can take any one on the street and make him a football player in few months.

I never understand when people say this, because its not like these players dont come from teams or international squads that play with “proper” systems. They are not unfamiliar to proper tactics, and people exaggerate this like they need to be taught from A-Z,by some wizard coach. They are professional players not amatuers. Thats why they earn above normal folk.People need to stop making excuses for them and say shit like “they need to learn how to press” I mean why the hell would you play in Serie A if you dont know how to freakin press? Milan – Spal: better second half but still not an overall good performance. Pioli getting his first win with our worst performance so far under his reign. Clearly, this level won’t be enough against Lazio and Napoli, but who knows… maybe we can somehow wake up until next week, using this win as wind in our sails. Is Suso already woke? Who knows.

The players were a bit nervous. We missed chances that we could have easily taken. If we get a big win, against one of the “big” teams, we’ll get confidence back.

Also SPAL played the spoilers game. Classic Serie A tactic. Just sit back and kick everyone and get cheap fouls for 90 minutes. (One of the reasons why Serie A tends to be a low scoring league).

I am just glad our mistakes weren’t costly.

Let’s see how we handle Lazio

They may seem good, but in truth they will never take us to that place we want to be: Suso(Another brilliant goal to hide the truth), Calhanoglu(Always seem like the best but we can’t go anywhere with this guy embodying our support attack; time proven fact), Bonaventura, Kessie, Paqueta, Biglia, Castillejo, replace Conti with a better starter like Theo (Bench Calabria or sell him too, if he can’t stay as second choice). Didn’t watch the match but will say swapping duarte for muchasio was OK the the line up needs bennacer to move to LDM as he is too weak to be our CDM but will play better at left side midf, we need bakayoko or better still risk krunic in the CDM or play 451 we have more midfielders now then allow boring to sub as a striker that’s his natural position just 5-10min and see

jhas1111

jhas1111

I dont get it. Bennacer the way he plays he could be ACM, he played ACM for his country when he won afcon player award. Why didnt Giampolo play him as ACM in a 4312….

Anyways i agree a better CDM is needed, not signing Bakayako… who was the real reasson for milans sucsess in the midfield.. is a tragedy. Benching kessie and playing bennacer in his place would be intresting.

Rossi

Why risk Krunic as a CDM when you have Kessie who is a natural CDM, Kessie played as a CDM for Atlanta and he played as CDM for his Country made 3 assist as well as CDM in AFCON. We only need to swap Kessie and Bennacer positions.
As for Catileho he did ok, with more playing time im sure he will start scoring as well, its not like Suso scores every game either.

Last night we’ve witnessed the clear difference in mind set. Theo comes from a club of champions, club with a winning mentality and it is obvious in his play compared to the rest of Brady’s bunch.

Hope they won’t gradually downgrade his mentality to their poor level. Management need to do something in January, bring in people with experience at the highest level.

I am still 99 percent sure none of you have ever played football at a high level. This isn’t a one day fix. You can bring whatever coach you want in here they would be faced with the same dilemma. The players have quality. The problem is that they lack leadership on the pitch. Bringing Modric in would have changed a lot of dynamics of this current squad. There is no accountability for bad games. The captain should be holding a players only meeting or doing something. I love Romagnoli but he is too young for that armband. Everyone here… Read more »

People keep saying that but we have spent millions, almost spent 40 million on Correa, we have one of the largest salary budgets in Serie A, and despite not having an owner the current stewards are one of the richest organizations in the world who have even been able to “own” Argentina by purchasing their debt; Surely they (or the team through sales) could have sprung for Conte/Mourinho, etc. and Lukaku, Sanchez players of that caliber.

Blaz I didnt watch the match or the situation before now but if his arm/hand is deemed to be in a natural position or that a ball is shot from so close range that the player cant react upon it it might be assessed as not being a penalty. From what i can see the player stands in a fairly natural position getting ready for the ball to arrive and as the ball is deflected from a close distance by belottis header he didnt really have much time to avoid it. Thats atleast what i would guess the rerferee interpreted… Read more »

Martin there was a penalty against Napoli for handball which wasnt even close to the handbal of DeLight, the ball hit Napoli player close to the shoulder, the explanation was that even the slightest touch with hand is a penalty…now for Juventus it seems the rules are changing, they got a penalty in 94min against Genova as well from a clear dive, no VAR no nothing just penalty. Rossi Im fully aware of the issues with juventus and referees over the years but chose to give an explanation of why he might have chosen not to give one in that situation as what i explained was in full accordance with the rule set. Them being cheaters og having refs in their pockets after returning to serie a is for the time being atleast not been proven so we can disagree and find situations suspicious which i have felt often in regard of decisions against us but it doesnt really answer blaz’ question.

blaz
Guest
blaz

As far as I know and the same was propagated during preseason, that the new rule is every handball in 16m area is a penalty and that it does not matter where the hand is. De Ligt’s hand was not in such position to argue what you said. I am convinced had the situation happen to Toro defender and Ronaldo stood behind to tap the ball in, it would be a red card and penalty for Juve, no doubt at all.

Martin Bernhard
Guest
Martin Bernhard

Im not necessarily disagreeing as im just as fedup with juve as most serie a fans but its still a different discusion and as i explained this is how he might have interpretted the ruleset but if there has been a change to them well yes then it does indeed seem even more conspicious not giving the penalty.

blaz
Guest
blaz

The main point is there should be no individual interpretations of the rules, if so then we don’t need any rules at all.

Martin Bernhard
Guest
Martin Bernhard

Idealy yes but as long there is a ref who has to decide and take responsebility from situation to situation that is how things will be and saying otherwise would be simplifying how it actually works,

Gems

Martin im pointing out that the rules change when Juventus needs them to, if this was not a penalty since his arm was in natural position, than how can the one agains Napoli be a penalty when his hand was in even more natural position and the ball didnt even hit the lower part of his hand it was close to the shoulder, the explanation from the reffs was that even the slightest touch with hand is a penalty, so im refering to that. I answer Blaz question in the second part, its simple all this reff “mistakes” which go… Read more »

Well first of all i wasnt aware of the rule change before blaz pointed it out and i havent seen the napoli situation from what i currently remember but all i see is that the header by belotti caught de ligt in a compromising situation which he could hardly act upon in time. He did try to avoid it though but if the ruleset now says that a ball touched in the area it did now is a penalty then obviously it should have been rewarded.

I wonder why we bought Rebic in the first place. This coach should try him and Leao at both wings sandwiched by Piatek. Calhanoglu needs shooting and dribbling traning please. No single skill . Even the set piece we bought him for, he cannot perform . Calhanoglu would have 100 shots and no one would near the post. Wait a minute. Are there enmity between his shots and the goal post ????

Milan-Lazio 45 minutes- probably the most creative Milan I’ve seen in a while, and probably the most vulnerable as well. Our back 2 in the mid, Bennaser and Krunic, provide good support to the offense but we’re in many cases gulity of huge gaps out back. Hernandez also leaving huge gaps, and Lazio noticed this and exploited it not least in their goal. Hakan and Paquetta are looking good going forward, but without enough precision. Right now we dont have a good deffender. Mybe rodrigez can fill in when he get fit.

he needs to be used more time and find his space..but milans biggest difference to lazio is..they have already a squad fitting together..in all departneds..milan just dont have this fluid forward game where players know the movement of each other blindly..
leao keeps the ball to long and piatek is like rebic ,they cant move elegant on the ball..we dont have quality killer front line..its just frustrating that we did not buy the right mixture for up front..

He’s known to have poor first touches. Serie A is a whole different league compared to Bundesliga when it comes to defence. Poor touch means losing ball. The defence is also more compact so that poor dribble won’t work. Rebic shined before also because of the counter-attacking style employed in his previous team. In the national team, he’s helped by the quality midfielders, which guarantee good passes.

I see nothing wrong with Pioli team selection and his formation. It’s a modern playing style and also simple way of pressing & attacking.

The problem is players quality (Maldini’s fault) and players physical condition (Giampaolo’s fault). We simply can’t play 90 minutes. Hakan who actually played really good went invisible in second half. The only player that is ready, is Theo who somehow skipped Giampaolo’s physical trainings due to injuries.

I hope fans understand that Pioli isn’t the problem. He is actually the first coach in so many years that is normal, logical and smart.

What’s our problem in milan?
What’s happening?
Now Suso didn’t play yet same story
Our players are a bit slow and lost tolazio because they have team work
Let hope we avoid relegation
We truly need experienced players
Leao wasn’t ready for this match today
Am tired honestly
What’s our problem?

the difference is ..look lazio front 3 correa and luis alberto are fine dribbelers withs skill to move elegant the ball and body even in small space, pass and shoot ..then u have a killer in immobile who can play with the ball and make the goal look milan if piatek does not get the ball on his feed to shoot or on his head ,he is useless.the moment u want or must to involve him in open play or short space he is killing the attack.he cant move with the ball.its ugly to watch the turk can do nothing realy… Read more »

I am pi*sed at myself mostly. Week in week out I waste my time on this, hoping to see something else. I cannot even call it a game or match or football. This is utter sh*t and I’m not having any more of it. Just shut this club down, lock the door and go home

This team played well compared to the past games. There is lot of energy, determination and so on. We should continue with this line up instead of changing squad every time. The more they play together the more they understand one another . Lazio played like they are the master of the game because they have been playing together for long and secondary they have fine dribblers upfront.Apparently their dribbling skills might have been acquired over time. We should stick with thi line up until January to make solid changes .

Team didn’t deserve to lose, in football goal is scored once mistake come on, in this particular match milan was great after very long time, the only thing that managers of the club should take into consideration is making players understand to play for the jersey (like benaccer and Krunić to give their head for the ball and serve the team) because apparently some of the players seem to play just because they have contract with milan, Leão is obviously good player but he’s not Serie A ones that players must fight to win not walking , Rebić is a… Read more »

Some improvments but in general not enough, Lazio over run us in the second half. Bennacer is improving but i would still preffer a modern DM and play Bennacer a bit forward he is just to small for DM we have no arial cover in the mid at all and that leads to many chances for the opposition, i see him as Alan in Napoli a CM. Samu proved once again that he can challenge Suso spot if he is given the chance, and Piatek proved that he is a one season wonder. One of our main problems is not… Read more »

Stop living in a dilusinal world. No world class player will come to milan. They are not a top team. The faster milan fans understand this the better. They need ro rebuild and thats painfull, look at Liverpool before klop and juventus before conte, now look at manchester, it takes time. How much did inter spend these last 5 years before they finaly got to a respectable level. Milan shouldnt continue changing plans now will futher set us back. But ont thing is clearn, we are lacking experience. Specialy in the back, 1 experience CM to pair with ramagnoli and… Read more »

World class players have went in China so why wouldnt they come in Milan if you pay them ? We pay yearly sallary which is on pair with Inter, so instead of spreading this on bunch off average players you can give it to few quality ones like Inter does. Second we are rebuilding for a decade all ready, what would be enough time according to you ? Experienced players means nothing if those players are average or even worse average players on a decline, we have Biglia who is 34 is that not experienced enough ? But is it… Read more »

Those teams always had atleast 2 top players even when they were down. You cant aim for top 4 if your squad cant match with squads from the top 4.Milan is a huge club and unfortunately, demands they get to the top level as soon as possible. We cant copy Ajax because our youth system and strategy is far from as solid as theirs.Even if we have to bite the FFP bullet,we need 1 or stars in this team to steer the towards actual progress.Rbery,Balotelli,Pastore are all top players, but, but the clubs they went to suggests that you are incorrect in your logic.

Am angry about the result but i have hope in this team, they surprised me with their impressive ball plays, the difference in the match was just the fact that lazio players had more chemistry than our players due to the new faces in our team, i love the character we showed not minding this players are still knowing themselves, pioli atleast has improved our play, what we need now is a constant lineup so that the team chemistry can increase…am not afraid of juve and napoli, without the points, they have not been playing better, if we can improve… Read more »

I think for next game we should finally switch to a full 3 man defense formation. In this way, lack of defensive work from Bennacer and Theo would be covered with additional defender. Roma, Mussa , Duarte , Caldara or even Gabbia at back. Bennacer & Krunic at center. Theo at left, Samu at Right and Hakan, Piatek Bonna or Leao at attack. This 4-3-3/3-4-3 formation that we played in last 4 games, is amazing in theory but sadly our players are too dumb to be able to pull it off. Calabria/conti/borini are useless at right side when they can’t… Read more »

The first half we played decent enough. Krunic and bennacer were very exciting to watch. Everyone was playing well except for calabria and it just shows how much the right side struggles compared to the left. Second half was completely different. It looked as if we were tired and mentally afraid. That’s what is troubling us more than anything this year. We play with fear. Theo Hernandez comes from a team who were champions, he plays without fear and it shows. He’s been incredible. Pioli has made the right choices, in players and subs. He’s got to get into their… Read more »

Comparison to last year, same period reveal some scary numbers, such as the fact that Milan lost only eight games last season and are already on six this time around.

In the first 11 games of 2018-19, Rino Gattuso – also counting the rescheduled Round 1 game against Genoa – picked up 21 points versus the current 13.

Ten less goals have been scored compared to this time last year (21 to 11)

Watchiing Milan recently has been difficult considering the poor game play and lackluster performances by the players. We have lost 6 matches in 11 and we deserved to loose all Some say We have no luck, But I say we have players that are not willing to pull their weight and its time to let them go Hernandez, Donna, Krunic, Leao, Duarte, Benna, and Calhanoglu(At times) seem like the only ones trying to put an effort. So far the bulk of the team including our captain have been below average There are younger, Hungrier, more determined players who may still… Read more »

Like someone said it’s rinos fault for only teaching grinta.

Now we said a leader is needed, can we accept that Rino gave they gran what it needed? After one point off CL we are back to Inzaghi’s era.

Elliot mistake was prefering season tickets over results. RIP Rossoneri

1. Rino resigned
2. Just because this season is bad, it doesn’t mean last season was ok
3. In last 4 games we played better than all Rino’s reign
4. Rino was inexperienced so it was a mistake
5. Maldini & Boban are inexperienced and they are mistakes
6. Stop acting like he was Carleto or Guardiola. He was the same person who ruined our chance of getting to UCL

First of all I read my comment too many times and still I see no insult in it. Second of all not everyone has the right to have an opinion. Lots of stupidity in the world, Religious people, Jehadis, human eaters, and etc. Are they entitled to their opinion? What if my opinion is to insult you? Then by your logic you should respect my opinion? “I think you are dumb”. “Please respect my opinion”! And about the attention. Just search my name before making stupid Comments. I bet Thanks for your comments. Day by day, you making me realize… Read more »

“How stupid Milan fans are here to vote down ZALATAN?”

Stop the excuses you insult anyone who doesnt share your opinion as you think that talking like that makes you smarter. Also stop judging people if they like videogames you a few months ago said 343 was perfect for you in PES so rino should try it. Like a fellow friend said you are a hypocrite.

I’ve had heated arguments but I respect people’s opinión, you on the other hand are an inmature dictator desperated for attention.

Rip Milan
Absolute shit show
Bad in defence
Bad in attack
Bad in midfield
Average players ,
Closer to bottom 4 than top 4 in every department
Now no decent player will want to play for easy beat
Mid table pushovers

No, the players with an average tactician having more heart than football shown that they are more than capable to fight for 3rd place. They problem resides in the lack of leadership in the team. Last season Gattuso acted as our leader, on the pitch the only commander is Donnarumma. Giampaolo perhaps had more ideas tactically speaking, but was a horrible manager of Spirit attitude and trust. All he did was talk Crap about Milán who ended to demotivating an already depressed team. Pioli had experienced this kind of situations so he might know how to handle it. But as… Read more »
