Ismaël Bennacer was pleased with the win over Brescia but noted ‘I still have a lot to learn in this role’.
Milan got their first win of the Serie A season today as they beat Brescia 1-0 thanks to a goal from Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
The Rossoneri did much better than they did last week against Udinese on Matchday 1, but were still far from brilliant. In any case, one of the standout performers was certainly new signing Bennacer, who played the full game.
“It was an important result, we won but I’m convinced that we can do even better. I’m happy because we’ve been more united, we’ve listened to our coach a lot. I played the ball a lot even though I still have a lot to learn in this role,” Bennacer, who came from Empoli earlier this summer, told DAZN at the end of the at San Siro.
“What we were lacking to score more goals? We have to be more ruthless, this match could have ended 3-0, 4-0. We will work on it and we will succeed, however we are more serene than a week ago. When you win it’s always good, now let’s concentrate on the national teams and then on the next league match.”
After the break, Milan will face Hellas Verona away from home. Afterwards, they have a game against Inter at San Siro, and it’s obvious that to beat Conte’s side, Milan will have to play better.
