Giacomo Bonaventura will not even be on the bench tonight at San Siro against Lecce for Milan due to an injury.

The path of Stefano Pioli starts tonight when Milan take on Lecce in front of almost 50,000 fans at San Siro (20:45).

However, the former Fiorentina boss will be without Jack Bonaventura in this match. The squad list for the game was revealed this morning, and the name of Giacomo did not appear on it.

According to Milannews.it, the 30-year-old, who spent almost the entirety of the last season out due to a knee injury, is out of the squad as a precautionary measure. In fact, the Italian midfielder is suffering from a muscle strain in the left thigh flexors and is therefore unable to play.

Bonaventura will undergo more tests in the coming days to understand the extent of his injury. In any case, Lucas Paquetá will start tonight in the role of the left mezz’ala, where Jack usually plays.
