Milan need a good start for morale. We need maximum points in all our games to build confidence leading up to the derby.

“maximum points for all our games” he says XD by the time we build our confidence we would have won the league with maximum points every game.

Yes. But Incase Milan doesn’t make it this year, it would be foolish to keep Giampaolo another year with yet another gamble to almost a decade without CL. So a simple solution should be to break the record for a world class coach like Pochettino with a long term contract. Assurance with a lot of time for innovative transformation. Who were The Spurs before the cool Cow boy showed up? Or Liverpool before Klopp, Milan before Ancelotti, or Barca with and Guardiola, Real with Zidane and Ancelotti? The point is that all the best coaches are the same. They have… Read more »

lol… the season hasn’t even began and u r already searching for a new coach. And BTW Milan had 5 Champions League before Ancelotti, Lipool 5 and Madrid countless. You ask who Giampaolo asked for, how dyu know he didn’t ask for Messi? Even if he asked for Lo Celso we wouldn’t be able to afford. Can u plz wait for the season to start before you conclude.

To get maximum points you must learn to field the best players. If tasteless Borini, lukewarm Suso, error prone Musacchio, out-of-position Calhanoglu and Castillejo all have a good game then Milan will win for sure. But Milan can’t win this game if Musacchio, Suso or Calhanoglu is poor. Their role is too important and connected on the same vertical line. I hope Calhanoglu has personally prepared himself and understand the importance of either driving the ball out from the deep or vertically passing the ball from the deep to create space for attacks when in possession. Suso on the other… Read more »

@the big dog. I agree, the coach will find out the hard way when he sees suso is ridiculously inconsistent. We need to get Correa now, or Isco. Someone who can drive forward and can beat 2 to 3 ppl while dribbling or passing

🙂 I have a crazy Idea. why not playing Bonna as SS? he is good at everything a striker needs. is it crazy? yes. is it more crazy than Borini as our starter midfielder? probably not

Borini is just for now dude he’s ahead in preparation than the other players so he’s just starting for I assume when bennacer an co are fully ready they will replace borini an co

So, as I have said before, Gabbia is ready for the first team, Maldini isn’t ! Gabbia was called, Maldini wasn’t ! Tiago Djalo was ready, but not for Milan, but for Lille, it’s a little difference, Lille has already lost a game with Djalo as a starter ! I don’t like Giampaolo insists with Borini mezzala, Castillejo second striker and Calhanoglu regista, having Kessie/Krunic, Leao and Bennacer. But let’s wait and see how we will play tomorrow, maybe it will be good. Anyway, we have more solutions than last year and a coach who knows how to manage the… Read more »

Not that i completely disagree with all of your assesments Alexmilan but calabria actually started out his career in the youth department as a right sided midfielder so its not exactly too far fetched to play him in the right sided mids. On the other hand playing montolivo would have been in my view as he hadnt played much for the last two seasons and seemed to be a problem in the locker room. I would though have fully supported to play mauri a bit more than we actually utilized him as he did offer something to the team compared… Read more »

It’s not important at all in which position you started your career, it’s important in which position you are the best, so don’t give me such explanations ! Montolivo in one foot, at 34 is far better than Calabria in CM/DM position ! He started Calabria as RCM ! It wasn’t a problem for me that he played Calabria out of his position, but the way he managed the reserves and the youth players ! Look at Halilovic, Simic, Torrasi, Tsadjout, Pobega, Tiago Dias, Bellanova. He had a lot of problems in defence and in midfield during the championship, but… Read more »

Well i wasnt suggesting we should play him there did i, but offcourse i agree that he should play as rb i just said he knew that position beforehand never said it was a wise choice either. Monto was ousted from the first team training so yeah i dont think we should have used him either, should have left the club many years ago and i was actually hopefull when he joined us. I agree gattuso didnt use some of our reserves enough or even gave some a chance but would rather that he had given some of the younger… Read more »

Conti was out of action for about 2 years, Abate they were knowing that he won’t renew, why did they not involve Bellanova ? Tiago Dias had a positive season at Primavera and he didn’t receive any chance, despite Milan needed wingers !

I get that conti was out for nearly two seasons but you cant really expect bellanova to surpass either calabria or abate in the squad just because you want to see him fielded. Besides of that saying we or he knew he wouldnt be playing for us this year is mere speculation to my knowledge atleast. Finally When bellanova played his first game in france he had positional problems that caused 3 goals so not really so sure he currently would do much better in italy than in france. I do like seeing young players fielded so on that front… Read more »

Rather weak lineup to start the season, I pray it’s enough for Udi.

When you have Borini we don’t need any other player to play, he’ll out run 21 other player in the outfield to show his commitment but sometimes quality cannot be replaced by industrious commitment. Sad he is still our player, but then again Forza Milan!

can promise you all that Milan will not win tomorrow’s opener against Udinese. I can bet with anyone who doubts me. I love Milan and I always want us to win , but we won’t win tomorrow. Not with Castillejo and Borini. Is this a joke or what??! I’m only sorry for Giampolo because he doesn’t know how mentally weak this Milan team can get. I just hope tomorrow’s loss doesn’t affect us for the next 3games until the derby

don’t worry Master Giampaolo

Playing against udinese on the first day of the season on their stadium wouldnt be a guaranteed win regardless of who of our players we might have started with. Its not like i think we shouldnt win it but its not the easiest game around even if some of our fans believe it will be a walk in the park. The emphasis under giampaolos milan will be put on the system before the player so it does make sense that he uses the players that has become more aquainted with his tactics and vision of how he wants us to… Read more »

Definitely not the ideal starting eleven most fans would wish for, but nonetheless, it’s the most prepared eleven we have, and that’s fine with me. My only concern is that in preseason we’ve looked horrible against teams that sat back and waited on us, and we found it very difficult to break the lines of their defenses, so I hope Giampaolo has had enough time to address and improve those issues.
