Theo Hernández picked up an injury on his debut, but there are also good news ahead of the Benfica game on Sunday.
Theo was in the starting line-up of Milan for the friendly match against Bayern Munich in Kansas City last night.
The left-back, who arrived this summer from Real Madrid for €20 million, was the Rossoneri’s best player but he had to leave the pitch before the end of the first half after suffering an injury to his right ankle.
Hernández was stretched off the pitch and was sent to a hospital directly. According to Milanewsn.it, good news came out of the medical tests as fractures in the knee of the Frenchman were ruled out.
It remains to be seen how long Theo will have to be out, an official statement has not yet been released by the club. It’s hard to imagine that the 21-year-old will be able to play against Benfica, but La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio, Ricardo Rodriguez and Suso should be fit to take part in Sunday’s game after missing Bayern because of minor issues.
Romagnoli is suffering from a bruise on his left ankle, Suso from a bruise on his left foot, Rodriguez from muscle fatigue and Musacchio from neck pain. None of these injuries are serious, though.
