Report: Monaco’s offer for Kessié was rejected immediately, the midfielder does not want to join them either

Franck Kessié has attracted interest from Monaco but their offer was too low and the player doesn’t seem too interested, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi reported on Thursday evening that Monaco are in talks with Milan for midfielder Kessié.

Bouhafsi suggested that Milan want over €20m for the player, that Franck is interested in the move, and that the Rossoneri are already working on finding a replacement for the 22-year-old Ivory Coast man.

Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia, however, provided an update on the situation during Calciomercato – L’originale: “The Monaco offer submitted was immediately returned to the sender, it was deemed too low. Milan don’t want to sell Kessié and the player doesn’t want to go to Monaco.”

It’s hard to imagine the club giving up on Kessié at this stage of the transfer market. It’s been reported several times in the past weeks that he’s impressed Marco Giampaolo greatly in training.

Kessié is not going anywhere at this stage of the transfer and I wish we could get some more quality players to pair our youthful new players to contest against The heavyweights like Juventus Napoli Inter and everybody should watch out for Florentina If Truly we want to make a big statement in this up coming season we need more experience players who can change and stand up for the game when it’s getting tough Correa will be a good acquisition for us and Icardi has said he wants to stay in milan instead of living somewhere else so we… Read more »

First of all 20 million euros for a player we got for 32 million? Monaco is being silly.
Even if we are going to sell Kessie not for that rubbish price. At the very least, 40 m or even more considering some of the sales we have seen in this market.

It’s shows that other clubs take Milan for granted since over these but I’m sure they are now learning because Milan is becoming ambitious again and won’t be taken for granted anymore. Like with Athletico they have eventually changed their stance on the ridiculous evaluation of Correa at 55m. Milan offered only 40 and wouldn’t add a nickel more. They have won the long dragging battle of that negotiation. No more overrated prices for players. But I just hope we qualify for CL next season so that we can get high profile talent even if it requires spending record sums.… Read more »

Don’t sell Kessie. His shooting accuracy and decision will be better through match experience. Only few players in the world possess his level of stamina and work rate. His attribute combination of determination, bravery, aggression and technique is rare. He will developed into great player

Yes sir. Totally agree. It would be foolish of Milan to sell Kessié. He will turn into a world class player when he improves on his shooting and passing.

He is also playing around better players this season. In football you improve around quality players just like Gattuso did playing alongside Pirlo and Seedorf.

Fake News. Period. How can Maldini sell a player who owns the position on the team? Moreover without a reliable backup, or a deal in pipeline for a better player?

These other teams looking at us as dumbest mess of a club. They should get b**ch slapped just for offering us 20 mil for Kessie. Now we should offer 2,5 mil for Pellegri, as we might need backup striker.

I agree but to me It doesnt really seem like this story is correct and my first thought was exactly that if it does hold any truth to it then pellegri surely must be part of the deal, 20 mil + pellegri for kessie that i could accept. Varying reports, some say the deal is dead and some say the opposite. Theres also reports that kessie has no interest in joining monaco and if he was to leave us then would only join another big club. If we sold kessie for 20 mil i would consider maldini and his management… Read more »

I take that from Giampaolo’s comment that he needs to work on discipline in play of some players. Thinking back when Gattuso was at helm, they did seem lost on the field as they were rellying mostly on their instincts rather then following a structured plan or strategy.

I don’t wanna get too excited but I think concerning all above, we will only now see the true potential of some players namely Kessie and Paqueta. Of course if they are willing to follow instructions of our coach.

That is why I am glad Kessie is staying, he has enormous potential.

the coach idea of play should be transferred down to the youth sector , coming in to play in the first team should be easy ….

If we keep hyping up mediocrity this will continue to happen. Some of you guys valuation of him does not match with reality and this player has played awful for the most parts of the last two seasons. It’s only our own fault that we overpayed for him.

I agree. Although we mustn’t entertain such deliberate low offers. Everyone seem to be overvalued nowadays. Let’s do ours too

So he and his wife can hold Milan hostage like the way they hold inter. As much as I like Icardi, I dont like his agent and she’s going to give him alot of problem and remember he stole the wife of his best friend Maxi Lopez who played for milan
