Rafael Leão had a 5.5-hour meeting at Casa Milan today to define all the last details as he’s set to join for €25m plus bonuses; Léo Duarte will arrive tomorrow to complete his €11m transfer.

The Milan mercato is moving forward as after officially selling Cutrone to Wolves, the Rossoneri can now complete the signings of Leão, 20, and Duarte, 23.

As reported by Milannews.it, Leão landed in Milano from Lisbon on Tuesday morning at around 11:00 CEST. He then went to Casa Milan with his agents and left after 5.5 hours to stay in a hotel in central Milano.

Milannews.it suggests that the Rossoneri and Leão have agreed on a contract worth €2m per season with bonuses taking the amount to €2.5m-€2.7m per season.  Everything is now set for his medical tomorrow and for the signatures; the medical was originally scheduled for today but got delayed.

Sky’s Peppe Di Stefano reported earlier on Tuesday that Milan will be paying Lille €25m plus bonuses for Leão and the deal will not be exceeding €30m. This is probably taking into account the fact that Tiago Djaló will move from Milan Primavera to Lille and he’s rated at €5m. Leão spent just one season at Lille and they are making a huge profit from him as they signed him on a free transfer.

Center back Léo Duarte meanwhile will arrive in Italy tomorrow. He’s already said goodbye to his teammates at Flamengo and he will join for €11m, making €1.2m per season for five seasons.

We got rid of Djalo who is one of the most talented young CB in europe, a Portugese under 21 international whom we beat big rival clubs for without even giving him a chance, i have no issues selling him if he didnt impress but we didnt even take him to USA tour like we did with Gabbia. It appears we also didnt include buyback option if he does well at Lille so we potentially may have sold a rising start for peanuts. Leao is also 30m capital gain for Lille who signed him for nothing last year, that’s huge… Read more »

Elliot owns Lille and Milan… i can only see a swap in this deal. Elliot is only moving his player within his teams.

Leao’s statistic is very promising. He has been playing since 17 and gradually increases his playing time. I don’t understand about Duarte. He is not a first team player. Does this mean, Gabbia will not included in the first squad because we already have Musa and Caldara?

Atletico already buy Joao Felix for 126 Million euro, Pepe’s asking price is 80+ million, even Zaha’s asking price is 80 millio!!!!!…..in that case Leao for around 30+ million is a win for us….. Though i m sad for Crutone but our management sold him under financial pressure coz we cant sell Silva below 38 millon n no Club bid him for that price yet but Cutrone is our won product n we got full 16+6 million profit…if Silva can score 15+ goals this season his price will reach upto 50 million next season….but i m still sad for Crutone… Read more »
