The figures of Monaco’s offer have been revealed, but it seems unlikely that Franck Kessié will be on the move.
Last night it was reported that Monaco have submitted an offer for Milan’s Kessié. Gianluca Di Marzio suggested that the bid was quickly returned to the sender and on Friday Milannews.it’s Antonio Vitiello provided an update on the situation.
L’Equipe claimed this morning that Milan and Monaco have an agreement for Kessié on the basis of around €35m but Vitiello is painting a different picture.
The MN journalist reports that Milan received an offer from Monaco worth somewhere between €23m to €28m. Milan are evaluating the offer but with 10 days to go to the end of the mercato it would be very difficult for the club to find a Kessié replacement so the deal is very complicated.
Vitiello adds that another thing to consider is the personal terms between Kessié and Monaco. The player has apparently requested a rather high salary from the Ligue 1 club. Nicolò Schira of La Gazzetta dello Sport is saying that from the entourage of the Ivory Coast man, it filters that the 22-year-old is doing very well at Milan and would like to stay in the squad of Marco Giampaolo.
Schira also writes that the offer of Monaco is 25m and so it’s not very tempting for Paolo Maldini, Zvonimir Boban and Frederic Massara. More updates could arrive but Kessié seems likely to stay.
